  1. thanks for the update !! visibility is better now! but still hard to see things on the ground over basrah but now the player starts on deck without HMD one has to install it via comms/ground crew manually. (edit: checked in the miz file. in the base/complete mission its just "not installed"....in the short version its installed) also the wrong pilot forms up on my wing still. 407 instead of 410 i waited for smoke to lift off first ofc....this also breaks all the chitchat duting the way to padres it seems edit: strange thing is, that it worked the first time i flew it with the missing HMD. i quit, started again, and then i got this 2nd problem. in the first try i got the option to tell smoke to form up and then the fence in procedure. this is missing now. maybe the installtion of the HMS kills it somehow? i tried to get it working again, but i falied @baltic_dragon edit 2: short mission gives unlimited fuel for the player. thats a bit lame XD it also makes the carrier landin gmuch harder, because flying the loop with 43.000 lbs heavy plane is totally different
  2. problems since update 2.9.10.3948 1) Dutch forms on my Wing, not Smoke! This is not an issue when skipping part 1. But when i play it from the start, this occurs. 2) when skipping part1, padres is WP1, target area is WP2, so its mismatched with the kneeboard (padres = 2, target = 3). 3) the new fog makes visual spotting literally impossible in the target area. you have to either spot with the ATFLIR or overfly really close and mark the spot with the HMD and then look around with the ATFLIR again in IR mode to have a chance to find stuff. 4) I also dont know, how to perform a proper case1 recovery with that fog would be cool to get some fixes here. i also fear other missions will have the same fog-problems now. br icey

Besides the fact that AI is generally much more stupid than before the last update (like formation flying, refueling, waypoint approaches are utter garbage now), the wingmen in this mission do not bomb the intended targets (DPI2-4). So i have to take out all 4 targets and as result have already to RTB. so the whole A10-JTAC part of the mission is useless
  6. especially at the start airfield nellis with the many planes active there, i suddenly get maybe 5 fps on my 5900x with 64GB ram 3080 GPU it was butter smooth before
  7. I also have MASSIVE performance problems since the update. I cant even play single player campaigns anymore, because the stutters are so bad! Specially when many AI units are present like in the f-16 red flag campaign. I have like 5 FPS at the starting arfield. I also get constant CTDs when many explosions happen in a confined space. But this is not only in SP. Out own MP server is not functional anymore with AI units are active.
  8. AI seems very wonky in this patch anyway. I hope your workaround is successful! AI flies like idiots when approaching waypoints for example. shallow decent to then dive 60° down to hit the WP, etc. erratic turns, slowing down, then full ABing again....... but thats not your cup of tea ofc.....it only makes your work harder. ED really needs to work on AI behavior

  10. going forward, is ED considering streaming tech for maps? Like MSFS does, but with the high quality of DCS maps down to ground level? MSFS breaks apart with going low....
  11. happens VERY often when i move fast and look into a very nearby, big explosion. same happens when in free cam and flying towards one, like a cluster bomb explosion. its already the 4th time this happens, so i dont think thats RNG never had that before. my system is VERY stable normally when in DCS
  12. will try next time i try the mission. atm i fight mission 11 but then this should be noted in the mission notes maybe. because the initial order is, to use the radio comms to get to refuel, so its a bit confusing that you must not use it to end it when you have enough fuel
  13. update. i just dopped a bomb in the region he should drop, triggering this nullapparently i was supposed to bomb the APC, but that was NEVER told to me. in contrast weasel 41 told me to join up again

  17. hi enjoying the campaign so far and im now in mission 10. completed it pretty good and on the way home i picked the AAR option to take a sip. i do as requested, use the standard radio menu, take a few pounds, then i abort and call AAR complete via the on screen option. my wingman then exits the area instead of taking a sip himself, even he was the reason i picked AAR in the first place, as he reported bingo fuel before. he even flew all the way back to jirah and beyond XD mission did not proceed. no radio comms anymore....., and even i landed at the AB again and entered my hangar, nothing happened.
  18. is this the high quality ED promised? will this be improved? because this is disappointing quality tbh! i expected at least syria quality yes....thats in the high detail area, as you can see at the detailed other stuff, that is interrupted by these really bad filler textures
  19. its not uncommon for small developers, to hire freelancers for bigger projects. in such cases its also not unusual, that those have "creative" payment modalities. like - payment with money influx of the resulting sales - payment in terms of percentage per sale - etc. i find it pretty condescending how you sell your opition here, pretty much selling it as fact when in reality, you have not the slightest clue about anything

Hey Baltic, i tried to get this mission going 10 times now, and no matter what i do, it wont help. tomcat opens his wings and strikes the craft. even with removed chucks, with or without parking break, it either kicks me totally of the deck, or INS alignment fails and for what reason at all, i can't restart it
  21. yeah......when you go into the rearm + refuel menu, you can edit it to the mission code and then it works. but it would ofc be more convenient to have that set properly as before. but this is only a small inconvenience though. other issues are more severe. willl open another issue for mission 6.
  22. i set the laser codes of the pod and the GBU according to the kneeboard to 1665, but no matter how i drop it, it misses. have a feeling, that the glorious ED change with the stupid fuzes broke it, as the code must be set in the mission editor love it, when ed adds a feature, but renders a whole functionality useless as result PS: i guess this problem will be with ALL GBUs in all missions, where we have to use a non-standard (1688) code Changelog Added Bomb Fuze Options and Settings from ME - work in progress - missions where laser code is set to anything but default (1688) will need the code edited in Mission Editor using the new method. Also please note that changing the laser code of GBU via the aircraft avionics no longer functions. Code must be set in mission editor, or refuel/rearm.
  23. still a joke tbh, that ED only refunds with store credits personally i conclude. that i wont buy any more modules for this sim, when 3rd party support can seize over night like that specially taking into consideration, that ED promised, that this wont happen again after the other 3rd party desaster. the way ED handles this mess is not very promising......being trustworthy looks different. so i conclude further, that i wont buy any modules from ED either in future. pain in the butt, that i already preordered the Afghanistan map
  24. kickstarter: giving money to someone to START developing a product, WITHOUT being sure that it will be a successful product as envisioned. pretty high risk, that it doesnt and often they dont even get to mass production. EA: you pay to get, as the name gives it away, a product that is already existent, but is not yet 100% finished. and you get the promise that it will be completed in the end. for giving them money before full functionality, you get a discount. big difference
  25. f-15E radar dead for me too. when i set the timezone to -11 so its still 13th June, it works again. cant set the date though, as then the ED auth service fails 2 screens. the from today is dead. the one from "yesterday" works
