DCS Detent Calculator *Updated for the F-15E and Special Options*
Fulgrim replied to JCofDI's topic in DCS Modding
Was the software pulled down @JCofDI? I downloaded the zip file but only the spreadsheets are there. Thanks! -
By any chance, would you know where the AoA alert sound is located? I dogfight a lot and want to replace that shrieking tone for the Bluey intro song or something equally wholesome.

Fulgrim started following Default filters for slot selection screen
-
Hi. Since dynamic slots were introduced the performance in the slot selection screen has gone down, specially on servers with many planes that are not using dynamic slots due to multiple reasons (eg: Dogfighters, etc..). In order to alleviate this, it would be great if the slot selection screen was filtered by default to the aircraft we DO have installed; and even better if we could set our own default filters (eg: I have the F16 installed but I never fly it by default, or I'm never interested in RIO/CP-G/WSO slots, or I only want to see available slots...). This would greatly reduced the showcased available slots and help improve performance. Many thanks.

Northern Israel / Southern Lebanon detail removed
Fulgrim replied to Flying Toaster's topic in Bugs and Problems
Negative, @NineLinestated in the Discord that we should give feedback to @OnReTech in this thread. He wouldn't send us here if it were an ED decision. @OnReTach -
Northern Israel / Southern Lebanon detail removed
Fulgrim replied to Flying Toaster's topic in Bugs and Problems
At this point, if the developers @OnReTech don't explain themselves soon and provide a timeline for restoring the content, I'll file for a refund. Luckily, EU laws assist me and many others in these cases.- 264 replies

Mike Force Team started following Fulgrim

Hi Fam, I'm flying in VR and, as Nick Cage in that movie documentary, I have a serious case of lazy right eye, so I set my IHADSS to both eyes in special options. Then, when I try to boresight it, none of the eyes will do as center. When I check with the PNVS the alignment is off. To what does the IHADSS align to? Thanks.

Hey 9L, just want to say congrats: this is a brilliant example on how to communicate any crisis situation. It is clear, direct, it answers every answerable question, and lays out the next steps. Kudos to the team. It is unfortunate that this style of communication didn't come sooner, but I'm very optimist that this will mark the standard for future ED messages, and I encourage you to use it as a base to also communicate the platform roadmap. Thanks.

On the matter of the impossibly dirty and totally unreadable cockpits, I recalled that JDAF ground crews make a point of having their planes' cockpits spotless clean and in perfect condition. I searched for images of JDAF planes and, even though these planes are battered, you could eat steak tartar off these cockpits. Just search for "Mitsubishi F-2 cockpit" images and check it out. So, in order to respect the clearly different maintenance doctrines, and also to help VR users that cannot make sense of the current cockpits, could we at least have the JDAF textures without that layer of dust, grime, and grease? Thanks.

Hi fam, it’s not difficult to find posts every week where players seek solutions for using a mouse in VR. Whether for immersion, comfort, or other reasons, it’s clear that mouse clicking in VR hasn't been effectively addressed. The ED solution anchors the mouse at the center of the screen with a persistent, obtrusive cross. I've been using a system for the past two years that allows me to click with my gaze without a permanent yellow cross on the screen and to use the mouse whenever necessary. 0.- Decide which keys on your HOTAS will be assigned to the Left Mouse Key (LMK) and Right Mouse Key (RMK). ---- 1.- Download and install [Joy To Key](https://joytokey.net/en/download) (JTK). Feel free to purchase a license to support the project. ---- 2.- In JTK, bind your LMK and RMK to the controls assigned on your HOTAS. https://imgur.com/a/py01A3O ---- 3.- Still in JTK, open the advanced options for the LMK bind and navigate to the Mouse (advanced) tab. Select the target position at 50x & 50y and click on "Jump cursor to the target position...". Repeat for RMK. This will recenter the mouse anytime you press LMK or RMK. https://imgur.com/fOtS65o ---- 4.- (Optional) Now open DCS, go to Settings > Controls > UI Layer. Assign mouse wheel backward and mouse wheel forward if you want to control knobs too. I have them on the same binds as LMK and RMK but with a modifier. (Apologies, I didn’t know how to take a screenshot on this screen). https://imgur.com/a/1UqcWN6 ---- 5.- In DCS, go to Settings > Controls > VR and ensure that "Use Mouse" is checked. https://imgur.com/OJdkVDS -- With this setup, you can now: 1.- Use the mouse normally when needed. Don’t worry about where you leave the cursor; it will disappear after a short while. 2.- Click with your gaze: if the cross isn’t on the screen, pressing your LMK and RMK HOTAS binds will bring it up at the center of your gaze. Focus on where you want to click, and it will happen. The cross will disappear shortly thereafter. 3.- If you've set up the mouse wheel, you can also rotate knobs with your gaze.

What's the current state of all F35 mods? Is there anything flyable with acceptable quality? Do we have links? Thanks!

Can we expect strategic view to be included in the standard edition of TV2?

Hi, since the last update I noticed that sonic booms on fly-by camera were painfully loud. I lowered my World volume slider to 1%, but it's still very very loud. The rest of my sounds (cockpit, radios, switches, etc) are normal. My volume sliders are 50% on my AMP and 50% on Windows, which is perfectly fine for the rest of applications I use. Tested on a Hornet, no mods. Thanks.

All talk, Simmer In Name Only. The flight model is what it is. You may not want to use it to it's full extent, and it's ok if you want to fly that way, but for the rest of us is perfectly valid so please don't come here to gatekeep the rest of us while cherry picking what you simulate and what not based on your convenience. For the rest of us that elect to use the plane as the makers intended, here is the latest EM data by @contactlight

You're overperforming your ground crew, you know?
