Program the off/idle l and r to buttons 30 and 29 works well for starting and stopping the engines. Then use another free button on the throttle or elsewhere to hold in place of using the real fingerlifts as you push through to AB on the carrier, try using one of the rarely used diagonal POV buttons POV1_UL or UR seems to work for me. "With weight on the wheels, launch bar retracted and the arresting hook UP or with weight off the wheels, afterburner operation is initiated by advancing the throttles through the MIL detent gates into MAX. On the ground, an afterburner lockout system helps guard against inadvertent afterburner selection. With weight on the wheels and launch bar extended or the arresting hook DOWN, the afterburner lockout extends and the finger lifts must be raised or a force of approximately 32 pounds must be applied before the throttles can be moved to MAX" NATOPS A1-F18AC-NFM-000

Sweet thanks pretty interesting. I had the idea of doing this with the F16 SAM evasion HUD videos but couldnt work out how to get the data into TACVIEW.

Yes I agree the smoke trails do look good but I think there could be more flame variation depending on the missile. Watch some more AIM120 or AGM88 launches and you will notice the pronounced diamond effect that's currently missing. Its hard to compare videos or photos because there are so many unknowns (conditions, variant, etc) but I think we can all see that the current effects in game don't look as life like as they could. Again just a suggestion and maybe its on the way already with new Edge effects.

Hi guys request for an update to add some diversity to the missile effects. I think the current effects suit SAMS and Russian missiles but not so much for western missiles. Compare: AIM120 [ATTACH]139141[/ATTACH] I know lighting conditions and exposure probably change what we are seeing but the difference is still apparent, so should we bring back the diamonds for the western missiles and maybe missile add contrails depending on altitude? What do you think?

Hi guys, Using a closed headset I am finding it strange and disconcerting speaking over comms without a sidetone function. I know its possible to listen to my mic. directly through the hardware but its a on or off setting through the realtek menu. Without leaving the listen to mic on constantly i would like to know if its possible to somehow program a macro to switch the listen function on and off to simulate a sidetone function when only opening the mic. If anyone has similar problems or solutions please post here! Huge

Glad to hear! The difference on my end between hotfix 2 to 3 was pretty shocking. In the meantime does anybody know the previous version number so i can rollback via the updater? (hotfix 2) -

Hi im also experiencing this after update 3. Happily playing last night then updated today and FPS seems less than half with cockpit views feeling very sluggish. What changed? -
Hi guys, Just a quick request to have the A10 gun smoke persist in the sky for a small amount leaving a little trail from the intial firing position. The current smoke is looking good but only is present around the aircraft while firing. I know this is probably a performance thing but considering greater performance under 1.5 maybe its possible now?

Yeah you're correct now I'm more confused! Lots of photos of both loadouts. I wonder what the advantage/disadvantage of each is? Maybe different squadrons run them differently....? Still i would have thought having the 9X on the outside would always be the preference.

Not really an urgent issue but i have noticed the default loadouts always place the AIM9's on the inside of the wing pylons. Suggesting a change for all default loadouts placing IR missiles on the outside like noticed in real world vids or photos. Also probably makes sense to have your 9X's on the outside for off boresight shots. oh also please enable the 9x and a JHMCS!?

Hi guys i finally took the plunge and purchased a warthog! Very pleased. Anyway running through some checks i have noticed that the when the throttles are linked the inputs are differing by about 150 through the range. Just wanted to check if this was normal behaviour or if i should try the calibration.
