  1. 70-80% online. The single player is mainly testing, training, mission testing that sort of thing with the occassional mission, but the mission is normally to just test an idea for use in MP anyway.
  2. I sometimes get the odd behavour where the Mav will lock and track, but won't fire. I get no warning message in the Mav MFD. It does seem like bug behavour and may be specific to my install as my friends don't seem to get it. I'm not making silly mistakes that are common when learning the Mav and I use them quite a bit. Force Correlate is very handy for SAM systems :). At first I thought the problem was maybe a bug with my HOTAS, but keyboarding weapon release won't let them off. I found going around and recycling the entire process clears the error. It happens very rarely, maybe 1 in 25 shots. No big deal, but wondering if anyone has had that?
  3. The date I want to see Beta5 released is when ED is comfortable with it, no sooner. Whatever suits them is fine with me.
  4. With the HMIT system that Raytheon is installing, on top of the cueing and symbology that it will display will it also project TGP imagery onto the pilots field of view? If so then that is very nifty. I often wish there wasn't such a disconnect between where the TGP was pointing and my view out the canopy. Even a simple cue in your field of view when looking in the appropriate direction would be a huge help. One can only dream.
  5. There you go. It's 1920x1200. Aircraft is called 'Manslaughter Bambi'. http://i.imgur.com/Xld6r.jpg
  6. Sure, I'll put it here in a few hours if I can get home soon. I'll finish it a bit better, like paint the inside of the stabs, as it really was just a throw together.
  7. And from the dead I resurrect thee!!:devil_2:
  8. Night flying is my favourite. How ED has worked the lighting in the cockpit really adds to the immersion.
  9. We had pods because we had been flying missions. Most of those scenes were cut from a few missions during a single session, except the one where the lead flew low level inverted. For the lights the Nav light switch is circled. Middle is off, up is flashing and down is steady. The Anti-collision is in the red square. At the start you need to press 'Left Cntl+P' which I think is the master arm for external lights. 'Left Shift+P' disarms the lgihts again. The Anti-collision light won't engage when the external lights are disarmed.
  10. It was everything I could do to not break away on the flight controls on the more closer passes.
  11. Been making up textures for our squadron and took a few minutes to butcher the base texture into a WW2 theme.
  12. Just a few fraps vids cut together recorded during an online night between missions. If I was the motivated type I would use RecordAVI on the tracks, but alas no. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_NAuhOyvhg Youtube was nice enough to mute the sound citing copyright. I couldn't use game sound as Teamspeak was recorded as well and there was a fair bit of language that might have been frowned upon.
  13. I got this issue yesterday. Did a multiplayer SEAD mission with a friend throwing rocks at SA-15s and SA-06s. I was overwatching and feeding datalinks to him and he would come barreling in over a hill to break things. At the end I formed up on him and we RTBed. Did a nice little formation landing and thought it would be good to record the track the next day and put it on youtube. Playing back the track, instead of me landing left of centerline on his port quarter, I instead landing on his starboard quarter off the runway and proceeded to hit a piece of airfield equipment and come to a firey death. The track is consistently the same when replayed. I also noticed that during the mission the tgp sometimes wasn't pointing correctly at targets in the track.
  14. Whilst we are on this subject. I normally used the method that just entered offset marks into a new custom flight plan and switched between that and the main flight plan, but obviously the TMS right short and then using CDU on Mark function is much more efficient and I've switched to that. The only thing is is how do you delete these marks? The flight plan marks are easy to delete by just selecting them and pressing 'CLR'.
  15. I get the same thing once in a while on takeoff. I switch off NWS at 50-60kts, always very gentle with controls on takeoff roll, rotate at 120-125kts, rotate is measured and deep. The nose wheel break is very rare, but tends to happen around the 90-110kt range, just before I start rotation. I normally have a pretty decent load on (Who doesn't on takeoff?), but there seems to be no correlation between field condition and nose wheel failure.
  16. I had a "CADC NOT READY" warning come up on both MFD's. I was at 21,000ft doing a wide orbit around some old T-55's and practicing marking, SPI slaving and Maverick arming. I had forgotten to turn on Pitot Heat, which is the only cause I could think of. I had lost all barometric and airspeed sensing. I recycled all electronics, but no go. Silly me. A real pain in the arse, but excellent fidelity.
  17. Very nice work, thanks for sharing this.
