  1. It does not spell/say "nuit"
  2. You could press esc before changing screen focus. (Using alt-tab, maybe) This way you can watch the tutorial without machingun fire disturbing the sound.
  3. Thank you for the clarification. I still gonna use the autohover, because it have worked fine for me in so many occations. (And it is a "must" when using the periscope) I only had some problems identifying whether it was active or not. I have noticed that the lights seem to have two positions: upper and lower. And I have come to believe that when it "drops" to lower pos. it is inactive.
  4. The Kola map is a different beast from the rest, since those are mostly desert, ocean, or both.
  5. Oh! Mildly interresting: The USS Gerald R. Ford was on Norwegian tour in the start of June. That was a majestic sight in Norwegian fjords.
  6. Starfighters, Sabres and F16s. https://ac.nato.int/archive/2021/norway-protected-the-airspace-for-over-60-years
  7. The spin often comes from a change in collective. Certain points/posistions triggers jerky torque effect. As if rotors "jump" into a much higher alpha. -With the fact that there is no lift on the first 50-55% of the collective when on ground, that point might be around there. And the Auto hover light remain on wether it has authority or not. I suspect it should go dark when inactive. And as you said; auto slave can only adjust track to the right.
  8. Nevermind, gentlemen. I got it now. All I needed was this little discussion to bring my head around it. It did not work for me the first time I tried, and I just haven't relied on/trusted it since. Now that I control the new FM better, I tried again, and: Bring it as close to a hover as you can. Trim. Activate CSV autohover Trim to stabilize more. Find target in with camera and lase for measure. Activate (ALV) "heading align" (The Gaz now aligns with target) Fire -Its beautiful! Yes. There are some erhm.. "anomalies" But they can be overcome. The reason for my earlier spins, was aligning with camera that pointed backwards.
  9. Again, sorry for spamming, but I haven't found any documentation on the updated model, and now I have the found correct terms to fit the holes in my knowledge. Does the (ALV) "heading align" work? And what does it do? I can not figure out what it actually does at the moment. Because it does something but I can't make sense of it. (I did use it with success on the former issue)
  10. Sorry, guys, and thanks for your inputs. But I'm at work, and can not test. But I just remembered the following situation: I'm in a stable, manual fully trimmed hover. If I activate the CSV autohover, I get a hefty change in attitude, but it mostly stabilize itself with a little help from pedals. Then I activate the ALV heading align , and now it start spinning like crazy. As if cancelling the trim.
  11. If these come from my old CH pedals, I'm in a good place. (I am almost certain I've got new Thrustmaster Pendular Rudders coming my way for birthday) But I do not experience this in other modules. But then again, the Gaz is the most agile/touchy one. I whish..
  12. Sudden spikes = jerky changes of position/orientation. Sometimes during (slow) corrections, in transitions, and sometimes when in manual hover.
  13. If this implicates it only affects me, that would be good news. New pedals should fix that. My pedal curves are on the default, linear setting. I just see this in the Gazelle, and I saw descriptions that I interpreted as similar behaviour with other users as well. So I assume it is a characteristic of the new FM, and need some first aid asap. "Mediiic! I need a medic over here!"
  14. I can't imagine me getting used to those sudden and powerful "spikes" out of nowhere. Especially when she start spinning, and the pedal inputs don't do anything.
  15. She's acting like I have spikey pedals. It even has spikes when not moving pedals. Also "negative spikes" as in no effect to some pedal inputs. This is a pretty serious flaw, and should get a priority quick fix. -Because this thing is addictive, and that makes me run into this way to often.
  16. That would be very useful to put it mildly.
  17. Is there any tuning/setting for the periscope? In VR it is like looking through the bottom of a coke bottle. Fun using it, but hard, because of the lack of focus and optical quality. Maybe it is realistic? But if there is some functionality there to adjust, I haven't found it. (Yet) Are there?
  18. Joining the "club" to bump. I am avoiding the use of F10 map, because it is so risky. With my old Quest2, I could just alt tab out of the problem. But that does not work with current Reverb G2 I'm not 100% sure, but it would seem that stuttering through the sky a while, and hitting F10 coupla times more, slowly calms things down. But mostly, I have to quit and restart. -Not so fun after flying 60 clicks in the Gazelle.
  19. Strange as it might seem; it has a lot to do with personal perception. At the moment, it is perceived as missing textures, because they do change slightly when real close. If this "vision" is natural due to egyptian building tradition, combined with mentioned "Lahaina Noon", I probably could feed that into my mind and live with/enjoy that. It seem, however that present visuals are a tiny bit on the wrong side of the margins. Thank you!
  20. I just love the "new" Gazelle! Flying the The Apache is like being in a Hollywood movie. Flying the Gazelle is like being in a documentary
  21. True! I do not know what they do either, and without using mentioned autopilot or NADIR, I allways manage to obtain a hover solid enough to find and lase targets until boom! Sometimes when activating second row light, I start to spin. Hope to learn more soon. But thank you for mentioning the NADIR in this context, as I have never checked it out, but now I feel inspired and believe I will find something useful. Do I will immediately google the term
  22. That is correct. But for your own wellbeing, and for the sake of better DCS performance, it is a smart move to exlude the DCS folders from the antivirus. The risk of getting infected from ED, is not very likely.
  23. Ouch! That makes sense. Thanks a lot!
  24. I'm on my way through the very rewarding "Combat Order - Falkland 1982 V1.1 (by C98)" campain. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3329055/ Loving it and the Gazelle, my new favourite! But the tablet is missing, and I do have to change model in ME on some missions to get a bird with weapons. (Where pre choice = TOW) Are the old models still there, and not upgraded, or what is going on?
  25. Cockpit looks a bit small, so I've set "Force IPD distance" = 55-57 under "VR" That was an even better experience for me.
