  1. Notice: "If aimed in paralel to the ground" In other cases, the highest point of a trajectory determines the fall time. Downward acceleration is the same for both the dropped, and the fired projectile: 9.82 m/s2
  2. It actually is gravity, and height above ground that determines the fall time. Not the distance to the target. As soon as the projectile leaves the barrel, it start to drop, and will use the same time to fall as if dropped from the same height without any forward velocity; A bullet dropped from 10m use the same time to hit the ground as one fired from 10 above ground. (If aimed in paralel to the ground) Sorry for double posting an already established topic. Thank you, who ever did, for merging my post.
  3. If I fire the gun when "bal limit" is present, the projectiles seem to just vanish somewhere in trajectory. (Making anything in the path totally safe)
  4. Textures (from cockpit in AH64) does not load until they are very close/under the aircraft. Which is already a problem area due to stutter/lag/ghosting. Eg. textures on radar domes, coastal rock formations in Marianas, and general city buildings in South pacific theatre. Also on some main airport buildings, Caucasus. I've tested with distance draw settings and load radius both large and small. Makes me pessimistic, because more textures are more demanding, and with the situation allready bad, I fear fixing texture loading would give more stutter.
  5. Test mission started fine, with "GPU bound" in green. Closing in on some AI-action, it went to "CPU bound rendering thread" in red letters in spite of lowered setting (vs former version) Motion reprojection off. Terrible ghosting and cockpit micro stutter. That nightmare is back. Specs in signature. Edit: I have the same experience in all startup versions; --force etc, Open composite, and both with and without Openxr.
  6. Select TADS on RHG?
  7. How do I trigger a group after conditions are met? Conditions setup: Infantry group on late activation "All of red coalition out of zone" After this I want Infantry group to go to/follow waypoint(s). I have tried a few alternative activation choices, but they just will not move.
  8. Make no mistake: The proof is in the pudding! I am still so impressed at times, my girl catch me going "Ooooh! Aaah" behind the VR glasses. Pure pleasure"
  9. Now thats a lot of bread, and a tiiiiny amount of butter.
  10. Aren't newsletters supposed to have some news in them?
  11. I don't use any. I loathe them all. But I'd had to listen to a few. It's like having Stephen Hawking at the other end.
  12. Text to speech is not ready to replace voice acting yet; As in they are just annoying. That said; My own acting voice s*cks as well. It would be nice to have access to someone that could read a (good) script. It would lead me to upload more single missions. Also: Is there someone I could have review/assist me on mission(s) where I'm stuck in progress?
  13. I'm fairly new to DCS, and started out when I saw that they were going to release the Ah 64. This business model is what we in Norway refer to as "selling the hide before the bear is shot" The price of a "pre-release" that is going to let me download a WIP seem a little steep, considering the the lesson learned from AH 64 that is still WIP. I'm really not comfortable with the rhetorics used, as they remind me too much of emails as discussed on Dr Phil involving Nigerian princes. That said, as it seem to me they are operating on economical margins, I'm hitting the "Purchase" button and give them a "godspeed" as I've done on a few inferior modules with intentions of pure support. Because all in all; DCS world is my absolute favourite product. (Well I'm leaving out a couple of my guitars in this equation)
  14. I think this will be my new strategy (on landings) from now on. Even if I'll have to start a new learning curve, allmost from scratch. Since I recently switched from Quest2 to Reverb G2, I have a totally new experience with DCS anyway. And with that; much more motivation. Thanx, guys.
  15. I am able to repeatedly land on shipdecks and small (stampsized) spaces after a lot of practice. But they are not allways graceful. This is mostly due to the unpredictable effect of pedal corrections (Which I need a lot of, every timeI adjust collective) If I were on the development team on Boeing at that time, I probably would suggest to disable SCAS on pedals under a certain speed. Or at least try to make it predictably linear. Just to test if it could actually be of some assist to the pilot. As this works now, I perceive it more as "Hey! Lets just make this more challenging, because, why not?" (Or I just need even more practice) (Or I need new pedals)
  16. Thank you for your patience, Admiki. I do get the "hold trim release" a nice piece of info for me at this time. Been practicing a bit tonight. I'll try to make it clearer: I do not understand how the SCAS canceling my pedal inputs is helping. Why is it there in the first place? I have springed pedals (CH Products Pro pedals)
  17. Are there any calculations going on? Or does it just assume that pedal inputs are inadvertent, and therefore cancelling? I havent understood how this is helpful yet.
  18. Thank you. It is no su much a problem when changing heading. More when trying to make small adjustments during landing. Esp. in tight/crowded spots. And in those situations; pedal inputs only. Small inputs simply does not apply anything due to the counter effect of the SCAS.
  19. I find that the SCAS is cancelling my anti-torque input and trim. It is simply countering every anti-torque input. Effectively removing my chances of doing anything with precision. And I can never get enough reliable experience to be able to predict the result of its behaviour.
  20. Can confirm, I get that to.
  21. Any news? -Because, now it is affecting the MAD AH-64D Campaign by Stone Sky as well. Sounds like me trying to start my old Volvo 144 1974 model back in the 90's
  22. Thank you, Stone sky. Still; when I land, and take off after being cleared by ground crew, he is way off, and there's no chance to catch up. Like I said, he is allready over Abu Dhabi intl. My only (logical) option is to follow flightplan to wpt 4. ..land there, and end the mission.
  23. Well, he is telling me to orbit, so I do. Then I land, and wait for another 30 seconds. (What is that all about?) By the time I take off, he's gone. So I go to wpt 4, and at that point he is way off somewhere around Abu Dhabi intl.
  24. Thanx a bunch, gentlemen. That took care of my long lasting, and huge confusion. Can't wait to try after work. Although, it has never ran better than now. Graphics are great, and I just have some microstutter moving head sideways. It disappears with motion repo activated, or all AA to off. Still hasn't decided if I can live with that rotorjello in tha apache, or not. Exited to try the real native mode.
