None of us knows really how far it is along. For all we know it might be with the beta testers now. I have talked with a few beta testers and they wont answer any questions (rightfully so i might add) The F-15 seems pretty much ready and just needs green light from ED and the kiowa seems pretty much ready as well. I am just hoping we will have our beloved phantom unvailed in the 2023 & beyond video.

With the amount of new features and modules on the assembly line in DCS the 23&beyond video is going to be lit any way. But I hope for the life of me that we get the unveiling of the phantom.

I am sure HB did their very best to finish it but with a war putting a few employees in a bit of a pickle and combined with personal problems (And that's just the things we know of) things tend not to go as planed. I'm waiting for the 2023 & beyond video and I'm back to overdosing on Hopeium that we will see it unveiled there.

The phantom did not have any spesific anti ship weapons. During the Iran-Iraq war, IRAF used high/low drag bombs as well as Mavericks against tankers in the Persian gulf.

I was overdosing on Hopeium for something before Christmas but I am sure we will hear something real soon, likely we will see something in the 2023 & beyond video. But to the HB team and everyone else, Merry Christmas and hope you all get a good vacation and lets hope for a q1 23 release

1. from what I get the phantom don't "align" because it only have simple analogue computer and only require a warmup (3 min I think) 2 unknown. I believe two before the DMAS update. 3. no idea. Doubtful 4. The phantom don't have a hud. your direction is seen on the nav computer. The phantom only have a simple gunsight similar to the one on the F-5

Highly doubt we get it tomorrow unless they pull a sneaky one on us. I mean I would cream myself if it happens but taking into account what happened the last year a delay is expected.

We can of course speculate and of course hope that ED have given the December release to the F-4 instead of the F-15. But on the other hand it is confirmed that the F-15 is in being tested by ED so it is inbound for release soon. The F-4 is being kept under a tight lid, but who knows maybe all the testers have been sworn into secrecy. But even though how much I love to speculate and hope I highly doubt that we won't see the F-4 until Q1 23. If it is not out by Q2, I will be genuinely disappointed

There are ways around that with some creative mission editing or using the skynet script but yeah it should be part of the standard AI

I believe the shrike had a hit rate of like 25 % so if you load up with four you should be able to hit at least once

I heard that it was two employees living in ukraine doing the 3D modeling and such and that combined with another one having some personal problems causing essentially a modeling bottleneck.

Practically every country is getting shafted these days but I will pre-purchase the F-4 discount or not (I need my escapism). Sure hope that the pre-orders open soon as that is at least a sign of an pending release

I am pretty sure we will find out one way or another in four weeks whether we get it this year or not. One thing I am 90% certain of, it's that we will get some sort of statement or news sometime the next three weeks before the holidays starts. A part of me wishes that we get it after the new year because if we get it before the holidays it's gonna ruin my social life this Christmas.
