Hi I have tried all options. I start uMFCD then if I use the updater icon the updater works then as soon as it tries to use DCS.exe i get the access violation message. to me it looks like dcs tries to start, then uMFCD asks for info, then MS says you dont have permission,, uMFCD crashes or hangs..if I then restart DCS it starts as uMFCD is not asking anymore, If I restart uMFCD then DCS it repeats access violation. If I start DCS then try to start uMFCD as soon as uMFCD asks for info DCS crashes. ready to try any suggestions (well almost, heads & ovens are a no go)

ok I have reinstalled DCS to a folder outside programs, unfortunately no change dcs will not start first time with umfcd running but starts and runs 2nd time but umfcd dosn't see it, if I restart umfcd it crashes dcs.

I am reinstalling DCS to another folder to try it. it is wierd that if umfcd is not running dcs loads and runs fine.

1= yes 2= AVG free 3= no difference tried it 4= yes and I have changed permissions to all 5= I don't have 1.2.6 but it was working when I had it

Let me try and explain, If i start umfcd it runs waiting for dcs, then start DCS and access error message pops up if I then click through it, I get the log if I close that I can start DCS and it works ..BUT umfcd is still looking for dcs. I get no exports. DCS works fine first time without umfcd. BUT if I then start umfcd it crashes DCS. I am using your latest DL and same thing.

I Believe It is MS power saving, It is the same reason the saitek MFD surrounds flash on and off until you change the registry. If you wish too do this you will need the device number should look like - HID\VID_1DD2&PID_1001&REV_0123 then goto regedit and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/ SYSTEM/ CurrentControlSet/ Enum/ USB. Find your VID number click on it and then on the number, SINGLE CLICK Device Parameters. In the right hand window RIGHT CLICK Enhanced Power and select MODIFy then CHANGE VALUE TO 0 and close regedit. ALWAYS MAKE A COPY OF THE REGISTRY AND DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE.

What version of DCS ?. DCS 2 has only NTTR map so cannot run campaigns from DCS 1.X.

Going back to the settings try turning aero back on. And test.

Great news my 5 panels work great in DCS2, I have a radio stack am.fm & uhf, fuel pane with gear switch plus red/green leds t/o trim with led. A weapon panel + Electrics + aux panel. lighting panel. And a panel with CMSP, Tacan & Ils using 1 4x20 lcd. And a CDU button panel. All works fine.

I have a HD 7970 6GB and it runs a lot smoother with this update, good frame rates and a lot less stutter.

Ok I unticked forcefedback in 1.2 and no change I then tried to start 1.5 beta again and this time it went to start screen and asked for my login did that and it worked. went back to 1.2 and tried again and it works also. My conclusion is that FFB set was blocking beta from start so could not enter login to allow 1.2 to go into cockpit, I guess it is because of the combined GUI bit on beta. thanks for your help hope Mattski gets his fixed he only has 1.2 I think.

I am afraid you will find the beta is the same or at least mine is since the latest little update 1.2 nor 1.5 will work, 1.2 loads the first bit then when going to cockpit it crashes as you describe, With 1.5 it won't even start at all.

I can't even start the program, tried normal and beta, Beta won't do anything, Normal starts but won't go into aircraft. not tried Multiplayer.

why did you not use a Gameport to usb converter just plug and play, Had one for my simpeds for years.
