  1. For me in VR the FPS never drops below 36 (I believe that's still per eye in DCS land), but the frame counter stops dead often then resumes. I'm running a 13900KF/RTX 4090/64 GB RAM to a Quest 2.
  2. Def not just you. There's another thread on the subject.
  3. Threshold/overrun/underrun are not runup areas. It's legal and common practice to use the approach end threshold for takeoff run. That's an extra 500-1000 feet of takeoff roll in some places. The purpose of displaced threshold is obstacle avoidance on precision approaches to minimums and remaining on glideslope to touchdown in the landing zone (between the Captain's Bars).
  4. Concur. Jester should be verbalizing through all his checklist steps so the pilot has SA.
  5. Concur. Constant opening and closing of the Jester wheel during preflight is a workflow killer.
  6. I have seen this as well. Cockpit elements are very dark but can suddenly be washed out and blindingly bright.
  7. You're thanking him for doing his job. The offset only provides left/right adjustment. It doesn't help with the UI being buried behind the instrument panel.
  8. Should NOT have to use modifiers to access basic essential functionality.
  9. Yes it’s pretty bad right now. In my Quest 2 the contextual interface might as well not exist.
  10. Boresight does not coincide with the reticle, which changes position with mode and mil settings. It’s only a mechanical alignment to the Fuselage Reference Line. It does not compensate for bullet drop or flight path. Fix the PEBKAC issue.
  11. Please explain in detail how to remedy the VR issues of the bottom of the Jester wheel and the entire contextual menu except for the top line of dialog. Don’t just tell people the solution exists, tell them how to use it.
  12. Likely performing accurately. IRL gun pods of this type and era were wildly inaccurate and used mainly as area weapons fir strafing large swaths of ground, for example prepping HLZ’s ahead of heli born assaults.
  13. IFR is just a task, and it doesn't make an aircraft more difficult to fly. All it does is show you how poorly you were flying the aircraft before you started your hood training and the tolerances for sloppy flying dropped to about 1/10th. That is from real life experience as well.
  14. Yeah that's the Stability Augmentation System (SAS). The helicopter is very difficult to fly without the SAS channels on. https://aviation-assets.info/wp-content/uploads/tm1-1520-237-10-operators-manual-for-uh-60al.pdf In fact, in section 9-29 you can see that while failure of the SAS individually is not a LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE emergency, failures of associated equipment (particularly FPS) are not compatible with mission success. Once, back in '06 at Ft. Bragg when I was training a Shadow platoon, someone said that the Blackhawk is the helicopter for helicopter pilots who suck at flying helicopters. 18 years later I'm still laughing at that line.
  15. Interesting. In my limited helicopter sim experience, a locked tail wheel (and shyte technique) causes me a lot of ... not really dynamic rollovers, but unintentional reverse-wheelbarrow rolling action that I have to full-armpit abort out of to fix. I'll work on it. Thanks!
  16. Make sure your tailwheel is unlocked as well. People don't think it's important but it is.
  17. How? The bug report isn't for you.
  18. Asked on Discord. I'll ask here as well Good morning (here). Not sure if I have an issue or not. Was flying the UH60L on Grayflag yesterday and the little dot on the SRS no longer follows the XMIT select knob in cockpit. Is this just me or is there a larger issue? And what would be the fix if known? I believe this has been since the last few DCS updates.
  19. Not 2.9 related it's been going on for a month or so Spawn in multiplayer Grayflag servers, Teddy or Zippo aircraft acts like it's getting bumped and jostled plane captains give the Hey what are you doing because there's enough movement during reloading. aircraft actually gets hit hard enough to collapse gear into deck engine blew up while taxiing, something hit the airplane and damaged elevator and wing another instance the aircraft got knock out of chocks 100% reproducible. Track file is to big to post because this forum is older than dirt and I'm got gonna do the leg work of file servers and links and all that crap.
  20. You should add an inspirational quote to your signature block about taking initiative, then start a livery thread and contribute to it, instead of complaining about the fact that someone else hasn't done something you see the need for.
  21. Pinnacle ops would be more impressive if it weren't for the fact that it's a task that every Chinook pilot has to do in order to call themselves a Chinook pilot.
  22. What do you mean I can't pay with Marlboro Miles and Camel Cash from 1996? How dare you!
  23. Surprisingly, the actual UH-60L TM doesn't have a table of audible alerts, their causes, and operator actions.
  24. Is there a text list of what the audio warning system says? I have the directions figured out, and I think “ fixed wing” and “tracking” but I’m not sure about the rest. For instance, something that sounds like “power de hosas” constantly. thanks
  25. Are you done?
