Yes and I believe @uboats has fixed this internally, so hopefully next patch... Also I don't think you can remove the engine covers in cold start, same bug with wind in missions...someone correct me if I'm wrong.

That's why I'm wondering if it's a certain type of missile fired from a certain type of jet that causes the crash when it hits the JF-17. Because not every missile that hits me makes me crash, but it's happening enough that it's super frustrating. I can't understand exactly what's going on in this log but I think it's pointing to something with either decoys (chaff/flare?), or the missile, or...something. Lots of WeaponBlocks/WeaponsBase/Weapons lines...also if it helps @uboats I'm pretty sure I was dumping chaff and flares while evading. Lasers should NEVER fire as soon as an LGB (or JDAM) is released. It only needs to fire in terminal guidance. In fact, lasing the whole time decreases accuracy of LGBs...this has been proven IRL and I can't imagine the real Jeff is setup to fire a laser the moment one of these bombs are released. That makes no sense and is detrimental to accuracy. The laser isn't lasing long enough because aircraft lasers are designed to shut off after a short time, to prevent overheating and damage/destruction of the laser. That's another reason - besides the worsened accuracy - that lasers aren't fired immediately and ran until their maximum cut-off time, upon dropping a guided laser bomb.

It never used to happen on the GS server though...and it doesn't seem like a script heavy server? I like to fly there when I'm limited on time and just get some Jeff action in so it'd be nice if we could figure this out either way lol -

Causes DCS to crash for me at the end when I watch it too. It's the second shoot down where the game crashes. There's a bit of a delay at the beginning before I take off (badly ) because I'm changing a few controls around. Edit: I see you asked for SP, if you could point me to a custom mission I could use to try to quickly reproduce it, I could try. But I don't even know which aircraft or missile etc (if it even matters) is causing me to crash out in the first place...I don't have TacView to watch the track file replay -

I watched the track file replay again (and game crashed again ). I had probably one - maybe two - SD-10 in the air. But they were no longer guided by Jeff radar, because I broke lock to go defensive. I don't have TacView so I can't be sure how many SD-10 were still flying when I got hit, but they were definitely using their own tracking when I died. -

I have been having issues with my game crashing when I get struck by an enemy missile. It even crashes at the exact same spot when I watch the track file replay (see screenshot, where I watched missile hit me and game instantly crashed). This has been happening with the JF-17 in multiplayer. Not every missile that hits me makes the game crash. In this flyout, I have already died once to a missile and respawned. It was the second death from a missile where I crashed. I had this crash bug here and there in 2.7, but it seems to be happening A LOT more in 2.8...and it makes playing online incredibly frustrating. I don't know if this is a JF-17 bug, a core DCS bug, or even a bug due to a different module/weapon...but it never used to happen and it's gotten progressively worse, and now it happens frequently. Have been trying to fight on Growling Sidewinder with the JF-17, and am getting lots of crashes - it ALWAYS happens when there is an incoming missile. EVERY. TIME. That can't be a coincidence. Understand: not all missiles shot at me are making the game crash, but every time I've crashed, is when a missile is chasing me - or possibly hitting me. Recent log attached. I've deleted all mods, ran Steam verify on DCS, and the issue is still happening. This is on Open Beta 2.8. I had a few similar DCS crashes on OB 2.7, but it's happening much more now. EDIT/Update: Even watching the track file replay, my game crashes at the same point, and it's when I'm being hit by a missile. I took a screenshot from the replay in 3rd person, and as soon as the missile hits me, the game crashes. This was my second spawn, the first missile that killed me did not make the game crash, but this one did. It could have been a different missile/jet that shot me of course. dcs.log

I would really appreciate a high quality cockpit option WITHOUT the baked in reflections on MFDs and cockpit glass etc, they are super annoying... It is really quite nonsense that even with my stick turned off in the cockpit I still have a fake stick reflection in the middle MFD. Even if I did show the stick it is still ugly because the reflection doesn't move with the stick. I appreciate the detail that the art people went to, but we deserve a cockpit option to turn these baked reflections off, to me they are distracting and fake.

Updated: move LS-6/GB-6 loadout selection from missile menu to bomb menu Does this change mean that the glide munitions will no longer be shot down by SAMs? Or at least as easily. Would be a welcome change if so.

I'd like to see much less, or preferably no smoke trail if this issue has indeed been fixed even going back to Block 1. How about it, uboats? Let us actually be able to sneak up on those pesky F/A-18s and such.

Looking at the briefing page and log, I seemed to have a whole bunch of system failures occur all at the same time, maybe halfway through the flight. Starting with all sorts of DTC failures. Lol. Never got any warning lights on my panel, not sure why this has happened. I didn't take any hits or damage and as far as I can tell I flew the jet within its limits. I do NOT have "random system failures" turned on in the options menu...I DO however have "testing feature" enabled in the JF-17 Special menu; have some changes happened behind the scenes here? What does this option do? I will turn it off and test again later but I have always had it enabled with no issue. Also I wonder if the issue is related to Hot Start. I can run some tests on cold start later too and see if the issue persists there. Log: debriefing.log

One of the latest patches seems to have broken the function for updating the data cartridge after flying a sortie, landing, and rearming. This has happened to me almost every time I've played a multiplayer match (not sure about SP) for the past few weeks, before which I took a break of about a month from DCS. I have attached a track file from Growling Sidewinder server where I fly a sortie: Take off with 4x SD-10, 2x PL-5, 2x 800L tanks, and Jammer pod. Shoot off 4 missiles, dropping tanks at one point, fly back to base, and land. Taxi out of the way of runway traffic. Open the cockpit. Rearm and refuel. Unplug DTC. Request to update DTC. Updated, now plug in DTC. Click "ALL" on DTC page, and try to click ENTER but it does nothing. Try to eject cartridge, and cartridge is now stuck in the tape slot. Wtf lol. I can't even eject the cartridge. I can reproduce this almost 100% of the time and it's game breaking for multiplayer.
