  1. I have (2) program folders on my C: drive...one is titled Program Files (where the entire DCS program is located), and Program Files (x86). I believe the 32 bit DCS has a 3.#mb exe, and the 64 bit is 5-something mb. There is no trace of the dcs a-10c in the program files (x86) folder
  2. 64 bit it is...maybe just a coding issue with your cloud textures? Or...maybe the older nvidia 8xxx-9xxx series just don't have the memory capabilities. I am running an overclocked 4.05ghz intel quad core
  3. I DO have the 5.71mb exe file, and I believe it is running 64 bit. today I updated to the latest nvidia drivers and directx 9.0c june 2010 sdk.
  4. I did what you said, lowered the textures from high to medium, AA to 4 instead of 8, left hdr on etc...and I narrowed it down. i can leave everything on medium-high, hdr on, when i lower textures to medium the dark rectangles are replaced by beautifully drawn clouds. the dark rectangles also result in a massive fps hit. as a reminder, I have to nvidia 9800GTX+ 1 gb video cards dcs.zip
  5. Nate, I'm not sure if this means anything, but DCS A-10C installed in my win 32 programs folder, not the programs 86x folder
  6. dcs.log dcs.zip
  7. Nate, when I try to attache the dcs.log file, I get a message that it is an invalid file
  8. Here is the dxdiag.txt BTW, I edited the unguided weapons training mision by clearing the weather. the result was no dark transparent rectangles in the sky. I have medium setting with HDR and high textures and get 33-45 fps, even close to the ground DxDiag.txt
  9. I am currently using XP PRO 64-bit
  10. Hey guys, I have the same issue...latest directx 9.0c and nvidia drivers with...a 9800GTX+ 1GB (running SLI).
  11. I know everyone here loves Windows 7 64-bit, but you are destined to get more Frames-per-second (FPS) on XP 64-bit than any other operating system. Thats what I run, it only eats up 350MB RAM of my 4GB.
  12. pc config I have a Q9650 quad core at 3.6GHZ, 8 Gigs of 1000mhz DDR2 RAM, (2X) 9800GTX + (1GB each) running in SLI, Windows XP 64-bit, Directx 9.0C, current nvidia drivers . Should I get favorable FPS performance?
  13. my rig I have a Q9650 quad core at 3.6GHZ, 8 Gigs of 1000mhz DDR2 RAM, (2X) 9800GTX + (1GB each) running in SLI, Windows XP 64-bit, Directx 9.0C, current nvidia drivers . Should I get favorable FPS performance on max? settings?
