  1. I'm trying to manually reset the refresh rate to 59hz via a nvidia control panel...it's not working. Thoughts?
  2. Thanks guys, I will give it a try.
  3. SSD benefits are huge. I run everything on one SSD. I'm going to research the SLI issue. If it's a problem unknown to DCS users, I might need to reach out to Nvidia.
  4. It's got to be related to 4K/ SLI. Like I said, I disabled SLI; the problem I described did not occur with single card mode. Is there extra steps one must take to get SLI working properly in DCS?
  5. I'm not too convinced it is related. So I disabled SLI and the issue was not recreated. I'm guessing it's either a known SLI problem, or something related to the relatively new titan x's in SLI. Anyone have a take on possible SLI issues regarding my initial FPS issue?
  6. Not really sure where to begin on this one. Just went from a Nvidia 980 GTX 1080P to an Acer G-SYNC monitor (4K) with Two Titan X's in SLI configuration. G-SYNC is enabled via Nvidia control panel, V-sync disabled in-game menu. Picture quality is amazing, performance stunning. Definitely noticable the difference between 1080P and 4K. He is the problem: So my refresh rate is 60. In game I get a steady 60 frames per second...and it looks ultra smooth with no stutters or tearing. So at certain times when there are miscellaneous graphics effects, i.e. 30 mm cannon impacts on the ground, certain shadows, and even dispensing flares, my frame rates instantly drop to a steady 30fps, and remain there even after the effects are no longer in play. I'm not sure if it is merely coincidental that this drop in fps equates to 1/2 my monitors refresh rate. Thoughts on this? Is this a known issue? Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Thank you for your input.
  7. First off, this is the most photo real cockpit of any simulator ive ever seen. secondly, will this be a fully interactive, clickable cockpit with all systems modelled?
  8. Brony Hawgs. I think I've seen it all...

  10. Razorback, google he mod, here in the forums there is a discussion thread. I had the same problem as you, and a few pages into the thread I found a zip file available from a user who corrected the mod so only the left and right screens were tinted.
  11. What all steps are required to get this mod to work in the fashion of the images provided? I mean the NVG monocle? I have 1.2.7 and have installed exactly to the instructions, however when I turn on NVGs via Rshift + h, I only see the default NVGs. Thanks for your help!!!
  12. I'm having some confusion as to the proper edit for the recompiled effects in the graphics.cfg. I know it is supposed to be like this: Before: //mode = "USE_PRECOMPILED_EFFECTS_FOR_UNCHANGED_FILES"; mode = "USE_PRECOMPILED_EFFECTS_ONLY"; After: mode = "USE_PRECOMPILED_EFFECTS_FOR_UNCHANGED_FILES"; //mode = "USE_PRECOMPILED_EFFECTS_ONLY"; However (1.2.7), mine looks like this when I open it: recompiledEffects = { mode = "USE_PRECOMPILED_EFFECTS_FOR_UNCHANGED_FILES"; --mode = "USE_PRECOMPILED_EFFECTS_ONLY"; } So what do I do?
  13. Does the main texture mod include the same trees as the stand alone tree download? thanks
  14. Please excuse my ignorance, but can someone please provide a step by step instruction on installing? Keep in mind I have a Nvidia card with Win7 64. Thank you so much!!!! I have attemped to simply place the SweetFX file in my bin folder, then when I press scroll I see no differences. my log read this: [23:32:25] Redirecting CreateDevice : successful (width: 1920, height: 1080) [23:32:25] Failed to load 'C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\SweetFX\Shaders\FXAA_DX9.fx'... Are you sure the file is at the right location ? The referenced FXAA_DX9.fx was in the referenced folder
  15. Sweetfx How does one ensure correct installation of sweetfx, and verify if it is on and working?
  16. Can someone provide a link to the updated download for this mod? Thanks!!!
  17. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the 1.2.7 Openbeta installed parallel to 1.2.6 is now the new 1.2.7??
  18. Thanks for all the hard work Ricardo! It looks amazing! The most HD cockpit of any fighter simulation I have ever seen!
  19. Thank you Ricardo!
  20. It's 9:15PM Pacific time here in California, I'm heading to sleep, hopefully it will be up in the morning. Cheers!
  21. Take your time Ricardo, good things come to those who wait.
  22. This weathered cockpit will definitely add to the immersion factor, I can't wait!

    DCS sucks

lol, I read your previous post and you have nothing nice to say about ED. All doom and gloom. Interesting enough, I find this to be the most graphically complete combat simulation ever. It blows all competitors completely out of the water. I have a mid-range system and get an average of 55-60 fps under all conditions. Gameplay is amazing, and combined with teamspeak and some creative mission design, could provide for hours of fun. If you are having issues with the game, it is probably your system, not the designers. When I had windows XP 64 bit, I could not play this game for anything. Upgraded to windows 7 64 bit, got some good graphics cards, made sure ALL drivers were up to date, and have no issues. This simulator has the smoothest graphics engine of any combat flight simulation I have ever played. What are your system stats?
  24. I love this cockpit! Are we in the release imminent countdown? ;-)
