  1. Hi, Not sure if this is an issue with my installation or if it's a game bug but thought I'd post it here in case it helps identify something. Was hooking up to the cat on CVN-71 and the game just quit - no freeze / pause, it was as if I'd pressed ALT-F4. Edit: was in the F18 and was using a livery downloaded from the DCS website, in case that's helpful. Cheers dcs.log
  2. Have encountered this very same issue. I posted something similar in the bugs forum a while back and @Lord Vader said they were working on some TGP updates
  3. I’m thinking by Christmas 2025. Hoping so anyway as plan to keep my current pc setup until then and upgrade in 2025 in order to fly the Eurofighter to the fullest!
  4. After seeing the quality of the F4 in the screenshots released this weekend, I am so incredibly excited for the Typhoon. My dream module ..
  5. I also had this issue recently, I fixed it by running a repair
  6. OK, so if anyone is experiencing the Maverick losing its crosshairs issue, I spent a couple of hours trying to fix it and ultimately what did it was performing a repair. Went back into the game and tried again and the crosshairs were back Obviously the repair didn't fix the TGP snowplow issue!
  7. Hi, I haven't flown the F16 for a couple of months now, but I now can't seem to boresight the Mavericks. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, so I've attached a track file where I've shown my steps fairly slowly and deliberately. 1) The TGP won't snowplow. I've seen this mentioned elsewhere on the forum but the fact it doesn't look straight out in front of the plane now makes things annoyingly cumbersome. So I set a mark point out near the front of the plane for the TGP to look at. Surely this is a bug? 2) Then once I've got the TGP looking at something, the crosshairs on the Maverick seem to have disappeared and have been replaced by 2 horizontal lines and a cross. I'm sure they didn't used to look like this, and cross-checking against some videos on YouTube suggests the same. Have I done something wrong in either of these steps? Or are they bugs? Thanks F16_TGP.trk
  8. I think (I’m not at PC right now so can’t check) you need to have a weapon selected in order for it to work. Try it - I might be wrong!
  9. Nice - just tried and was 1 minute for me. Feels faster than before but could just be me hoping! Edit: I forgot I had deleted fxo and meta shaders folders before loading up the new beta build so there was no doubt time spent reinstalling those files. Tried again and it was down to 35 seconds. Definitely faster than previously!
  10. Very thankful for the large list of F15E bug fixes
  11. Would be good to know if this is the intended operation. I can’t imagine it is - feels clunky not to have the steer points cycle back to 1 like most other aircraft.
  12. I have to say, the reason I have trialled the F-14 a couple of times but not purchased is due to Jester; not just the silly lines but I find the hum of the intercom a bit overpowering. Otherwise love it.
  13. Fair. However check out the tracks I provided - 600 knots in the viper, no change to roll rate. Same in the F18 and it’s dangerously slow. Would love ED to look and comment.
  14. I see what you’re saying, but rolling around the axis should only be 1g so not sure why the g-limiter should be making any adjustments. Also, there shouldn’t be additional (significant) wing loading / g-forces as speed increases such as to reduce the roll rate to the extent that it does?
  15. Hi At times I've found the F18 to be sluggish when rolling. Today I played around with it and found that approx. the 400-500 knot range is the sweet spot for F18 roll rate. Below 400 the jet becomes sluggish to roll and above 600 it's very slow. The F16 on the other hand does not exhibit this behaviour - it just continues rolling at the same rate from 350 to 600+. Is this realistic? Presumably one of them is incorrect, and I'm hoping it's the F18. Surely roll rate is unaffected by forward speed. Here are 2 tracks. Exact same mission in mission editor, both clean aircraft. F16 and F18, rolling as speed increases. Both full stick to the left (from memory I went left, but whichever way it was - was full stick). You can see that the F18 when up around 600 knots barely wants to roll. F16_rolling_test.trk F18_rolling_test.trk
