  1. Looking forward to flying this in game. Spent a week poking around these when I was in my teens in the RAAF Air Cadets. Fantastic.
  2. I’m overseas at the moment so can’t test but I note there was a reshade update this week to 6.1 - has anyone tried with VR DCS?

    Tornado

I’ve just seen a preview of IndiaFoxEcho’s Tornado for another flight sim of the non-combat variety, and …..WOW! I know you guys helped Heatblur port the F14 over to aforementioned sim, is there any chance the Tornado might go the other way and come to DCS? I probably shouldn’t link the YouTube video but it’s easily searchable - go check it out!
  4. Thank you for the link, @Madpie - looks like a fun and interesting read!
  5. I really like what you’re doing here and hope you don’t mind me asking - you mention in an earlier post being able to determine dimensions of the various cockpit panels using the model viewer. May I ask how you do that? I’d like to recreate some Hornet panels but not sure where to start when it comes to dimensions.
  6. I might stand corrected. Rainmaker hasn’t posted in the bugs section since January, who else is there that responds? There are so many bugs in the bugs section that just go unacknowledged (and subsequently not fixed) which obviously has the effect of leaving some of us wondering what the plan is to fix them, and when.
  7. This is a great list, a lot of effort has gone into it. I’d love to see the LITENING pod come sooner rather than later. I’ve given up on the F15E for now as the Lantirn is just not enjoyable enough (for me). Way too difficult to find targets, the ground stabilisation is poor, etc. The question I’d actually like answered is - does anyone from RAZBAM actually read this forum? I see suggestions on their discord about a dedicated section for bug tracking which baffles me as there are so many bugs reported here and very little to no response other than the odd post by Rainmaker who I believe is a contributing SME and not a RAZBAM team member.
  8. I fully support this request! F15E would be amazing with this feature enabled. Sorry for the thread hijack…I managed to get developer mode working on my quest 3 today so I can see my hands moving around and my fingers wiggling but can’t for the life of me manage to actually push buttons on the f18 cockpit like how you are in your video. Any chance you can share a screenshot of your VR settings tab within the in-game options menu?
  9. This is a great find, thanks for sharing! I’ve ordered the parts and will see if I can make one too as, while point ctrl looks great, I don’t have the patience to sit in a queue for that long.
  10. I’ve got a 3060ti and I get poor results by running terrain and other textures on high. Try reducing textures to medium or low then see how it is and work back up from there. Your GPU may just not have enough VRAM which is why perhaps the first time you run the mission it’s fine then subsequently not good as the VRAM hasn’t been ‘cleared’. I’m not a computer guy but read about many similar issues which led me to reducing my textures to where they are now and while it doesn’t look as good, it plays much better now than it did
  11. Yeah, I’ve been getting issues recently too. Sometimes when I try to connect my quest 3 to the PC using air link I get an error message saying the connection has been lost (or similar). I keep trying and it finally works. Alternatively, I’ve had no connection issue using Virtual Desktop so that’s now my trouble free go-to.
  12. The F18 is my favourite jet and this FM update just reaffirms that. Feels more lively. Thanks ED, great work
  13. Some people like them and some people don’t, I think an option in the settings to turn them on/off would be great. Then we all win
  14. Actually, in the F15E I wish I could turn off the MFD fingerprints!
  15. I found the same thing
  16. Sorry I forgot to come back to this thread, but also don’t want to derail yours so here’s some quick info for those with freezing headset. After a lot of research (and yes after following all the VD suggestions including a dedicated wifi 6 router) I found that my major issue was related to VRAM overflow and so needed to reduce my textures from high to medium. VD and quest link seem to deal with it differently; VD just freezes whereas quest link stutters horrendously. But anyway I’m back to VD now with no freezing
  17. Try setting Textures to medium and in VD put graphics also to medium. See if that helps. If no freezing then you can incrementally work back up
  18. I run with MSAA at 2x because as much as I want to use DLSS / DLAA I find that everything is just way too out of focus somehow. Just not sharp This is with a Quest 3 and a 3060Ti
  19. I was having this issue also. If you haven't already, try setting "Textures" to Medium and "Terrain Textures" to Low and see if that helps.
  20. Same for me with Quest 3 and VD. Headset can freeze up after only minutes of game play especially if in F15E, monitor still shows the headset moving around so who knows. Switched to using air link and don’t have any dramas. I asked on the VD discord but was fairly fruitless.
  21. Thanks, still couldn’t get it to work unfortunately - hangar still there in VR - but I appreciate you guys taking the time to respond.
  22. So it sounds like we could be getting the sniper pod this year! Very excited to see what extra functionality / picture quality this will bring. Would be fantastic if we could get a little preview from ED on what we could expect from the pod?
  23. Tried ovgme, still no joy. Any help appreciated.
  24. Also tried it, didn’t work for me either
