  1. Just found this amazing mod and tried it today - it's breathed a breath of fresh air into the Hornet, fantastic job by the devs, thanks!
  2. I really, really, want to buy this map. But, I pre-ordered Afghanistan and it's been such an underwhelming purchase that I don't fly it that much - there was the promise of 3-monthly releases and that hasn't happened, there have been no updates (yes I know, I saw in the newsletter that something's "coming"). And to be honest there's been so much drama in the last 12 months with DCS that I'm a bit put off. So, I think I'll sit on this and wait to see how it pans out.
  3. Thanks @Qcumber @Phantom711 - legends! I disabled OXRTK via the check mark, didn't load Oculus Tray Tool and enabled QFR via the tick box in DCS VR settings and I'm back to 50 fps!
  4. Just installed the new patch. Deleted fxo and meta shaders as per usual. Followed my exact same sequence of loading OpenXR toolkit, Oculus Tray Tool and Virtual Desktop. Loaded the game and went to my benchmark single player mission. With nothing changing, only the patch, my FPS has dropped from 50 to 23-25 with occasional stutters / drops down to about 8. Anyone else experienced this? Any possible fixes? Bearing in mind I've changed nothing, only updated the patch. This was all in the F16 on a very modest 5800x3d with 3060ti, 32GB RAM (but - was getting 50 fps before patch).
  5. This is fantastic! Thank you very much for sharing
  6. Refunded it and got the F4E instead. As much as I loved the F15E, I don't get a lot of time to play DCS so would rather put my money to work. No regrets at all. If the issue ever gets resolved I'll reconsider buying it again at that point.
  7. Fantastic job! I followed a few Hornets Nest guides too but you seem to be learning far quicker than me
  8. Thanks guys, much appreciated. I ended up doing as you suggested @Maddaawg and copying the file directly into the demoscenes folder and that fixed it! Now to look into OMM and see if I can transport all my mods across to that. Thanks again
  9. Wondering if anyone can help - I've tried installing the VR no hangar mod found on the DCS user files via OvGME, have set it to install in the main directory, have also tried the saved games directory and also tried both at the same time, but cannot for the life of me get it to work. See attached. Are there any tricks to this? Am I doing something wrong? I'm on a Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop. The mod in question: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3336353/
  10. Sure, of course. I just followed Bogey Dope's settings that he demonstrates in this video and basically followed them to the tee. As a side note, I tried completely uninstalling Reshade using Skatezilla's tool (complete clean and repair) to see what the FPS impact was - it is between 3 and 5 fps (for me). Worth it!
  11. Finally had the opportunity to try this out last night - it really does change the VR experience so thanks to all that persevered to get this working and that provided assistance to others. One thing I noticed is that I can only get the Reshade “Home” menu to appear when on the DCS ‘dashboard’ page ie the main page you see when you log in. So I make changes there and then load into missions. It seems that toggling the effects on and off doesn’t work once in a mission but that’s fine!
  12. Great build, thanks for sharing, have also been following along on IG. Can I ask - when you drew the panels up in Corel Draw, how did you do that in order to get them as accurate as you could? Did you use the DCS Model Viewer and then import screenshots into Corel Draw?
  13. The thread that was linked was from March 2022, so I would presume - no
  14. I know this is potentially a really stupid question, but how does one do this? Are you keeping your headset on and alt-tabbing to the desktop? And, you've probably also mentioned but I couldn't see - what headset are you using? Thank you for all your great work on this, it's hugely appreciated! Can't wait to get home in 2 weeks to try it all out.
  15. Thanks! Sadly I’m overseas for the next 2 weeks so no access to my DCS PC to test. Did you install any addons as well or did you literally just click ‘install with full admin support’ and that was it? eg the add on that has been mentioned here, the vr toolkit
  16. This would be much appreciated!
  17. Could we hope for some Eurofighter news this year now that the (excellent) F4E has been released?
  18. It’s a real shame. DCS with reshade in VR would almost be a whole new experience
  19. I don’t think anyone has managed to get it to work yet
  20. The PC-21 in said flight sim is also worth a look
  21. MUCH better than the stock sounds, well done!
  22. Same - would absolutely pay for a Hornet cockpit v2.0 refresh! Good work on your textures by the way, they look nice. But yeah a more photorealistic look like the upcoming F4E would be amazing.
  23. I had a similar-ish issue. I haven't had issues on the ED store previously. For Afghanistan, I pre-ordered the full map, went to payment and put my credit card details in, typed in the bank's OTP and then "payment failed". Tried again a few minutes later with all the exact same details and it worked. Who knows! But either way, I'm really looking forward to this map
