  2. I noticed last night that the Jettenbach Quarry north of Ramstein Airbase is missing. It's used as a VRP for northbound departures.
  3. Personally, I'm suuper happy with the map, however there are some points In ouod like to see refinements/improvements applied to: - SAM site infrastructure: there are 40 in total, but there are only 4 different templates as far as I can tell, which have been placed in the historically accurate locations (HAWK, PATRIOT, SA-3 and SA-5(I think that's it, please correct me if I'm wrong)). I'd have appreciated some NIKE SAM site infrastructure as well even though we do not yet have a NIKE SAM itself (same with the SA-4 which was all over the place in the East). - Historical Airfield charts and approach/departure documentation is completely missing. I think it is very important to provide these for a map that is not set in the present or recent history, or at least provide sources where one could get these from. - Shelter types used in East and West Germany looked different, yet on the map there are shelters that are both on the east and west side of the iron curtain (example: Pferdsfeld) - Some of the terrain can look like it's stitched together with very differing levels of fidelity. Farmlands that look very very nice are bordering others that are just the satellite image with a normal map overlay. I have no doubt this will be improved upon in the future, however at the moment it can look a little distracting in low level flight. All in all though, fantastic map and very much worth the purchase. I'd rate it.
  4. It would be very very cool to have the Trall fly around our supplies rather than the crusty C-130s or a bootleg repainted An-26 ^^
  5. We need it. If you are doing an asset pack, @MAESTR0, please consider this legendary workhorse of the Luftwaffe's logistical chain. Only as an AI controlled aircraft of course.
  6. Anyone else experiencing very weird pathfinding decision by ground units when set to "On Road" and moving on the Autobahn? Specifically this is happening in my mission along the A4 and A64 near Bad Hersfeld, Alsfeld and Fulda.
  7. Does anyone have photos of HOW exactly the different Systems would be placed around the two different types of compounds? I have yet to figure out where exactly to place the Patriot in one of these since there are two elevated platforms for both the HAWK site compound and the Patriot one. The Patriot only has one S/TR Radar and the HAWK has three different types of radars. The HAWK template even comes with two tracking radars. For now, since there are so many HAWK sites, I reduced them all to one TR each. Would be interesting to know how exactly this was supposed to be set up. Same with the soviet sites. Usually they come with a mobile EWR. Which one would be placed on TOP of the revetment? The Search or the TR? (I assumed the TR if it was not a mobile system like SA-4 or SA-6).
  8. I took a look. Currently trying to work out if I can port over the Cold War IADS project to a miz file without manually marking down all the sites myself. It should be possible but it probably requires a little more fenagling at the moment.
  9. I like that you were specific about it being a collectivized farm, comrade
  10. Any way we'd be able to port this into the DCS map as IP points?
  11. Yeah would be cool to have a miz file with them all marked and identified by type
  12. Yeah but that's just the problem. They were marching in from Tbilisi. We had strike flights hit some bridges and then they divert to get to that field where they were supposed to unfold from their march formation. Anyway I have found a more elegant solution since then so it's all good. Thanks for the tip though!
  13. Iain was totally my inspiration for getting into the cold war scenario creation in DCS. I would love to see some satellite imagery of soviet FARP or command post structures. I have been looking around everywhere but never seen anything that breaks down in a concise manner, let alone illustrated properly.
  14. I have made a MP campaign before simulating this exact type of encounter on the Caucasus map, coming from the Tbilisi area onto the flatlands south of the Caucasus going west. Safe to say it was very epic watching my units placed with autistic precision try to assault the outnumbered defensive positions, but boy did the red tank assault insist on falling into single file march formations after unfolding into their wedge and starting the assault...
  15. @MAESTR0 Dude Wittmund has to be in Phase 3 at least... Any chance that planned Phase 3 content is still being adjusted?
  16. Man I really need this working right now ^^
  17. Wonderful news!
  18. Unless the cover features a Wehrdienst leistender 18 Jähriger mit Schnurrbart and Kippe im Mund I'm not buying it.
  19. My concern is that the road surfaces that are actual road surfaces in DCS won't match up and that it will be bouncy as hell. Let's hope that Ugra delivers, I'm certainly hopeful they are going to.
  20. The AI is not so much my concern as the areas to turn an aircraft around off the RWY while not having to run through the grass off the side of the RWY. Pictured here
  21. Yes, this is my biggest worry, besides the fact that a lot of stuff will need to be placed by us as mission makers rather than already being part of the map like on the Vuojarvi highway strip on Kola for example.
  22. Does it? Pretty sure the FARP doesn't remove any trees. You gotta use the "remove scenery" function from the Trigger options.
  23. Can you point out any on the map here? There was no mention of any of them in the announcement posts. And yes, I'm aware you can fenagle together a decent road base, they're not quite the same as the proper Ersatzpisten which have some spots to turn around, rearm, etc.
