An update to my previous post, I have decided to contact them through PayPal, as that's how I bought it. I will let them respond. If it is not resolved to my satisfaction (them paying to ship it back to China and repairing/replacing) then I will raise a dispute. I am not going through the process of replacing wires etc, that isn't my job and I wouldn't know what I was doing and may completely void the warranty. I've followed the various troubleshooting steps outlined on here and other threads on here, and on Reddit etc, to no avail. So I'm being pre-emptive in not letting them waste my time talking for weeks and weeks through their terrible customer service. As I say, I should've done more research. My own fault.

Encountered any disconnection issues with your throttle or stick, Greg? Just curious.

Having this issue myself. Completely random. Sometimes not for days. Always comes back on after 15-20 seconds. Throttle and stick, I have the Orion 2 F16EX stick and throttle. I don't believe it's a connector issue. I think it's their firmware and/or the simapp pro software and how they interact with the PC. Their QA/QC can't be that bad that they have this many issues with seating cables........ can they??? A little frustrating for me at the mo but I can bear it, obviously the bloody thing should work without issue, especially as I've had it for only three months. But frankly, after the horror stories of dealing with their customer service, I think I'll grin and bear it. Such a shame, as they are great to use, really responsive and precise. My own fault for not doing enough due diligence though, that's on me.

@Flappie any idea why it seems to be affecting some but not others? Particularly as it can't be mod-related (for me anyway) as I don't use any.

I did a clean up and repair when the issue first appeared, wasn't any help. I assume I can just rename my save game folder after trying this, and not lose the contents of that folder?

@Flappie there's no connection, I'm afraid. I have the petrovitch buttons and the wheel brake bound to completely different buttons. They're on separate peripherals even, as I have rudder pedals and I use one of the brakes as an axis for the wheel brakes. The petrovitch controls are all mapped to a joystick (Warthog hotas).

Did a repair and clean up, still did it unfortunately. Obviously odd that it's not doing it with everyone but even so it seems like a bug to me.

Apologies if this has already been posted. There seems to be an issue in that whenever you are in the pilot seat, And you bring up the Petrovich menu and ask him to search, he will do it initially but then seemingly after a couple of searches, the sim freezes and CTD's. This has happened on the last three occasions I have flown the Hind. Different maps. I don't have any mods, currently using the Multithread open beta. also tried it on the non MT open beta, and it still happens. Anyone else experiencing this?

Will do. I managed to get around it somewhat by taxiing, and pulling infront of my element. They then all followed me and took off as normal. Strange.

I've come across this today in Mission one. When you give the thumbs up to taxi, one of your wingmen taxi's forward, turns right onto the taxiway, and just stops. Your flight lead and the other wingman just stay on the grass, without moving.

Grim Reapers are terrible, I second this. Boring content, haphazard, disjointed tutorials, and one guy with a massive ego who thinks he's the king of pilots. Avoid, IMO, there are much better people who make DCS content out there.

For me personally, a touch slower over Paris and London. Other than that, no difference in performance.

Teething problems are to be expected. Hopefully things will be fixed quickly so everyone can enjoy. They really have done a fantastic job, it's a vast improvement on the original, imo.

That's a shame I was greatly looking forward to those updated campaigns. Hopefully they'll explain why. So far the silence is a little deafening tbh. I have no problems with the map itself, unfortunately unlike some. Own both Channel and old Normandy. Bought the $9.99 update, looks absolutely fantastic.

As a small aside (and slightly off-topic) it's criminal this beast does not have a proper campaign. Or some more updated missions. I know it's not historically accurate in terms of setting but hopefully the new Normandy map will provide some impetus to someone (Reflected haha).

Out of all the Warbirds, this is the one that causes me the most headaches on takeoff haha. I've learned through (painful) trial and error that it's similar to the 109, in that it seems to need right aileron in addition to aft stick. Where it differs from the Kurfürst to me is it's unpredictability, sometimes it will veer left, sometimes not, I think possibly I am applying too much power sometimes. I try to keep it around 2800rpm on take off. My learning curve continues.

Few shots over the Channel. I like the Anton a lot, I like how unforgiving it is, and how it really forces you to think and plan ahead, particularly in a dogfight, as it's not the best (imho) at keeping it's energy up.

I am beyond excited for this. So much so, that I have very little interest in the Eagle (which is another jet I'm fond of tbh) It was my favourite jet as a child growing up during the latter part of the cold war, and remains my favourite today. Heatblur can take as long as they want with it, I have faith that it'll be brilliant.
