  1. Sadly I have only just started to learn where most of you are already well into it but I am hoping some of you might be able to help a n00b :) 1) I am watching this video (at this point) and I see Wags perform an FCS bit test: But I am not able to hold down that FCS reset button and at the same time pull up on that switch....how does one do that? 2) I tried to set my course (CSEL) as Wags did at timestamp 14.24 but there does not appear to be a numeration in the HSI's lower right corner....I can set the HSEL however 3) Was watching this video here: and saw there appears to be additional position lights that I cannot turn on...am I missing a switch? 4) When I run the "Fire and Bleed Air test" switch, if I turn off the switch after it says "Engine fire left" and then press the switch again the words come out "Engine right fire" instead of "Engine fire right". But if I press and hold the switch it comes out as "Engine fire right". Is this normal?
  2. Thank you so much BIGNEWY and ED! I was really hoping this might happen someday so I can finally put that disk away and not worry about loosing it. And thanks to erniedaoage, deleting the module and reinstalling it did the trick!
  3. I've got it working with the TPOD right now but it is very unreliable. It jerks around all over the place. I've experimented with curves but so far I have not had much luck despite getting it to work quite well with both the A-10C and the Mirage. Has anyone else got it to work functionally well? Sent from my P00A using Tapatalk
  4. This procedure allows you to fire subsequent Mavericks without the TPOD shutting down. 1. Master Arm on 2. LEFT MFD -> MENU -> STRS -> select Maverick 3. wait for Mavericks to go active, if needed 4. uncage Maverick You should now see the Maverick view from the LEFT MFD 5. Sensor Select FWD (verify the IRMV or TVMV has a 'box' around it on the HUD) 6. RIGHT MFD -> MENU -> TPOD 7. RIGHT MFD -> TDC (on) 8. RIGHT MFD -> STBY (off) You should now see the TPOD view from the RIGHT MFD At this point you can use the TDC to move both the TPOD and Maverick views. Don't forget the "TDC Action/No Action" button will accelerate the slewing. Then as you start to get into range with the Maverick begin to occasionally press the "TDC Down (Action Position)" button to initiate the Maverick Seeker Lock. Once you attain lock you can fire the missle and the TPOD should remain on and you can once again use the TDC to slew both the TPOC and the next Maverick view to the next target. Unfortunately, if you have mounted a second pair of Mavericks they are counted as a separate group so you have to go through the uncaging process with them (steps 2 to 5) before you can use them.
  5. I was expecting that this would have been the first aircraft they would have implemented it into. Its one of the two free to play aircraft and it has a very obvious place on where it could be installed. This would give entry-level players something small to try out before beginning to invest in larger modules. I was not considering I'm buying this module but if they implemented in the TF-51 I most certainly would, because this is something you would normally see in a GA aircraft and the TF-51 is a GA aircraft.
  6. Before the 2.5 merge I recall the targeting pod had some limited functionality where I could lock a target and lase it. But now I cannot control this thing at all since the move of the OpenBeta to 2.5. Is anyone else experiencing this? (yes I know this is a beta and I do expect things to not work. I just want to make sure I don't have a corrupted module)
  7. I am using a resolution of 4480x1440 and the icons that are normally seen above objects like aircraft and vehicles is very distorted.
  8. The first thing that ever got me hooked on LOMAC was seeing a video of an F-15 flying low over the Black Sea landscape and thinking how unbelievably real it looked. I went out and bought a copy that very day. I have owned every version and module (with one exception) since that point. That same feeling came over me when I saw the F/A-18 video flying low over the new Black Sea map over a decade later. :) I feel like a kid again.
  9. What about with an airstart though?
  10. I did find this on the RAZBAM facebook page: November 20 2017 But I have looked in the mission editor and I did find under "additional properties" an option for "Load AN/AVS-9 NVG case on cock" but this does not appear to set the NVG goggles already pre-mounted at mission start. You still have to wait the 4 minutes to switch it out. Is there a way to have the NVG mounted at mission start?
  11. Another thing is like to see along these same line is the animation of the HOTAS controls when they are being actuated. This would go for the Harrier and the Mirage.
  12. Yeah I am still getting this too. I typically just keep hitting the refresh button and eventually I will get a list but it can take 10-20 attempts.
  13. 1) is the sidearm inaccurate? I have fired 3 of these things at an S8 and had all of them miss. Sometimes they will suddenly veer away at the last second. Is there something I am doing wrong? Is there a specific launch speed or launch angle I should be observing? 2) CCIP bomb ripple: I am trying to set up a load of 14 Mk82's and have them drop in singles at 0.5 second interval. But it seems that regardless of the settings they all drop off at once. Thanks!
  14. Problem solved: In the upper part of the multiplayer server list there are three icons: A yellow eye, a green shield and a yellow arrow in a circle. To fix it I simply clicked the yellow eye, then clicked the yellow arrow in a circle (to refresh the list). Now I see a list regardless if the eye is turned off or on.
  15. Using ver 1.5.8.12823 I have restarted the DCS application as well as my PC with no result. I then tried the DCS ver 2.2 I also have installed and the server list comes up with no problems. Is anyone else having this issue?
  16. They have already said they are aware of it.
  17. You might recall that when the Mirage was first released it did not have all the button mapping options available that it does now. Razbam added them over time. I expect the same will occur in this case.
  18. Ah thanks! That was a bit confusing but I have confirmed its there.
  19. The following ships appear to have black spots indicating missing textures: Rezky Pyotr Velikiy (fore and aft pylons) Neustrashimy Albatros (Grisha-5) Admiral Kuznetsov (top of stack and tower)
  20. The DDG-168 Guangzhou and the FFG-538 Yantai make no sounds when firing guns (cannon or chainguns) but if I place my external camer facing right down the gun I can hear something but it seems distorted somehow, and sounds more like a blip.
  21. I no longer see it among the available US ships in the mission editor but it still appears in the encyclopedia.
  22. I didn't want a third install either so i did this: DCS_updater.exe update @openbeta And then, when it comes out on the release version I will do this: DCS_updater.exe update @release https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
  23. The police light is still not working in 1.5.8.12162 as far as I can tell.
  24. Has this changed? Does it look a bit odd to anyone else? It has this forked tail thing going on....
