How is that poor planning? I own every module and I see this as good planning as it means they are maximizing their use of the patch: to deliver new content (Harrier) and updates to the Mirage. That sounds awesome to me! Mirage is by far my favorite module (and I think the Harrier will be a close second) and they are not making everyone unhappy either. ;)

Agreed! Even after I managed to get the glare issue resolved I still found it very had to read the HUD but not impossible (as it was before) so that was a huge improvement :) It would be nice if there were some adjustments to the Mirage in line with the Harrier. Perhaps make the HUD brighness knob functional on the Mirage might do the trick ;)

Problem solved! I thought I had removed all mods when I was trying to figure this out but it turns out I had one hanging around. Removed it and now all is good :)

As a note, I found this video that appears to have deferred shading enabled but he is not experiencing the same canopy glare I am getting: but I dont know how to get the same results! :(

I thought I read somewhere that the canopy glare that was introduced with the new "Deferred Shading" feature had been fixed? But I loaded up the Mirage on Nevada and the glare was so bad I could not see out of the front or read the HUD. I tried all of the other aircraft and didn't have this problem like I do with the Mirage. Just asking in case I have a corrupted install. Thanks

I cant imagine any MP server running a mission with this on. If the default setting is off then there is little risk of it being accidentally left on. I think it would be a valuable training tool to have this option available. And how is hovering going to be an advantage? They are a sitting duck when hovering. Let people choose how they want to fly instead of you dictating to them how to enjoy the sim Also, the server and mission options override the client options.

I am a huge fan of this style and feel they are perfect for desktop backgrounds because they are uncluttered. My only wish would be to have another one that shows a bit more detail of the aircraft. The one done for the Harrier was perfect!

I started reading this and wow this document is spectacular! It is very well written and does not assume that you know anything at all. Razbam could simply include this with their module and remove any parts that are not implemented :)

Sorry guys I think you misunderstood. I know I generally dont worry about it but sometimes I want to have the correct approach vector to a WP set as IP. In the navigation tutorial the guy said "we know that our course is supposed to be 270" and my first question back at the instructor was "Yeah? how do I know that?" I looked through the CDU pages I had available as well as the HUD and could not see anything to tell me that the course to WP4 was 270. So I feel like I am missing something.

Hey folks, Just starting to learn the A-10C and plugging through the training mission. I was going through the navigation mission and at one point they mention setting the course 270 on the HSI for WP-4. Where do you get the set course information for a waypoint?

It should be accessible in multiplayer

I think the reason it's never been done (and not planned to be done) is that they would be opening a can of worms where you have people comparing and nitpicking. No one wants that kind of scrutiny.

I believe it can be set inside the mission but you can override that setting from your option "Game settings" under realism I think. Not sure any more as i have not tried game mode since Black Shark was a separate executable.

I think training for any module would need to be on the Caucuses map. I think it would be frustrating if someone bought the module and the only way to get the training would possibly require an additional purchase. It actually doesn't have to be set to the center of the runway. Just set to landing and it will snap to the center of the nearest runway automatically.

Sure but I was simply pointing out the information is available. I guess once your landing gear is down you are so close that the distance is no longer critical information

It has to be set as a "landing" waypoint. You should see the waypoint icon snap to the center of the airfield.

Use RIGHT-CTRL+ENTER to see what you controller input is. I've seen some cases (not just Mirage) where a bit of brakes are applied by default and i have to tap the toe brakes to clear it.
