  1. #cfrag ... I found your post here I'll read through it and get a better understanding of DML
  2. Thanks for your response, interesting. Is the DML version freely available, and do you have any documentation regarding installation. I know you've taken a step back from this project so don't feel under any pressure or obligation. I won't be offended for a straight up no answer
  3. Hi cfrag I have tried your mission and the radio works fine. I noticed that you are running version 1.3.1 of StopGaps. My version is 1.1.1 STANDALONE. I've searched for a version 1.3.1 but I can't find it anywhere. Is there actually a version 1.3.1 or was that something you were working on? What follows isn't actually imporant but I'm just interested to know - in you mission you run three other scripts: dcsCommon = {}, cfxZones = {} and cfxMX = {}. What do they do exactly? Regards
  4. Hmm, weird. I haven't had a problem before. I start cold and turn on the electric power before I do anything else. The only difference between my current mission and my previous mission is that I added the MiG-29 Fulcrum, hence the need for StopGaps. I'll have a play around and report back. In the meantime, I'll try your missiion.
  5. I've used StopGaps for some time with great success. I have a mission flying the Su-25T and I have decided to enable StopGaps. I now find that the radio only works in the plane if I set the plane to 'Take off from ramp'. If I change it to 'Take off from Ground', to take advantage of StopGaps, the radio does not work. Has this always been the case and I only just noticed it, or has something changed since the latest update of DCS?
  6. Hi guys. Just to let you know, I wasn't complaining, I can manage my fuel just fine ... it was merely a question in case I had missed a setting, perhaps in the mission editor.
  7. Thanks Daca. I was just wondering if the Bingo fuel could be changed llike in the US planes. If it can't, thats fine.
  8. The low fuel warning in the MiG-29A Fulcrum is set to 550Kg of fuel. Was that fixed in the real aircraft, or could the minimum fuel level be adjusted? If it was adjustable in the real MiG-29A, can we have it adjustable in the sim? Thanks
  9. Hi I'm sure you know what IPD is, but for those that don't, it is the "interpupillary distance", i.e. the distance between the centres of your pupils. If you are trying to force 75mm or above, that seems very extreme. Most people are in the low 60mm range. Just a thought.
  10. Just a note guys, in case this crops up ... The folder for the new Mig-29 Fulcrum is MiG-29 Fulcrum NOT MiG-29-Fulcrum
  11. I've got it! The icon was confusing me ... the dot with the two circular arrows was telling my brain it was a moue wheel command! For anyone else confused, its a left mouse click and drag and a right mouse click and drag! DOH!
  12. Okay, thanks. I'll give it another go. I thought I could adjust them anywhere once the icon had changed to the adjust icon.
  13. In VR I am unable to adjust the mirrors individually using the mouse scroll wheel. Am I just doing it wrong?
  14. Clean Mission attached. The F10 radio option starts the troops. Troops Embark.miz
  15. Yes I could. but the MODS would probably make your toes curl: Bronco-OV-10A Massun92-Humans Pilot Ground SAM Sites Asset Pack Special Missions Aircraft VPC Objscts Maybe I'll just make a 'clean' mission to demonstrate the issue. But in the meatime, I have attached my training mission. There is an F10 radio button in the Mi-24 cold start that activates the troops to embark. Once pressed, the troops do their usual running around like headless chickens but do not embark. OV-10A - Ka-50 III - Mi-24P - Weapons Training.miz
  16. I can have an AI helo fly in and embark troops without a problem. I'm struggling to get troops to embark to a player controlled helo from a cold start. I tried using the F10 radio button to get them to embark once I had started the helo but no joy.
  17. NOW you tell me the problems!
  18. Thanks Raven. I think I've got it. I'm going to give "DCS_Label_Manager_1.0" a go. I was looking for a "Text" setting but it appears the "Symbol" size setting covers all symbols including text.
  19. Yes, thanks. I looked at a heap of MODS but they seem to replace text with symbols
  20. Strangely, I'm looking for a way to decrease the font size, but specifically the labels when in VR. They are too big for close objects. Any ideas? Thanks
  21. Hi Gilligan Thanks for your input. I think you're right about "typical behaviour". The AUTO mode gets me pretty close and I find that often, if I de-select/re-select in the weapons window, the maverick will lock on eventually. Cheers
  22. I just had a thought after my last post. In my training mission, my targets are quite close together. As the maverick locks on by contrast, perhaps I'm being a little unrealistic to expect it to lock onto the exact target according to the TGP. Even in AUTO I assume the maverick will still lock onto the highest contrast target in that particular area.
  23. Hi Gilligan I have followed the boresight procedure to the letter when carrying out the procedure on the ground and I also carry out the boresight again when I lock onto a target. When I watch YouTube videos of maverick tutorials they always seem to be bang on. I'll take more notice of distance to target in the future and see if that makes any difference. I'm not saying the difference between the maverick and TGP are miles out, but enough to be annoying. I also find that undesignating the target in the weapons MFD and re-locking sometimes forces it to look to the correct target. Anyway, thanks for your input. BTW ... I saved a track of my complete mission but when it got to the boresight part the track went weird and it looked like I was boresighting 25 yards away from the target! I hadn't of course and I'd aligned both the TGP and the maverick perfectly. I've added the track if anyone want to take a look. Be warned, it's quite long F-16C Boresight.trk
