  1. Just finished the mission and some communication are a bit off the timing I guess. The engage orders come a bit early since I ended up waiting a while before the squadron turned to engage. A few of the battle sounds (parasites, guns and a few words) which I think should be playing during the engagement with the 4 109s over the Channel (some mention of 109s in the communications) were played half way from the Coast of UK and Biggin hill when no enemy were around.
  2. can't tell you since I haven't been able to move past that one... I didn't have as much of a problem on the 2 other DLCs I finished a couple of month ago. he was leaving formation at an earlier WPT (usually after telling me to land) or I could tell him to RTB on radio. the few cases the wingman didn't leave formation he crashed beside the runway as I landed.
  3. updated SRS and it seems to have worked. there must have been a recent update as I updated it a few weeks ago
  4. for the behavior, it turn hard left as soon as you get the landing permission. as he follows right beside you on your right wing tip to wing tip... there is no escape when he does that. also, the audio message for when he joins the formation plays as you cross wpt 1 on your way to wpt 9 back from the mission instead of when he joins you
  5. All Reaper 1-1 audio and messages (only exception I found so far are the response to Bingo) stops after the message to break formation and go to our stations. after that i get Max tell the two stories, I get Max's report about the F4 and my pilot's Tally. Then nothing. I do get cues for visual tally, the yes no response and my pilot's response to the RTB order. Chevy 4 and 5 only reports being on station close to the RTP. I'm not sure whether it's a problem on my side but got the bug 3 times out of 3 so far. Steam install, latest beta
  6. I found the issue for the initial radio radio check issue. while you did set the initial freq for all planes at 248.5AM at initialisation of the mission you have Chevy 3-1 and Chevy 3-2 perform the following task "set radio 250.3 AM" as a result I guess it sets the radios to 250.3 instead of the preset channel 1. hence the need to cycle the channels.
  7. For some reason he keeps doing a hard break turn right into my plane when on final and I request landing clearance at the end of the mission. I'm 2 for 2 so far when the comms doesn't but. I tried to tell him to anchor or to RTB before but no response or results.
  8. had the issue twice yesterday with the A10CII. Mid mission the comms stopped working correctly: - I could hear the AI make calls of position or potting reports - I could pop the menu and select options But - my pilot never sent the message I have selected in the menu - I never got any responses Also prior to the full issue, AI messages audio became truncated. I still had the subtitles but no more audio after 2 or 3 words.
  9. only mods I have is SRS and the 476 NTTR targets also the mission worked fine once... just "Sabre" came as usual to plow his plane in mine on final (a recurring issue with the AI saddly) I'll try removing SRS and see if it's the reason
  10. It occured to me when flying the approach on Mission 2. Approach tells me to descend to 4000 at Apex... Just I could find Apex nowhere on the maps included in the brief or the nevada map charts. it would be nice to have a map with the various waypoint used to depart and approach Nellis during this Red Flag, at least just for immersion.
  11. 2833 works. would be nice if they decided once for all on how they make it work... sometimes you need to keep 2992 to work, then they update and you have to go QFE. Then they update and you have to go QNH then they update and it's FL again... clearly not fun for you devs I bet.
  12. I dunno if it's the campaign or a DCS bug but I haven't been able to replicate it in other missions or aircrafts. During the TAC11 after I finish the taskings of UZI 1-1 and it can happen during or before contacting Hammerhead 1-1, I suddenly loose all communication ability. I still hear the IA talking, the menus are still showing and working. But after selecting the options (doesn't matter the option) I get nothing, my pilot isn't talking to anyone. Happened twice today, with a complete file integrity verification inbetween. of course being unable to contact Hammerhead I can't complete the mission anyone else got that?
  13. I come back on this question since I just started the campaign. I tried the first mission and got called for "check your altitude" almost all the time. I kept altimeter at 29.92 then was between 8000 and 9000 on TC IRIS and GOPHER and he kept calling me on it untill I went higher than 9000 same on TC Oscar when leaving the VTA... I got called out when I was below 7000 when the briefing seems to say to fly between 6000 and 7000 do I need to set altimeter to the 2833? or am I missunderstanding the briefing docs?
  14. okay for the Mirage 2000 variants it was this way : Mirage 2000C is the first single seat variant used by the French Air Force Mirage 2000B is the two seat version of the the 2000C. Mirage 2000-5 is the modernised version of the C with MCU, indeed an earlier version of what was in the first Rafale variant (we are reaching the 4th variant of the rafale now) Mirage 2000D is the two seat version of the 2000-5 therefore has the same avionic although it is more aimed at bombing Mirage 2000N is a very specific version of the D... it has one and only one mission... deliver the french nuclear bomb. (the N stands for Nuclear variant) Mirage 2000-9 is a more advanced variant made only to be exported when Dassault could not export Rafale. I think only the Emirates have it but I'm not sure. The avionic is the Dassault Electronic not the Thales version. And considering how the first Thomson (previous name ofThales) version of the Mirage 2000C Radar got its nickname of "Tefal"... I'm not sure the Thales is the best of the lot (The 2000C radar got dubbed Tefal - a special brand of teflon coated skillet we have in France in which food doesn't stick and has for motto "Tefal heats up but doesn't stick" - because on the first radar tracking tests made by the French Air Force testing team, the Test pilot had the target in visual range while the radar could still not get a lock and worse was overheating... basically it was heating up but did not stick... the story probably got a bit embellished with the years, but according to a member of my family who was on the Dassault representative team on that day... the test pilot was livid with rage when he talked to the Thomson representatives.) now if they could do the -5, I'd love it too, the -5 is the one who can shoot the French Fox 3 equivalent, the Charlie is only able to shoot the 530. however, the Charlies been decomissionned, the -5 still are on active duty and use similar armement as Rafale, so I doubt we'll see accurate representation in DCS, not with the security around thier data
  15. dunno if it's the same bug but I lost the audio from Reaper after we broke formation. I had Green on Element(8) and Red on Main(1) as reaper required one set to be on main at all time. I could hear my pilot and the other mirages, but not Reaper so basically I was responding to emptyness. tried cycling both radios without any success. Reaper never came back online
  16. In France, and I think it's actually the standard international rule since french aren't the only one, numbers are never read on the radio as numbers but as a string of digits to prevent missunderstanding. the reading "twenty-six'' is in fact a pure US (maybe canadian too) exception even in civilian aviation. in fact considering how often French people will confuse Thirteen and Thirty... (and actually all the -teen and -ty) better not use those who are non-native english speakers
  17. very nice campaign in Caucasus. really enjoyed the immersion and as a frenchie, I loved that the french pilots had the accent (some of them attrocious even for me) only encountered a few bugs and I think the last mission would need an update following the CCPL PI system update. The IP update on WP5 never registered and I had to do a standard CCPL profile but it worked. Also found out the difficulty to engage a Mig 29 with fox 3 when you only have fox 2s under your wings. great campaign, I already bought Red Flag and Raven One to work on!! Please do more Mirage 2000 C campaign in the future, it's my favorite land based plane
  18. just did the mission for the first time and yeah fuel saving is needed. I could not cut off the main tank until I reached 2000ft though (it would not feed), but once we began to climb worked as advertised is it normal? in the end my drop tank went empty a bit before the bombing target. I did a few minutes of BFM with a few hits... then went full throttle for the coast. Then I reduced power to save fuel. Landed at Begin Hill with just enough to taxi... (the engine flamed out then). Maybe to add to the pilot notes a best conservation setting for rpm and boost? we only have the continous max power, I think a pilot in these kind of missions would have noted the power setting to save as much fuel as he could.
  19. the A6 intruder is my most waited module so far. I've been a fan of the plane since the Stephen Coonts novels "Flight of the Intruder" and "The Intruder". Also for the AI names if I may suggest Pilot = Cool Hand (the most famous A-6 pilot as seeing the movie Flight of the Intruder) BN = either Morg or Tiger (Tiger is the one played by Willem Defoe) for a USN plane and Flap (the USMC BN Cool hand fly with in the Intruder novel) for a USMC plane
  20. I have found some conflicting data between the briefing notes (the page with blue red and green writing on a lined page) and the mission plates (the table with all the frequencies, wp altitudes, bingo info etc.) in Mission 7 and 8 of the caucasus campaign for the Mirage 2000. namely ! the IFF settings aren't the same on the briefing note and the mission plate I.E on mission 8 the briefing note says IFF 1987 but the plate with all the WP altitudes and frequencies says 1330 Another disparity is the QNH which differs between the Metar and the briefing notes. I.E. in mission 8 Metar says QNH 1009 the briefing notes says 1013. on the mission plate of Mission 8 the Guard frequency is Red channel 3 but the during the mission it's red Channel 6 the flight name on the plate is Chevy 1 not Pontiac 1 same disparities can be seen in at least mission 7 (might be others) it is confusing as to know which value to use to set up the planes or during the mission. on another note, the AWAC and Cargo plane obstructing the taxi of the other CAS Mirage 2000-C pairs at the start of the mission is back. I had to remove them from the map to be able to fly the mission.
