I'm getting a similar problem with my SIMPEDS. Sometimes I can get three pulses out of them before they lock up, but they will lock up. Looks fine in Game Controller. I can never get Rctrl + Enter to work. I'm running MFCD and Windowed mode. Could that explain it?

I've searched for this but have come up empty so I'm sorry if this is old hat. :helpsmilie: What's the deal with scoring points in the new Training Missions? Sometimes I get a handful, sometimes (a lot, lately) I get zero. I try to follow the instructions to the letter, then expend left-over ordnance on remaining targets; this can result in a couple of dozen points in the Debrief screen or nada. I've flown the Guns and Rockets, Unguided Bombs and Mavericks missions several times with varying degrees of luck. Am I doing something wrong? Are points even supposed to be awarded in training missions? Should I even care? :music_whistling:

PGM Training Crashes I've had two crashes on the updated PGM mission, both the same event: while looking at the target through Cntrl F6, the sim freezes when the GBU-38 hits, just when the target should explode (it doesn't). The track files are too big so I can't attach them. Sorry.

This came out in November if I'm not mistaken.

I've lost autopilot on two occasions due to EAC turning off on its own. Once I couldn't get it to come back and the other time a few flips back and forth got it going again. These were training missions I'd started in the air. Weird thing: sometimes I didn't hear a corresponding cockpit click when I cycled the EAC switch on my Warthog's throttle base. Interesting or trivial?

Slight install problem: throttle and stick positions in windows game controllers were reversed. Solved this by unplugging both from the powered USB, then plugging them back in - throttle first. Worked like a charm. Haven't checked lights' behavior. Problem #2: Can no longer use Mic Switch Up as my TS3 PTT. The button shows up in Windows and I've followed Stanger's instructions (several times) and no joy. Problem Solved: Simple 'ol reboot took care of it.

Figured it out, was shooting at the wrong tanks on the second shot (got my directions confused). Dumb, eh?

My trim switch has the same problem. I think it's because I don't press/pull at exactly the right angle and wind up hitting one of the "down right/up left" positions by mistake.

Failure to Complete Maverick Training I must be shooting the wrong targets or something - I get an "attaboy" from the Instructor after my first missle hits but I don't hear from him after the instructions to set-up for the second pass. I don't get a mission completed from him even if all four Mavs score hits. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone seen the moving vehicle at the end of "Guns and Rockets"? I've flown the mission four times now (with only one Target Fixation crash :) ) and have yet to spy this target. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I turned the brightness of the LEDs up for dramatic purposes. I run with them at the lowest setting. Best of luck with that Christmas wish. You gotta have two in order to balance the Fung Shwei (sp?), right? :)

Another SimPed purchaser here. I ordered mine 11/9 and DHL put.them on the boat 11/23; I should have them first week of Dec. I thought long and hard about the new Saitek pedals but decided I wanted something that was currently available-if you can call waiting a month for your pedals "available". ;) I've read nothing but great stuff about the SimPeds and am very confident in my decision. Bear with me and I'll be sure to post a review.

How Dumb Can I Be? They're working. They've always been working, I think. Here's the dumb part: I was starting in missions in which the MFCDs were dark, like Startup.miz. For grins, I picked Free Flight in Black Sea Region and when the cockpit lit up, so did the LCDs! I can't tell you how silly I feel but I can thank you all for sticking with me throughout this ordeal. You've been helpful and patient and a true credit to this forum. Sorry for all the headaches. You guys are the best!

Thank you, Slammin. I wasn't running Basic Colors, but thanks for the tip; I didn't know that before. Also, SLI is now off. As far as the naming convention goes, I think it's right. To test this, I went by your .lua posting and created a whole new file in the MonitorSetup folder, called "homegrown". I referenced it in the options.lua file, then set it up with the settings Kuky and I have discussed. The file name showed up in the Options screen in-game and loaded w/no trouble once I started a mission. Alas, no LCD monitor output at the start screen. In order to fully open myself to ridicule, here are the relevant sections of options.lua and homegrown.lua. I'm sure there's a glaring rookie mistake in there, I just don't see it. :helpsmilie: Thanks in advance!

I'm using 2 8800GTs in SLI w/258.96 drivers. DirectX 9.0C installed as well. OS is Win 7 Home Professional 32 bit. I don't know what you mean by "aero/compatibility shortcut". Sorry <shrugs>. P.S. I got past that "format" thing and now my .lua file looks exactly like Kuky's, edited in Notepad ++. I can tell that the displays are working - the cursor moves between them with alacrity - but absolutely no video is displayed when the mission comes up (I usually go to the new Startup). The screens show the "Please wait", etc. and blue progress bar while the missions loads, however.

Nope, definitely editing the latter file. Weird, huh?

I finally understand the format and the rez's and all that, but here's what I don't understand: my Mimos will not work as MFCD-style displays unless I choose "1 Screen" from the Options Menu. If I choose MFCD, I get blank screens at the bottom of the cockpit everytime. NOW I'm confused (and tired - it's quite late).

From Triumph to Failure I had the cockpit images on the Mimos earlier today, but now all I get in MFCD mode is three screens compressed to a 1/3 of the center. I can't explain what went wrong; I was being careful to only adjust one thing at a time... I did back up the file and what's posted below is the fresh file with some small additions. Anyway, I screwed up and now I need some help - again! Here's my .lua file in all its insane glory. I used Kuky's values as a starting point and they seemed to work before, though I can't say if they made any difference in the images. Comments and rotten fruit (thrown, of course) are welcome. My specs: Samsung Synchmaster 1920x1200, 2xMimo 710S (800x480), 2x8800GT in SLI, 2.4GHz Duo Quad Core, 4GB Corsair DDR2, Win 7 32 bit, Track IR 4 (with v5 software).
