  1. I mean that, judging from this newsletter, now there are territories that are present in both the Sinai and the Syria maps. I know that Ugra packs tons of objects in their maps, but, for example, i find their terrain textures somewhat cartoony. I wonder what the same places look like in the Sinai map.
  2. Great-sounding update. I wonder how the Sinai map compares to the Ugra Media Syria map for the overlapping territories.
  3. Has VRAM consumption gone up, or am i imagining things? I havent played in 2 months or so.
  4. Quick Action Generator Not quick or rapid at all, because it starts by immediately generating a map it assumes i want to use, and it takes time. This may be a mistake. First it should allow me to select parameters, including the map, and then take the time to generate whatever it does, no? Havent had the chance to dive deeper, but apart from the startup, it seems better than the old one.
  5. It's in the e-shop!
  6. That would be "Jawohl Mein Herr!" Danke schön.
  7. So let's reword some of the wishes: Dear Ugra! Please do 2 new maps too: Cold War - Eastern Europe and Cold War - Western Europe (incl. Iceland for those Tom Clancy - Red Storm Rising vibes)
  8. A campaign idea for someone willing to create it: Starts when Redfor already occupied almost or all of Germany. Bluefor has to take it back step-by-step starting from bases from the west (and north), including a carrier group in the North Sea. There can be a prequel ofc which focuses on the Redfor invasion. Both campaigns could be made 2-sided, where the task of the player on the losing (defending) side is essentially to minimize losses as much as possible (not necessarily in the briefings, but in the background/story -- i mean, you successfully complete your mission, but things happen, often elsewhere, that are outside your control). Satisfaction for the losing side can be had in preservation of friendly characters (or your beloved Zhiguli / Mercedes), gaining medals for courage, etc.
  9. Username "checks out" I see. Masterful advertisement of a gorgeous map.
  10. Maybe ED will do it after they finish with the F-15C...
  11. Yes, to the level of Unbelievable!
  12. Man, you are not only selling your campaign, this sells the F-4 too! This quality and level of detail should be the ED standard. Your Jester really sounds helpful and entertaining. I wonder if you could bring Petrovich to life... Unfortunately, I dont yet own any of the modules you have campaigns for.
  13. Incredible amount of details, how do you do that? I'm not a preorder person, but this makes me think i should... I would also like to see some mountains and rocks and hills. Please?
  14. @MAESTR0 You wrote "which will be the key to your campaigns!" "Destroy the power grid to weaken the enemy industry" etc etc. This really jumpstarts one's imagination to start running. In a dynamic way, so to speak. Sorry, i will show myself out.
  15. Thanks, then people shouldn't worry about carrier ops, there will be plenty of deep water west of Denmark.
  16. @MAESTR0 Noob question here. I see the map (phase?) boundaries are angled. How will this work? The map won't be North-South aligned in game? Or is that the boundary of higher detailed parts only? Thanks in advance.
  17. I think it is understandable to have some bitter feeling if someone just bought Flaming Cliffs, and then got the news that one of the planes he just paid for will become free. Especially if the person is not from a rich country.
  18. We wish you a Vulkan Christmas We wish you an AI Christmas We wish you Dynamic Christmas And a Savegame New Year! "with texture resolution increased by 400%" -- I wonder what this means for VRAM usage.
  19. I've only checked out my favourite weapons range near Damascus (Mi-24 instant action), and was very much surprised to see how it changed. Tons of new objects, no cost to performance. Congratulations for that! I need to get used to the new look, targets are much harder to spot now there :P
  20. Yes, yes, yes! And I will go a step further: allow any number of presets -- like with config profiles, let us name them and save them, load them when need them. Reason? Very different performance requirements between aircraft, maps, VR, flatscreen, single vs multiplayer, mission complexity etc.
  21. Maybe -- just maybe -- some people's impatience could be sated -- along with the curiosity of others -- if some more information was provided on plans and roadmaps, like: 1) Vulkan We need to review/rethink/rewrite 9999 lines of code, we have done 2000 so far. There came up interdependencies with project 2) which affects scheduling, planning, cooperation etc. 2) MT We need to review/rethink/rewrite 9999+1 lines of code, we have done 5000 so far. There came up interdependencies with project 1) which ... 3) Dynamic Campaign Design Phase: Completed. Coding: Need to create AI strategy logic, unit and resource spawning, rework pathfinding, etc. Approximately 10k lines done so far, probably another 10k needed. 4) SuperCarrier Need you to buy enough modules so we can bribe someone to sneak me on board and get a 1st hand experience for better quality design. But then, maybe, if ED did this, players would demand more details, would say they could do better (some possibly could), complain about progress speed, have different ideas, etc.
  22. "Grab something truly special while you still can" -- that sounds ominous ;)
  23. Yes, because of performance issues. But next year im gonna buy myself a better PC.
  24. I guess the Launcher will just call the current executable when starting the game. If so, we will be able to open the game separately from the launcher. Im so happy about this newsletter, many of my gripes are being addressed, lack of launcher being among them (Skatezilla's doesnt work for me properly), also saving game, better training, maybe GUI rework. Edit: havent played in more than a month, forgot the current exec authenticates, etc.
