I am also against this, pulling the handles happened to me maybe once or twice when I first got the game. Just forgetting the whole "I really need to stop this fire in my engines fairly quickly" issue I have against this it also does not make any sense from a user perspective. Basically what you are suggesting would be completely counter intuitive. No one would pick up this game and say, hey these handlebars, I better click three times for these to actually function. Also I think you are overstating the issue at hand here.

speed brake extend/retract cycle speed....
Irregular programming replied to gear_monkey's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I want the ammunition he is fireing. :joystick: -
Yeah the JTAC really could do with some improvements, if it would just call you off correctly it would be a huge improvement, as it is now we have to sign out and then sign in again if they have additional targets, and if you don't you hang the JTAC. Very annoying midmission. :music_whistling:

You haven't seen real coffee untill you've had it served through a tripple buffered tessellation pipeline. -
Impressive DX11 Patch
Irregular programming replied to hassata's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
^^ good question. I use the cryengine as firmware in my coffeemaker. -
I thought this Ed guy was doing everything..?

In the first campaign make use of ground cover to get close to the targets. You can also fool the missiles at striking the ground if you are low enough by diving towards it.
-
It can't, don't you have a SEAD dedicated flight to deal with these? Which campaign are we talking about?

Dynamic Campaign Discussion Thread
Irregular programming replied to winchesterdelta1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
It is very possible to create a truly dynamic campaign, I have toyed with the idea and made a quick test app but nothing really came out of it. Basically what you need is a third party application that would contain the campaign, this would be like a board game which have all the units on it, some rules and an AI that played the game for you. The app would also create and fly missions which you can "jump into". More or less just like the F4 campaign. The program would then generate a mission and run it using the A10 executable and when you die, or exit, it would read the exported lua from the game to update the state of the campaign. Rinse and repeat. Basically nothing about this is really hard, just very tedious, a lot of work, and there is a huge risk that you will run into strange bugs in the missions and bad compatibility between patches. -
Shooting is extremely fun. I compete mostly IPSC but in other things as well. Here I am shooting steel at in a gravel query 2 hours north of Stockholm. HCcw3bX9DsQ Some IPSC fotage from back in a day jMoaBzHvMtQ A silly video of my Danish Garand in action d4qe9icNSe4&NR=1 And I recently spent most of my hard earned buckets of cash on a Contour HD. I don't have food for the month, but here is a test video where I can't shoot steel targets... also Lugers. KfUEKgw5wzg Pew pew.

How do I enable TrackIR look in third person view? It seems as if it is mapped, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to turn it "on"? :joystick: Edit.. Apparently "Question" just fell out of the thread title didn't it.

What just happened to my nosewheel?
Irregular programming replied to Depth's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I wouldn't trust track recordings as far as I could throw Manhattan. Yep, I've found a couple of these as well, some places just completely obliterate your landing gears irregardless off your current speed. -
You didn't kill the tanks that the JTAC had assigned to you. You need to kill the rigth tanks.

See this chart, 1. Two weeks. 2. Soon. 3. When it is done. 4. Sooner than you might think I believe. 5. Sometime later this year. 6. It's done, all we need to do is enable the finalized features in settings. Roll a six sided dice, select the answer that correspond to the number you rolled for an accurate and factually correct answer. :smartass:

Help with Instant Action Easy Georgia
Irregular programming replied to toby23's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Har to say without a track showing us where you went wrong. Are you setting the SPI to the vehicles themselfs as you bomb, because if you don't you are going to aim for the point on the ground the JTAC gave you. -
And what is its current airspeed velocity?
-
I agree, I can see dcs a10c warthog taking full advantage of the dynamic cave modelling and water current placement tools.

Unless you really like the BF series I don't see why you'd be hyped by this. From the trailer it sadly seems to be about the same game (boring scripted fightscenes, ai that throws themselfs at you, red screen auto generating health), a little better grafics and that's all. It's another game I'd play for a couple of hours untill I get bored at looking at the explosions, complete it and then never touch again.

Neverending contest (military aviation knowledge)
Irregular programming replied to Kusch's topic in Military and Aviation
With the exception of the spelling of Såtenäs you are 100% correct, nicely done, please continue! -
God grief, have some fun will ya, weapons delivery could very well be the absolute first thing for a new pilot to learn. That way he can be somewhat okayish at the game and still be able to play it. Then he can continue on looking at all the other cool things that the sim features.
