  1. Awesome! This was what made the campaigns unplayable for me. Hopefully it will make it to this patch. (I also like to thank ED for using twitter much more now, these little bits of text are worth gold for us waiting on what's to come.)
  2. Last I checked FF had terrible issues with nvidia cards.
  3. These are great!
  4. We use it at work to test for XP only bugs in the software we are writing. What's your question about it?
  5. Yup, twitter is really great. I love it when companies actually take their time to make their twitters worth following.
  6. "Looks like the Effects.dll crash bug is fixed."!! Great!
  7. Err, did they just download this video: from youtube, slap their logo on it and use it in the article?
  8. Well we have enormous resources of unbroken uranium, and when that is all used up we can shift to thorium. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thorium Fuel for nuclear power plants are hardly a concern as of yet. You can also reuse the plutonium in the spent fuel rods to further extend the life of the plant.
  9. Thank you. 9 out of 10 good job ED, and well deserved.
  10. Ok, that makes sense.
  11. That was the reason for my post. I implied that reversing the store could be done automatically with just another programming loop. Aka the munition would not be dropped and all targeting data would be cleared if the pilot didn't follow through with the launch. I was just curious if the game had it right, and if there was a reason mechanical or otherwise for why the plane simply didn't rearm itself. Again it sounds fairly dangerous to have a weapon just cease to function just because you didn't hold a button pressed long enough.
  12. Is this really correct functionality? I can't see any rhyme or reason for why you'd not just not drop the ordnance if the pickle button is not depressed until the ordinance is released. That the store would hang just because you slip with your finger sounds extremely dangerous?
  13. Did you install it as an administrator? (I have never heard of the program before so I can't really help you more than throw out some ideas)
  14. Gee, the campaign in Falcon was amazing. But yeah, having support for more cores whould be nice but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I agree, Doom II was never a game.
  15. Buy it from Direct2Drive they take paypal, I myself refuse to deal through paypal because how they treat their customers, and go get a creditcard.
  16. Well.. have you tried sawing the wings off a real a-10 and set the remaining wingtips on fire? Thought not.. :pilotfly:
  17. There are only a few stupid questions and those happen to be the ones I make. On the TAD display when recieving a target I belive it's OSB 19 that has a wilco label set next to it.
  18. I've played that mission like ten times and the JTAC allways worked.
  19. You will get to mission two if you just take off (50points) go to waypoint 1 and head back again and land (1p).
  20. I have never had to do this, the presets load automatically for me by just turning the dial.
  21. And now it's back again in 1.1.0.6, never got it in release. I've got it twice since I installed this patch.
  22. I certainly didn't mean for you to take any offence. Yes, you can change the load in the mission planner. I just said how I like to play the campaigns, not how anyone else should, or have to. The main thing is that you have fun with the game after all. The OP just asked for tips on how to operate the maverick. I am sorry if it came out wrong over the internet, it was supposed to be a bit tongue in cheek, so friends again? :)
  23. Feel free to edit the missions, turn on invincibility or unlimited weapons if you wish. But some of us just like to fly the missions as they were intended to be flown by the mission designer.
  24. Except when you don't have the TGP like in the first campaign. As for the OP, I've found that flying slow and straight will make the mavericks slewable in such a way that you can use them to look for targets. I keep my slew on 2, but sometimes when not having a JTAC SPI I'll make it higher. And yes, I keep quite a distance.
  25. Sorry but this is incorrect, the mission is to keep the two columns of enemy vehicles from arriving at their respective targets for 1 hour from their arrival. That means that you have to keep the column from moving by halting it with your mavericks, at least that's how I did it, there is as said no points given for actual destruction of the two columns. You will get a mission success from not doing anything other than lift from the airfield fly around for a bit and return though.
