After patches we have to do everything different
Irregular programming replied to vortex360's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
What is the new functionality in the patch anyway? I've flown a couple of times but has not noticed anything that works completely different than before in a way that I can't figure out how to use it. -

Don't you get cut off sound files? I would be very surprised if this worked. -

No, I am not sure at all. When I got the game I started renaming files from BS1 to see what was possible, translating the wingmen should probably be working by just renaming and switching out the soundfiles. However the russian almaz has begining and endings soundfiles, while the english sounds in BS2 do not. When I get home I can look at this again but I was looking in the almaz folder. I guess waiting for the russian BS2 version to come out might solve it. -

I looked into it and I think it requires code changes to work as the russian soundfiles are split up and the english ones are not. I guess I could take a stab att digging through the lua files again but I am not sure if anything comes out of it. I would probably not have bought the game had I known about this. -
If you ask the tower for permission to taxi your wingmen will chrash into eachother and you have to fly the mission alone. :pilotfly:

Russian radio talk with english version
Irregular programming replied to Mustur's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I really hope this is corrected, talk about a real downer. :( -
I bought the full game again, rather than wait for the update, to support ED. So there, stop whining, this is awesome.

I missed your response. And of course I saw the picture posted by the OP did you not read my post?

The default keypress is Home+RWin I don't know why you don't have it in your keymapper, have you updated the game to 1.0.0.9? Because it's there. Also I don't know why you are so focused on the manual, there are great community made tutorials on youtube of everything you need to know. There is literary no need to even open the manual unless there is something specific you want to find out. Also, most of the fun comes from learning the game, I don't see how you don't count that as gaming time because I sure did.

A10 has a cheat startup sequence. Just look in the keymapper, I can't remember it right now.

Dynamic Campaign Discussion Thread
Irregular programming replied to winchesterdelta1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
This right here is why I want a DC. In falcon I knew the world was alive, the airplanes starting and landing were all on their way to their respective missions just like I was (it doesn't matter that they turned into chips on a playing board when they weren't in my bubble they were still actively in the game), I don't care how much or how little impact I had on the over all war. Nor does randomly place units in anyway get close to "fix" this in DCS. I know the planes landing are just some props put there by the mission maker so that I can't make it to the mission too fast and break his scripts. A DC is a have to have in any combat simulator and a scripted mission editor hardly even belongs. At most it's usability stretches as far as to play around in and maybe do some tutorial mission in. I am sad to say that the DCS games get kinda uninteresting after you have learned the aircraft and all that is left are flying the single missions without much of a goal other than to get "points" for whichever arbitrary task the mission maker decided was needed to win just this one. -
Me too, I never played it with English but from all the videos it was really corny also the audio has subtitles so it's not like you loose any information from it.

Bring back the pilot, also make you move the hands to the knobs that you are manipulating so that they never get in the way. Sort of like a better implementation of that Trespasser game

Laser designation and IR in real life
Irregular programming replied to 112th_Rossi's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Would a laser warning system give warnings from IR energy? -
Newbie Question Alert: Taxi Speed
Irregular programming replied to Moggster's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
If you are using more than 2 wheels while taking corners you are taxing too slow. -
So I flew the first night mission since early beta and I can't seem to be able to see the beam from the pod. Night vision is on and the pod set to laser both, am I forgetting something silly? (no track, but I can put one up if it's not something obvious that I missed) Also the night hud is now unusable where as the day hud is crisp clear with night vision on, I don't think this is how it's supposed to be?
