  1. Wow! 14 hrs/wk? One of the requirements might be: retired & single. Good luck mate!
  2. How do you practice as a team when there are no established or "rigid" times to meet? I'm interested but I have to plan my schedule in order to know when to meet up. Thx
  3. No response to Forum registration.
  4. Thank you Nero.ger! I have discovered the same frustrating issues. I don't know if it's just inexperience with marketing/advertising, or they don't know the information yet, or they simply want to compete with other "pretty" websites without detail. As a busy person I need to know specific flight times for missions and training. Not interested in random flying or pick-up flying but rather well planned and organized missions and/or training sessions.
  5. Nice website, but couldn't easily find a way to make application or communicate.
  6. What aircraft are recruits flying to qual basic training? What time of the week/weekend will be wing missions?
  7. ... until the Hornet arrives? If so, what times day/night is wing training and missions? Go carrier ops! Spasibo/thank you!
  8. Hey IceFire, what times and days/nights will wing training and missions be scheduled? Thanks!
  9. Thanks very much guys!
  10. Any English speaking SU-33 squadrons? How do these two a/c, 33 & 18, compare with each other?
  11. Fascinating Korean conflict with Migs & Sabres. I'd like to join in but hesitant to simply jump in and embarrass myself - if not different from many others feeling same way. It there are those with experience who could orient or provide a little training and prep for missions that I could fly wing with, would be helpful. I understand there aren't any online squadron's flying cooperative type missions? I'm comfortable flying the Sabre guns and rockets, but not so much navigation no bombing experience. I'm a long-time online veteran of Falcon BMS & DCS A-10C. Thank you
  12. Any kind of jet that enables launching and trapping on a carrier gets my blood pumping and add a2a & a2g capability is close to living the dream.
  13. Pity there's only one vfa using the FA-18 mod of which I'm aware. The 113th guys are great but fly their missions Friday nights when I'm unavailable. :(
  14. Not entirely true. Some expect you to perform more than basic skills and if you don't do well within a certain period of weeks in kill ratio you're kicked, e.g., Black Knights ("Pilot Candidates who are accepted into the squadron are done so conditionally under a 90-day observation period.") and there's no training. Believe me this experience was very disappointing. They want a commitment of at least 2 yrs, but they don't commit to you unless you live up to their unspecified expectations, which they are free to do but won't tell you until you're kicked - just so you know. Other squadrons you have to learn yourself going through training modules on your own with little one on one training - which is pretty boring and or requires a lot of motivation on your own. This also makes it more difficult to integrate into the squadron meeting very few people while going through weeks of training. On the very positive side there are several squadrons that are happy and friendly and great people to train under and enjoy. It will take time. Ask questions, be clear on expectations, ask for recommendations on this forum or PM.
  15. Too bad there seemingly not many pilots out there like us looking for a KW group.
  16. I'd also enjoy a KW era group. Remember the Mig Alley sim yrs back? I'd like to see a KW map too and with carrier ops utilizing the F9F Panther. That would be a dream for me.
  17. I know of two squads using DCS mods for carrier ops - VFA-113 Stingers & VFC-141 Vigilantes. Unfortunately for me they both meet on Friday nights for their wing missions when I cannot meet. So, does anyone know of other squads using DCS mods for carrier ops? I know, DCS is working on the F/A-18 & carriers, but until then would really enjoy flying the mods now with a group of carrier operation enthusiasts. Thanks very much for anyone with info on other squads based on DCS carrier ops?
  18. What kind of radio simulator do you use interacting with TS3 & DCS, Aries, UniverseRadio, etc? Also what map are you using - Caucasus, NTTR, or both for your mandatory Sunday missions?
  19. Thx BIGNEWY, but the cmd prompt process gets a little too complicated for me.
  20. Unsure what you mean by trying the module mngr. A-10C, FC3, Frogfoot, & P51 loaded automatically & listed in module mngr Installed. I've done the licence check & it says activated.
  21. No fix I'm aware of - not seen any solutions yet.
  22. A-10C & FC3 loaded automatically into beta, but not Sabre & Mig 15 :( Still looking for answers. Thx
  23. Started all over uninstalling both World & Beta, & Saved Games. Reinstalled them again A-10C, Sabre, & Mig 15 installed without issue in World (43180). A-10C automatically installed, but same exact issue trying to install Sabre & Mig 15 in Beta - no go. Message popped up: "DCS World 1.2.16.43180 must be installed." Pulling my hair out - most upsetting. Done everything I know to do.
  24. Uninstalled & reinstalled Open Beta, now the same message "DCS World 1.2.16.43180 must be installed." comes up to install A-10C - so it's just getting worse. So, I'm uninstalling everything - World & Open Beta including everything in Users/saved games. What a fiasco!
  25. Thx again Bignewy. Here you go. . . autoupdate_log.zip
