  1. No problem! You can now use that and implement it in your own mission. Good luck with your endeavors. Fly safe
  2. Here you go. Got a track that matched perfectly. I don't know if its just me doing something wrong but once I switch to infantry, George about 7KM out, wouldn't lase to update the range. I kinda spammed the fire button towards to end but he should have updated it sometime in between. I know for sure he would have updated it as soon as I switched to a Hellfire. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to do their job, just as a user, it feels frustrating when he won't update the range like shown in the track. Hope this helps Georgenotupdaterange.trk
  3. So in the mean time you would rather it just not work on some occasions? They could add it and you just not use it.
  4. Is that the DCS replay system? Beca use mine are never consistent. I've had one where I crashed in the first 3 minutes of the replay but it never happened. Anyways is it not a reasonable idea to have a command to tell George to fire the laser to update the range to the target? When you have Kilo Hellfires it's not a problem because he just fires when you switch. If you have Limas he likes to wait longer than I'd like in combat situations.
  5. I'd rather not have a work around. I'd rather have a command to tell him to update his range.
  6. Well I usually play single player I believe you can spawn missions through the f10 menu. People taking all the targets before the A10s can get there is why a lot of people don't fly the A10 online.
  7. Would be nice to add a command for George to lase something. There have been time where I select the gun for George, George will lase, the target will be too far, but George won't re-lase the target to get an updated range. There have been times I've passed over the target and George still says he can't fire because the range on the TADS says 4k. I have tried changing targets to get a re-lase and he just never does. Only way I got him to re-lase was by switching weapons, targeting something else, then switching back to guns. Next time it happens I'll post a track file. It doesn't always happen but it happens enough it's really frustrating.
  8. So basically you have to switch to your AGM-114K so George actives the laser to update the range is what I found I have to do. Was stuck at 4km last night so he wouldn't fire the gun. Switch to hellfires, he lasers, switch back gun and then he would engage. So maybe a George laser command would be nice.
  9. No problem. Again if you have questions I'll do my best to explain them. I'm not the best at explaining things.
  10. moving attack trigger.miz Since you know how to do the moving zone. What you do is create a route like shown. Make sure to delete the hostile units way point actions and add your own on the first way point. Set ROE to weapons hold and set last point to land at an air base. Add trigger actions to the hostile aircraft, icon looks like a quad drone. ROE - Weapons Free, Search then Engage, and last one switch way point to the landing point. If you have any question on the triggers let me know. I made a mission where you start in the air behind a mig29 in a f16. Once you get within 5miles or so the mig will either attack or return to base. I made a message popup to see if my triggers were working so you dont need them. If you dont have the f16 just replace it with something you do have.
  11. Could you use triggers and advance waypoint actions? Like once you hit that trigger there is a chance for that action to activate. I'll look at it when I get home and see what I can come up with.
  12. Yeah I've had the issue with George refusing to fire the gun for me mainly. He will say firing but won't. Even as we fly past the targets, sometimes he just won't fire. I think it's because he doesn't refire the laser to get range again so he still thinks we are 4km away even though we were like 2km away.
  13. Can this be played solo or would it be too hard?
  14. Hey fellow Apache pilots. I was just curious your opinions on what makes a mission good.
  15. Zoom in man. To actually see the units and what not you have to zoom in close on the mission editor. Unless you did like the invisible FARP, well then it's invisible.
  16. Okay well if anyone finds the same issue. Use mission goals and the campaign builder.
  17. I was curious if this is something that can be done. Example: Say I create a campaign, depending on the score at the end of a mission, the next mission would be selected based on it. Example would be if they scored a 0, the next mission would have the enemy resupplied. If they scored a 50, the mission would have less enemy units. If they scored 100, the next mission would move on to another objective. Is this something that can be done with the editor? Or do I have to start learning how to script?
  18. I just ran into this as well. But mine was air defense 80-90%. I believe I've ran into it twice. Once when I was trying to take out the SA-10 at Bander Lengeh. SA-10 was active, told wingman to attack air defense. He turned around to go kill the Rapiers for some reason. Launched my HARMs with TALDs before hand. Wingman killed the Rapiers and the SA-10 just like disappeared. 2nd time told a group to go SEAD Bravo hoping they'd attack the SA-10 or SA-6. No they attacked the Rapiers again. Went all the way to Bander-e-jask to find no SA-10.
  19. okay cool, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. I've played DCS long enough to know the AI isn't all that great. Fingers crossed they improve it before they release their own dynamic campaign. I've also found out you have to be careful tanking yourself. I've had the AI run into me while trying to refuel. It's like they give priority to AI even if I'm in the process already. Stupid question though. If I take off and then land immediately but don't do the debrief until after Devil 2-5 complete their mission, will what they do matter or does it save when you first land?
  20. @Sandman Simulations Air refueling seems to be an issue. I have lost at least 1 hornet per run on my attempts on the counterattack mission. It seems when 4 flights try to refuel it causes issues. I didn't see what happened since I was doing my own thing. When I send Devil 2 and 3 at the same time, it always seems like Devil 2 is way ahead and dies. It seems Devil 2 will pick the closest refueling aircraft while Devil 3 has to go far. I don't know maybe I'm doing something wrong.
  21. Yeah I kinda agree, they are really good and I believe its because they just have so many AGM-65s. I would look at the F10 map and see like 10+ AGM-65s flying in the air. The name of the mission I believe was Taking Back the Harbor. Not including the training mission, there were 5 missions before it. They just like flew right over. They could have been out of Air to Ground Ordinance but it didn't look like they were going into a dive for a gun run. Whether you do something or not the A-10s are great for the mission imo, they ensure you don't get major losses on the front line. It allows you to focus on another mission if need be. For me the only time we ever really pushed the frontlines was when I sent 1-2 units to provide CAS. They probably just need to be toned down a little but idk. I'll have to give it another run when I'm done with this campaign. It's really fun and I'll be on the lookout for more of your work. I'll say one of the best/funniest moments I saw was early in the campaign I saw a refueler on the north side of UAE dodging missile after missile from a MiG-29 with no flares. It was after I landed on the carrier and was watching the debrief. PS: is it required to land on the carrier or can I land on any friendly air field?
  22. I just did my own SEAD/DEAD on the SA-6 and I believe this is the issue. They didn't turn on the radar til I was roughly 30KM from Bandar Lengeh. Devil 3 probably didn't see the SA-6 on so it went after the AAA and Rapiers. Just looking to help make the campaign better with feedback on what I see. Also I watched as a squad of A-10s all die to the same AAA gun one after the other lol. So yeah DCS AI can be pretty stupid lol
  23. @Sandman Simulations First off great campaign, it feels pretty dynamic in the DCS sense and doesn't feel empty. I do have an issue with SEAD at point bravo. Devil 3 was supposed to do SEAD on the SA-6 at Bandar-Lengeh, but decided to attack the AAA that are stationed on the little islands in between. Sirri and Abu Musa I believe. I was under the assumption that the AI SEAD would choose the largest air defense target to conduct SEAD on. Me: OCA/ Lar AFB Devil 2: CAP B Devil 3: SEAD B Devil 4: Ship Strike Devil 5: OCA/ Bandar-Lengeh Air Superiority: 50-60% Air Defense: 60-70% I usually just tell them to engage bandits and follow up if they need it.
