  1. Hello, I have really enjoyed DCE probably the most out of all "dynamic campaigns" because of the data tracking and it popping up after every mission. I was curious if it was possible to create my own campaign or not? If so, are there any resources available to learn? I've tried searching the forums and couldn't find anything. I was interested in creating a USSR Afghan war and GWOT campaign if it's not too difficult to do and possible. Thank you for your time. Have a good day.
  2. Sorry Bud, didn't see this. I figured it out. At first I couldn't get clone zones to be requestable but I just missed the paragraph talking about ownership of a zone being needed for it to work. Originally I was just going to use a spawn zone and wiper to remove stuff but I figured it out. What I'm doing, slowly, is you request x6 soldiers. You transport them to a Camp/FOB, that adds a number to a flag. Once that flag hits a certain number it reset so you can deliver more units. Once that flag hits that number it also produces an assault group made of armor units is activated to attack a zone. Now my new problem is I can't get the assault group to use roads on captureAndHold orders. They just use they same formation they spawned in. I also didn't want them to continue attacking. I wanted them to hold it, but I may just have to wipe them and spawn a new group for defense to act like they transitioned to defense. Which now talking about it sounds better than them just being on the road. So thanks for the help.
  3. I couldnt find it but can you use the order captureAndHold and have them use the roads? I know in attackedOwnedZones they will but I don't want them to continue on. Could I maybe give multiple attackZone orders? If this isn't available, is it a possibility to add in a later update?
  4. Ehh my ideas aren't that great. One I was doing was something like "Air Control" from the Arma 3 DLC "Reaction Forces" using only the ME and dcs scripting. It would randomly enable different missions. Like delivering troops to outpost or saving a convoy from an ambush. The other lower chance mission were delivering SOF troops behind enemy lines with an active SA-2(i believe) and troops in the area or finding and eliminating hostile SOF forces in friendly territory. Other missions I wanted to add was delivering supplies, attacking and defending outpost. It's just a lot of work. I also make missions based on what my interest are and those change, so I tend to not finish stuff.
  5. I'm not asking for help I do all my own research, I'm mainly asking so I know when I need to update the modules. I use discord much more often than I use DCS forums.
  6. Do you have a discord channel or do I have to check the forums? Just getting into DML and so far so good. I'm currently trying to create a mission where you escort a supply convoy from Kandahar to Bost with stops along the way for Outpost. It is set during the Soviet Union Afghanistan War.
  7. Any reason why this was happening? I just had to restart and havent captured April yet. It also doesnt feel like I'm getting my rewards when I land in a Blue control zone
  8. When using the circleToAll LineType 4 and 6 seems to be coming up the same for me. Is this a known issue that I missed or am I miss understanding the two dashes. I assumed it was like the drawing options. I've included a mission to show the difference as well as a screenshot, kinda hard to tell though. CircleToZone.miz

  10. Because people want to make a weapons practice range where they don't have to restart the mission or land to rearm. Why are you worried about what people are doing in a SANDBOX GAME.
  11. Well I restarted and it fixed everything. I don't believe I had anything to repair unless it wasn't being reported. I'm an idiot though so it could have been a user error. It also could have been DCS funkiness. Anyways thanks for the mission, as someone who flies helicopters mostly, I'm enjoying being able to do some Helicopter A2A. I will say in my opinion, some the hostile Hinds fly too high; I wouldn't be flying 11.5k ft close to air defense or hostile units lol. I know how hard it is to get AI to fly the correct height though. Bonus: My favorite A2A kill so far was in the Gazelle on a JF17 flying evasive because of the air defense.
  12. Yeah it was blue. I did not start over from 1.01 to 1.02 if that matters. I do remember them spawning in .01. They spawn around the TACAN if I remember correctly. I tried a couple ways, going to spectator for 30 seconds, spawning at NAL airfield first, and spawn there and sat for 30 seconds. I even re downloaded the mission and replaced it. Hope the screenshot helps my case. My next step would be to restart, but I wanted to see if there was something not triggering right first. If its too blurry, the time says 06:31:29.
  13. A FARP needs utility vehicles or structures to rearm and refuel if I am not mistaken. I can still can't rearm or refuel at the April FARP due to this. I added a bluefor m939 heavy for ammo and a hemtt refueler at farp april for a temp solution.

  16. Dope I can't wait. I've been keeping an eye out for updates. Not big deal, thanks for the heads up. Been looking for a reason to get back into the F-18. I really appreciate all the hard work and effort you put into it. I'm working on creating a dynamic battlefield using Moose, so I can understand how much work you put into it.
  17. Am I doing something wrong then? I'm trying to get a Tu-160 to launch 6 cruise missiles at Senaki's Ammo area. The cruise missiles are just going into orbit until they run out of fuel(didn't stay long enough to test). Out of the 6 targets, the Tu-160 only launched 5 (fixed this by recreating target 6). Out of the 5 launched this iteration, none of the missiles reached the target; Sometimes only 1 will hit. I did a test with 12 targets, 11 launched and 3 hit the target. It seems very inconsistent. I've tried different ways to do it. By adding advance waypoint actions and they current way by using trigger actions. CruiseMissileBug.trk Battle for GA.miz
  18. Holy cow that is some serious testing, I'm impressed. I'm currently out of town visiting family but will be back on the 3rd. I'll take a look at those tracks since I'm curious to see them take out the SA-10. AI usually never gets enough altitude for the harms to get the speed to defeat the SA-10. I was afraid that would be the issue. Take your time for your own sanity. I know how much work it is. I've only been around DCS for about a year now so I'm not going anywhere. I still have faith ED will improve the AI, I just think that is probably 5 years out or so. Like I believe their focus is getting the game to perform better. Can have the best AI in the world but if your performance is terrible, you won't be able to have that many AI to start with. They do need to fix the broken AI stuff, like getting stuck in the runway or the AI on the super carrier is awful as well.
  19. I'm was an air defender when I was in the military. I worked with the Sentinel radar, Patriot(at ADAB), and C-RAM. In Patriot, we didn't always have people radiating but the US operates different than most countries. We always assume to have air superiority, so as Patriot we only cared about TBMs and ARMs. Just to give my background, not that it matters since this is just a game lol Anyways yes I agree with the reasoning of it them being off. Again I'm just trying to understand the triggers and goals so I can accomplish what I want to happen. Now that I understand they only active on a blue aircraft and not TALDs I believe I have a better understanding of what I need to do. Thanks again, just trying to get some clarification on what's needs to get certain results. Like now I know as CAS to focus a group instead of just taking out things at random. I love the campaign, it's what I'm looking for ED to do. I just wish it wasn't just the hornet but I know how much work you put into this. I've made my own missions and messed about with moose and mist. I'm just not as good or patient enough as you guys. By the way, have a Happy Holidays whatever you celebrate.
  20. Thanks again it could just be a AI wingman devil 1-2 issue and not you at all. Maybe I'll just fling 9 Talds in that direction. Would Talds active it as well or would I need to get closer to active it and then launch the Talds? I'm just not sure if it counts as an aircraft
  21. Okay that's understandable for CAS. I just wanted to know whats needed to count as being destroyed. Just knowing the amount that needs to be destroyed will help a lot. The particular situation I was in just sucked because the AI wasted all those weapons just to not kill a ship, especially since there were already juicy ground targets. This was my most important question because I just wanted to know what was require of me to get the results I wanted. The SEAD issue is probably just a skill issue but.... For the SEAD the problem area is around Sirri AFB. I'm setting up a mission where I have 2-CAP B, 3-SEAD B, 5-OCA Strike Bandar Lengeh. My load out was 2xHarms and 6x TALDS, wingman was Harms and Aim120s. I understood if 3 didnt strike the SA-10 because I believe they got into a dog fight or the SA-10 wasnt on at the time. I went in close to activate the SA-10 and launch my TALDs. Made a loop back launched my HARMs then old wing man to and he went after the Rapiers lol. Then 5 got shot down so I just quit because I didnt like the results lol. I'll give it one more go with a different strategy, I'll see if I can go in with CAP just to get the SA-10 active, then give 3 the command to start mission. It's not that big of a deal since I could just bomb the Rapier site to get the AD% to 80-90 and the SA-10 from that Airfield will be gone. I was just trying to go for the immersion factor and take out the biggest AD unit first. It's more of my frustration with the AI, it's not just DCS though. I've been having problems with friendly AI in Arma 3, it is also stupid.
  22. So what is considered losses on the enemy side? Do we have to destroyed the entire group for it to count for anything? A convoy of vehicles was reduced to all but 2 vehicles and it reported the ground units suffered no losses lol. The AI target a ship with two mavericks and a LGB and fucked off, didn't even kill it. Is there any reason to do CAS at all because it sure doesn't feel like it. (have track) For the SEAD issues it is once again the AI going after the stupid Rapiers. The SA-10 was active I can promise you since I launched HARMs on it, told my wingman to attack air defense and it chose to go after the Rapiers instead. (dont have track)
  23. What are you on about? I fly with both eyes open, the ihadds just only shows in the right eye, which is fine because its not hard to still see or aim. Also had to use one eye NVGs while I was in the Army, do you really think I just kept one eye open? lol. My comment was only used to inform others that if you run into the issue of the Ihadds being off in VR, what worked for me was to display it in one eye.
  24. Index user here. Mine was off centered to the right on "both eyes". Had to change to right eye only for it to be almost perfect.
  25. I plan on building a new PC soon since my lagging rather behind. I want to be able to play VR, mainly play solo. I currently have a parts list put together of major stuff I'd like. I'm also willing to replace parts if there is something more recommended. I also need assistance with selecting a case and PSU. The amount of cases there are is just overwhelming to me.
