I’ve had the same issues with the Harrier, I’ve read quite a few post saying that the Harrier used to be over powered and there was an adjustment made to it and that it’s more realistic now but I can’t hover at much above sea level unless I’m almost out of fuel and no weapons. I get that it was designed for short take offs with a load but it seems a bit underpowered to me when trying to come back home for a vertical landing. I don’t think much can be done with it now because of the things going on so I’m going to be patient and hope for a good outcome.

I wish they could figure this out soon I want to buy it now. I love the air to ground and have the A10 and the Harrier but the F15E just looks amazing. Even though it may seem dumb I’m having a hard time not going ahead and buying it.

I changed my GUI scale from 1.25 to 1.0 and everything was fine. I have it at 1.25 so I can read comms menu and see messages a little better. It’s pretty small at 1.0 in 4 K

For me it was my GUI scale set at 1.25 when I changed it to 1.0 everything was fine it just a little harder for me to read comms menu so small in 4K

Just read some posts in general bugs and it’s not this campaign it’s dcs wide other people are seeing it some sort of GUI problem

Having same issues

Never had a dcs problem before but after update today when I tried to start mission 6 of campaign it starts to load properly but then goes into a weird stuttering and ends with a windowed screen kind of overlay. If I hit escape I’m in the jet in hanger and can hear other aircraft starting and can start jet but have no comms menu to request start up. It’s a little hard to explain what it’s doing.

I will check for numlock and try some different combinations of keys after work today.

The disable toolkit is not checked. I changed the default keybinds to the numpad keys because it was easier for me to find them with headset on. What’s happening is I get the headset going then launch dcs and when I get to sign in screen a box is up with welcome to XR toolkit you can access menu anytime by pressing ctrl+ num2 which is what I set in the toolkit. So I press ctrl and can see it highlight in the toolkit box but when I press num2 it does nothing. The little XR toolkit box follows where I am looking. I started and instant action cold and dark and the box is still with me but the ctrl + num 2 just still won’t do anything. I have played in vr when I first got the headset a couple days ago by watching a tactical pascale video and used the meta app and oculus tray tool. Then after watching a Afty86 video about setting up dcs with the open XR toolkit I tried that. All went well until I was not able to get the menu once I was in the sim. Not sure if the OpenXR toolkit would do anything more for me than the tray tool I guess I’m just trying everything to get the best resolution and performance. I’ve been play on a 4 k monitor and I know vr will never be that but although it’s amazing it’s a little blurry for me with this headset. I don’t wear prescription glasses but I do have to wear 1.50 cheaters to play on a monitor and have good clear vision. I guess I may need some sort of prescription lens for a vr headset. I’ve read alot of post on vr and I know it’s going to be tough for a new vr guy to try and get going with it but it’s just so amazing I’m going to keep trying. Anyway thank you for the reply

Trying to get Open XR toolkit to work in vr. When DCS starts I get a box that says to hit ctrl + num2 to see menu but it won’t come up. I have tried many different keys but can’t seem to get the settings menu to come up. Just starting my vr journey so have much to learn. My rig is a 12400, 3090, 64 GB, m.2, quest2 Any advice would be much appreciated

I’m having same problem, I just purchased this campaign and set up a little practice mission at same FOB and cannot land vertically. Getting ready to start campaign and have read nothing but good about it.

I’m sorry I didn’t give much info there did I. When I first put the card in and got it going I still had my 1440 monitor hooked up. With settings turn up on high on everything in free flight 140 to 180 fps. I’ve just really found that with Trk ir anything other than 60 and I get micro stuttering when I turn my head. After I got the 4k 60hz monitor hooked up I set my fps to 60 in nvcp and can turn up all settings DCS and have no problem keeping it at 60. I have tried dlss and it looks good with a small a small amount of ghosting on external fly bye. My gpu runs at about 75 to 85 percent with those settings. DLAA looks a little better with the gpu hitting 85 to 100 percent at times but it looks amazing but also has ghosting on fly bye. I can’t even imagine what a 4090 can do. The dlss and dlaa settings do have a little motion blur when using tgp and fly bye but it to me is worth it for the AA that I’m not seeing anymore. I don’t know what fps I would get if I just let it run on 4k and not cap it at 60 because I haven’t tried it. It just looks amazing now.

I’ve been flying since the Falcon 3.0 days with a bit of a break but flying DCS for about the last 2 years a lot. The machine I first used was a hand me down from my son that was about 8 years old with a 1070 gpu and it worked ok. I upgrade pretty quick to a b 660 motherboard a 12400 cpu and a 3070 on a 1440p monitor and it worked much better but did have some stuttering and other issues at times. Just this XMas I picked up a 3090 for 500 dollars from a friend of my sons and upgraded to 64 gb ram and 4 k 60hz monitor with same motherboard and cpu and am just blown away by how it runs dcs. It’s absolutely beautiful. I read about problems some are having and feel bad for them and truly hope all can get it figured out. I wish I could give advice but not nearly knowledgeable enough to offer anything but I see many on here that are trying to help. That gpu and 4k monitor did it for me along with some of the settings I’ve been able to learn about on this forum. I know there are some issues but to me this sim is truly amazing.

In your hud I see your weapon is in the ALN READY mode, that happened to me during the Operation Persian Freedom Campaign. A mission called for my flight of 4 to attack targets on our initial run in which was long and straight. The GBU would switch from RDY to ALN RDY because of flying straight and level for too long. After a 360 turn back onto target in would launch. I’ve also read that rocking your wings or a 90 degree change of direction will work to get back to RDY.

I’m on mission 7 of this campaign and had those troubles a couple of times as well. What I was doing wrong was asking for clearance before I reached the IP position. After I made sure that I was at the correct position before pressing space bar to get clearance all has worked well for me. Hope this may help a bit, good luck, Im really enjoying the campaign.

I also had difficulty with this mission. Finally finished mission yesterday. I took out manpads early and had wingman engage air defenses. One of my big problems was the Trucks heading south they were hard to spot and track and they would always unload troops and I would mission fail. The weather is difficult because I had to stay below 14000 to be below cloud deck. I concentrated on those trucks after I got the call and was able to destroy them and then could work on the rest of the targets in the area. This is my first campaign and on mission 17 now. Baltic Dragon is amazing and how they can build these campaigns is way past me I’m just happy they do it. I absolutely love the A10. Good luck on your mission.
