LOL... phone support for a game LOL. Hey EA, how about some phone support! HA Ha. Best way to get help is to ask here on the forum buuuuuuuuuuuuuddy. Man, 497 posts... ya would think he'd get that.

OK thanks everyone.... I think I will try it out and report back if there is any difference.

I recently got a 5770 Radeon and was looking at the specs of it and my 4890 that Im currently using.... the memory and GPU speeds are very similar. Im wondering if there would be a worthwhile performance gain by switching cards... otherwise Ill sell the 5770 and save up for a NVidia card (im thinking of trying 3D out) thanks for your input

i didnt patch and the sim runs fairly well other than the stutters. hardly any crashes for me.

yup Harm, I finally tweaked mine to where I want it after some crappy handling of the Y axis. I kept the saturation at full but put the curve up around 60. I use the X65 and have found it kinda needs this much curve to make the stick act correctly for pulling out after a gun run and just to fine tune flying to what i consider correct stick inputs.

Operation Surf-N-Turf- Coop 8 player

OK a couple of final tweaks and she is running well. I have killed as many as 18 enemies in 1 pass at target point 5 by dropping 2 - 4 CBUs on them. Its very fun... Ive never done that before in any flight sim. Its also challenging because where they are located the road has a curve in it and you must make a banking pass at fairly low altitude (due to the high wind conditions). Love to hear some feedback. Does anyone use facetrack?
jeffyd123 replied to tyrspawn's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
i tried face track and it worked but it was like i was drunk. it kept wandering around. I was using a high end camera with a lot of light (a 150 W spotlight actually) on my face (yes it sucked). Too bad... I really had high hopes for it. I too was forced to break down and become a Borg with a TIR but the dam thing works great. -
thanks Mods!!!! Mucho apreciado!

Great job Dark and a great community addon... thank you very much! I was going to get helios but I felt $70 + another $20 for the instruments was too much considering that there are several instruments that aren't working (ED not exporting the data for them). Got 2 questions... Does this work on touch screens? Do you have any instructions on how to make other instruments work too?

Hi all... I have taken some parts of Red baron's excellent G940 profile and made up a quick reference HOTAS layout. Red Baron did a REALLY EXCELLENT job of burning the functions of the HOTAS buttons into our overloaded minds... thanks Red Baron! Hope it helps our new pilots learn the muscle memory a bit quicker. It will print on an letter sized piece of paper. The large version shows where the buttons are on the Warthog and uses 2 pages (thanks eddiejb for the new version!) Comments are welcome Jeff A-10C Graphical Hotas Small.pdf A-10C Graphical Hotas Large.pdf

Well i tried this in MP last night and it sort of worked.... I did the keys and when i unpaused the game i was stuck in one position! After hitting W again i was still stuck for about 10 seconds before the brakes let go. My friend flying on my server couldnt get it to work. Hmmmmmmm

The mission has a few tweaks/addons done to it.... The original file in the post above has been changed. Comments are welcome. -
does this work on A-10?
-
It could be implemented without too much work by making the "W" stay on by toggling it. maybe this could be done in the GC menu or possible by double tapping "W".
-
I guess that the real A10 doesnt have a parking brake... so be it. In real life, the ground crew puts on chocks.... got it. But in the sim the plane moves around a lot if there is wind or whatever and there is no way to stop the plane.... yes its irritating and yes it should have a brake to compensate for the ground crew not being able to put down chocks. PLEASE PUT THIS IN A FUTURE PATCH.... thanks Jeff

My initial concerns/problems with DCS a-10
jeffyd123 replied to tyrspawn's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
heres a bunch of missions..... http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=140 -
EDIT: Have got a request to increase enemy strength in the mission... There are now 70 more units for a total of about 150 units... See below. It is version #5. This would be appropriate for more than 4 or 5 players in Coop... or if you have a whole afternoon to kill in SP LOL. 10 Player Coop & Single Player 6 Target Areas - approximately 85 enemy units in version 4... about 150 in version 5 Mavericks and CBU 97 loadouts Takeoff from Batumi (re-arm, refuel and repair works). >>Wind and turbulence are very strong so your'e in for a bumpy ride. >>CCIP bombing will require low level (5,000 MSL or less) I have added a column of 18 Abrams tanks that will attack targets 1 - 5. >> Protect this column at all costs Have also added a command element hiding in a canyon (steerpoint 2 = TARGET). Best method is to fly up and down the coast searching for targets 1 -5. >>Take out SAMs first then heavy armor to protect our armored column. hope it works OK... have tested it with about 5 pilots and it ran good. adapted Operation Pushback 1.2 from Cougar Jeff Surf-N-Turf - COOP-10-v4.miz Surf-N-Turf - SP v4.miz Surf-N-Turf - COOP-10-v5.miz
