I have given up on the ESP32. I found a mini-Mega that I am trying to use. I have copied the code from the forum here and used the mega specific code line. In IDE it verifies fine, but when I try and upload it never completes the upload? This is the code that I am trying to load, see attached. Any help here. The DED is turning into my longest and hardest pit upgrade yet. DED Arduino Code for MEGA.pdf

Why was the AN/AAQ-28 Litening Pod section of the F-16 Viper Manual deleted with the addition of the AN/AAQ-33 Advanced Targeting Pod? Also how long is the F-16 going to be considered Early Release?

I cannot get my ESP 32 S2 Mini to boot load correctly to change the port. I can load the Code with Arduino IDE, but before it is finished the COM port drops off. I am getting very frustrated with trying to get my DED to work. I am at the point now where I just want to use a Mega and go from there, but I am confused with the tread on what code to use for the Mega. Can someone help me out here.

I am using a ELEGOO 3PCS ESP-32 Development Board USB-C, 2.4GHz Dual Mode WiFi+Bluetooth Dual Core Microcontroller for Arduino IDE, Support AP/STA/AP+STA, CP2102 Chip and 3.12 inch OLED Display Module 256 * 64 OLED Display Module 7-Pin SPI Interface SSD1322. My computer does not recognize the ESP32 as a com port but as a CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller, so I cannot load the code from Arduino IDE. Read thru this entire blog and still confused. Not sure I have the right code and not sure if I have the right pin connections. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the code any different for the ESP32? What would be the pin out?

I have been flying the F-16 primarily, but I am pretty sure that the weapons have a single model that are used on all aircraft that have that capability. I noticed that the GBU-38 have M904 fuse in the nose of the bomb. This is not correct to the use of the JDAM series of bombs. I have loaded most all of the versions of the JDAM in the GBU-38 and GBU-31 family. These bombs use electric fuzes and always have a nose cap on the bomb. I have attached pictures for reference. The GBU-54 which is a 500lb Mk-82 bomb that has both GPS and Laser guidance is a bit different as it has a seeker on the nose of the bomb.

I agree that there needs to be more campaigns for the F-16. I has been a workhorse for the USAF and many countries worldwide. Still a lot of folks are flying the jet within DCS. I am new to the DCS community so I have no skills to create a campaign.

I don't know if it is just me or the I'm doing something wrong. The guide says that for takeoff and landing you should put the targeting pod in standby to stow the pod to prevent damage. Well I never see the pod in a stowed configuration. The seeker head unit should be turned 180 degrees so that the glass is facing the back of the pod. I never see this. During rearm and refuel and changing the configuration of the aircraft and installing a pod you always see the seeker head with the glass. Any chance that this can get fixed? -
I have never been able to get the map to display with F10. Not sure what is going on or if there is no map available for the missions I fly as a new flyer.

I there any work being done to add the AN/AAQ-33 Advanced SNIPER Pod? Having been in the USAF for more years than I want to count, I know that for most USAF units that use targeting pods the SNIPER is the preferred pod. F-15E, F-16 and B-1 use the SNIPER over the LITENING. LITENING is primary for A-10 and B-52.
