  1. Calling it baseless is uninformed. And I have not seen anybody denying/contradicting the bullet points.
  2. The exact date I discovered people have to do their own research on each 3rd party developer and module pre-purchase instead of assuming equal quality.
  3. Example of it firing when I'm already dead from yesterday, that reminded me of this bug. fagot_keeps_firing.mp4
  4. Basically, if you have your trigger pressed when blacking out, you'll end up with an empty magazine. Also, when recovering from black-out the button-release does not register so you have to manually shoot to have it release. If I get shot when I'm firing, I see my aircraft emptying its clips while it is falling to the ground.
  5. Which version(s) of the F-5E are affected? As in; can people de-install the remastered or buy the FC version as a fallback?
  6. So does it only affect the people flying the F-5, or also people flying close to the F-5? (as the outside view has the same framerate-halfing)
  7. Somehow the conversation has changed to BFM and giving VR players the same super-human abilities that would in real life injure them. My original post was about limiting view towards the front on high G, like in real life. Also people posting leisure-flights as counter arguments to this:
  8. "to minimize the need to look around manually" HUD showing where the enemy is:
  9. It is specifically about turning your head while under heavy G-load. https://chatgpt.com/share/67082a44-7aa4-8002-a605-d2d71c6df01d
  10. Yeah, you can easily tell by people's situational awareness if they are snapping (unless they have GCI). But there is nothing like the experience of dog fighting with VR and I will never want it any other way.
  11. I'm more talking about this: Instead of blacking out as tunnel-vision, also black out the parts that you would not be able to see.
  12. I'm familiar with that from IL-2 that limits movement within the canopy. Yet giving audio/visual 'pain' feedback urging the player to stay within realistic abilities and masking the view outside the realistic field of view would make for more simulator-like dogfighting situations.
  13. So players are currently able to check their six under these conditions: I know this is a game, but 'G-effects' option should include limiting the abilities that will literally break your neck in reality. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14736136/
  14. Bump.
  15. Updated and tried ECW-slotting again after about a month. Slotting problem seems fixed. There still is a process eating 100% of a single core, but it does not block the rendering. off-topic: I have had troubles with the launcher since its existence giving me errors and (for example) saying I'm not logged in, but when I start it anyway the game shows I'm logged in and all modules are available.
  16. @BIGNEWY Why is the title changed to 'spotting' instead of 'slotting'?
  17. Previously spotting felt like a cheat in my low-res VR. I could just fly really high and spot anything (like helis between trees) on the ground as thick black dots. I actually like the new no-spotting-dots better, but it should be something in between.
  18. Might have been coincidence for me. After three hours of playing the issue came back for me and my squad members.
  19. So @PatatOorlog suggested that I remove SuperCarrier from my installed modules, which is crazy, but it worked immediately in joining ECW. @BIGNEWY
  20. Yeah, I've spent every hour since the update trying everything. As I only play ECW, I basically have to wait for a patch.
  21. I tried disabling TacView, but that did not help. Trying a full repair now. Repair did not solve it. I made a recording, although I think it is easy to reproduce:
  22. You now choose coalition and servers can opt-in on dynamic slots (which will solve this probably, as long lists of slots were not optimized in VR). dcs.log
  23. After selecting your coalition, the slotting screen is about 1 frame per minute. Some people without VR can get in by applying a filter, but with VR it is impossible to slot.
  24. With the adjusted graphical settings the stutter is gone; even when flying through the guts of the Phantom: Solution by @Rapierarch: PS Closest I have ever gotten to a Tomcat (not close enough to reproduce):
