I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question. I thought I remembered seeing something about being able to change the pilot's facial features. I think I saw this a while before release. Is there any substance to this? Is it already functional and I just missed it?

If the delay is only until tomorrow, I guess I can live with that. But to publish an actual release date only to delay it yet again is getting hard to take in stride. I think I am now developing a form of PTSD regarding the Phanton release. In the scope of life, this is a minor irritant, but it is an irritant all the same.

And Santa Claus is about to come down the chimney. Can't wait.

I guess this question would most likely be targeted at any beta testers or anyone using a pre-release version of the F-4. I'm currently using the Thrustmaster T16000M joystick and a Thrustmaster TWCS throttle. I'm sure that any profiles for other joysticks, throttles, etc would be most appreciated by everyone as well. I'm sure you'll get your wish. A release of the F-4 in late summer/early fall is probable based on HB's track record with this product.

A better question would be "Which year do we get an F-4?".

Based on track record, May 31 is highly optimistic. They'll find another show stopper bug and back the release off another couple of months. This may be an endless loop.

Sorry, but with the continuing F-4 fiasco, there will be no more DCS pre-orders for me. I'll wait till it's released and pay full price.

Who said "we are hoping it will be released winter '24"? If so, then these videos they have been releasing must be CGI or something.

Realize that a total re-write of significant parts of the F-4 have/are taking place and we will be fortunate to see a release by June.

A June release for Afghanistan? Haha, then they can release it at the same time as they release the Phantom.

After pre-purchasing the Phantom and the continual let downs and repeated delays, I will not be pre-purchasing any more products. I'll buy them when they are actually released, even without the minor discount. Using the Phantom as an example, that would mean we might see the Afghanistan map some time in 2028.

I think that we might see the Phantom released in May or even June. This prediction is not based on any concrete evidence, just a feeling.

Captain Obvious, that is indeed why I said I was speculating. And I would rather wait for a more complete module rather than some of the over-hyped, unfinished modules that we have received in the past.

I'm speculating now that they won't release the F-4 till May, or maybe even June. Clearly, there is a lot of work to do yet before release.

I had the same problem. I tried it a second time and it updated correctly. The cause may have been so many people trying to update at the same time.

Reading between the lines, I think this is telling us that we are still a couple of months away from release. Let's hope we see it by May or June.
