  1. It affects the menu everywhere, but can be easily changes as mentioned.
  2. Bummer..
  3. @Reflected I am playing mission 11, and use the option to skip refueling. I get the message "Fuel state frozen" with the "you lose" sound But, the fuel just continues to drain and I cannot complete the mission.. What am I doing wrong? has something changed with this option in recent updates? Thanks
  4. Here is my workaround, as the one mentioned by @draconus does not work for me. Open the file named 1Camera.lua, located in: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\MonitorSetup (if your installation path is the same as mine - default) Note, you need to use administrator access for this file. Add the following section at the bottom of the file: F14_JESTER_MENU = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1; height = 1; } Restart DCS and the Jester menu is gone from replays! (you must use width and height of 1 as 0 is ignored) To bring it back on to your next flight just remove this added section or use width=0, height=0 and this will revert to the default menu size. Hope that helps.. it enabled me to get my great screenshots!
  5. At the end after a lot of reading and youtubing, I have ordered the Butt Kicker Gamer Plus system. It has a special mount for office chairs and includes the amp. Will probably also buy the SimHaptic app to get all the effects.
  6. Thanks for the photo. My chair has no flat back so things are more complicated..
  7. Can you post a photo on how you have connected the BST-2 to the chair?
  8. Hi all To my ignorance I have just now become aware of the idea of bass shakers. I am playing with VR, and adding immersion by vibration seems really cool. I am looking around the web, and the Butt Kicker Plus seems like a great product, regarding software I have seen HaptiConnect, SimShaker and SimHaptic (probably there are more products I am not aware of) What is a good setup for DCS, hardware and software wise? Would love to get some beginners advice here.. (I have a normal office chair)
  9. Is there any way to remove the Tape/Wire/Plate from the ACM panel?
  10. After getting some weird ACLS final approaches, I started disconnecting the AP just when I can see the ball and fly it manually. Not sure if it's real or not, but makes the night landings more fun for sure
  11. mmm... I see the number 13 (for mission 9) Updating DCS now After update it's 14
  12. Also got failed for 8 even though I completed it and got the mission success message, and then for some reason was back mission 7 "Boats and Planes" Very strange, so I clicked "skip" twice, and now should start Mission 9. Not sure what's going on I hope it will let me finish the campaign..
  13. This also happens to me, as the ACLS will not be accurate enough to catch the wires and the LSO calls to bolter. I am wondering if I need to disengage the auto pilot when I call the ball and just continue with manual landing.. is this something that should be done?
  14. Was able to release from 6000-7000 ft. after 3 tries while releasing flares all the way down. Looking at Tacview, the missile was very close to hit..
  15. Was nice if the map was available only pre-mission, like sitting in a briefing room and viewing different mission aids. Modern briefing rooms do have digital maps with the known units, waypoints, flight paths etc, but you should not be able to look at it on the plane itself. I don't think fighter pilots take paper maps or tablets with them.
  16. I was wondering what the community thinks about using the F10 maps for missions. Clearly in the real world, a pilot will spend x3 of total mission time in the briefing room planning, learning the mission, the maps, routes, enemies, etc In DCS there is no briefing room to my knowledge, and we only have the F10 map that can be used while in the plane. But it makes me fill like I fake it when I look at the map, since it shows my location and sometimes the enemy location and more data then what would have been available in the briefing room pre-flight. Any thoughts? What is the best way to make everything fill real
  17. For me it became harder but feasible for sure. I guess it's now more real. Started noticing the weight, and had no problem landing on the deck at 38+ klb without wheel damage
