  1. Agreed, even in Enigma's Cold War server it can feel old at times
  2. The MSFS Miltech Chinook has the ability for you to see troops, cargo, boat, medevac in the back so I'm sure it's possible for DCS.
  3. Being able to replicate what Chinook can do in the real world would be the goal, I appreciate there's always going to be restrictions in what you can add or how it functions e.g. Defensive Aid Suite So roles wise be able to: Cargo – external: multi hook - not just centre hook, different loads on each, ideally a Jester voice guiding you into the USL, maybe also the visual que as per UH-1 Cargo – internal: Troops Parachute drops Vehicles Cargo pallets Forward refuelling (Fat Cow) Special forces: Fast roping Water landings - Although this is not allowed on F model Long range - appreciate not strictly an F as it's 'fat tanks' but being able to add internal tanks to increase range Pinnacle landing - flight model able to enable this Night Ops - NVG cockpit and goggles Air to air refuelling - appreciate not strictly an F model capability but still it would be cool to chase a C130 around Systems: DAFCS and CAS cockpit DAS with at least MAWS - Auto/Manual - Chaff, Flare, RWR, DIRCM would be great Weapons - Crew served weapons all all three positions, not just the left and right positions Hopefully the YT link is allowed:

    Fat Cow

Yes, they can fit up to three extended range tanks inside the cabin, fix on some pipes and controls and off you go, fuel other aircraft, tanks etc.
  6. Fast roping? Yes please +1
  7. Just watch the RAF Chinook air display to see how you can throw it around, certain units *Cough* may fly A - B in a relatively straight line, Chinook has the potential to be great fun to fly and perhaps somewhat easier than say the Huey, Hip etc.
  8. RAF Chinooks (UK) fly with two M134 miniguns mounted on either side as in @JetCat photo and an M60 on the Ramp. Would be a good setup to have although I've read that it's M60 to start with, not sure if that includes the ramp, hopefully it does! and the other options including M134 are being considered. The addition of M134 would be especially useful to help protect the cab and it's already in-game, although not in this crewed format on the Huey and the Gazelle.
  9. It would be good to have the option to fit EAPS, although other than cosmetics I'm not sure they'll impact much else depending how much detail they're adding to the model, for example the add more weight than regular screens. If they do, similar to the MSFS Miltech Chinook then you'll have to select the fans on during engine startup and monitor their status.
  10. For those in the know this is called the 'Pants-O-Graph' and that's being kind...
