  1. Un-ticked eye-tracking in the DCS VR settings, all good.
  2. I now have an issue with Necksafer (for openXR) messing up my quadviews. It was working fine last time I played (about two months ago). I've tried with both APIs in the top of the list. With Necksafer off, quadviews works perfectly but with it on the quadview window doesn't follow my focus past 45 degrees. The wings and everything behind are seeing the low-rez area outside of the hi-rez box. Only thing different is I updated the game to the current version. Anyone got any ideas? I asked Chat-GPT, wasn't much help. Lol.
  3. Confirming my decision to not touch the Super with a pole.
  4. Yep. Every YT reviewer who ever said "They freebied me this but they have no say on what I say but their product is genuinely the best on the planet (until I get a different free one) and pleez can haz morez".
  5. Just sent them a ticket. lol.
  6. Heat shut-down (or force-throttling caused by heat) is why I stopped using my Brunner FFB. Less than a minute of sustained full-rate turning in a dogfight and it was like the elevator cables had been suddenly severed. I hope the Moza does way better than that (mine is on order).
  7. I had the MFGs and they were great but my current TPRs are way better (for me).
  8. The shakers didn't get hot, the heat was caused solely by the plastic material. I was testing it in IL2 with SSW. I have two big bass-shakers on the cockpit floor (they weren't turned on) and the seats buzzers were never going to compete with those anyway.
  9. Lasted approx ten minutes of testing before it was back in the box and ready to be picked up for a refund. I ran it with Andre's software, all it did was mildly vibrate (intensity changed with engine revs, no gun effect I could discern, nothing on landing). Piss-weak and I became hot too, in just ten minutes. I also installed the native software but nothing in it for IL2. It's been out for nearly two years and they still haven't been arsed. I might try the Ushake-6 as that has proper transducers as opposed to this thing's buzzers but with two huge bass-shakers already mounted to the cockpit floor I'm not sure why I even bothered with the HF8. Bored I guess.
  10. So the HF8 works with USB with Simhaptics software? Does the software have specific settings for it? My HF8 is coming today and I guess I have three software options for it...the native NLR stuff, SSA and Simhaptics possibly.
  11. Does it work with SimHaptic?
  12. Which software are you guys using to have the NLR HF8 working in DCS?
  13. Still waiting for mine, I pre-ordered in July and it was supposed to come this month. I emailed them and it's been pushed back to November.
  14. Very nice hi-tech solution. Mine's neanderthal style. Two big boards, the bottom one has two side pieces between which the top one slides back and forwards with the stick, rudders and one of the bass-shakers. I did buy locking bolts but it turned out they're not needed.
  15. Unfortunately it's still "temporarily out of stock" (for nigh on a year now). Unacceptable behaviour. Purchase | Pimax | Ultraleap | Handtracking Module
  16. I think the best attitude to have towards any Pimax software is "Hope for the best, expect the worst".
  17. The integrated hand-tracking module is the biggest example, out of stock for almost a year and zero intention of making any more.
  18. Pimax can't be trusted to maintain supplies of accessories, much less adequate software, so it's a no from me.
  19. Nah, it's you buddy. Pimax are just (very wisely) integrating it into their software. Your work has made a night & day difference to the quality and performance of VR useage, for which you are a largely unsung hero.
  20. Oops, oh yeah. Thank you. Does the updater work in 1.29?
  21. Kind of a Catch-22 scenario. Might be a good idea in that case to provide a link here so people can do a manual update.
  22. I've held the trigger for ten seconds, just to confirm the guns weren't turned on. Guns on or off, the gun vibration effect was there. Not a biggie of course. Gmail didn't work for me and it didn't work for RKApps either. Whatever the reason. Protonmail did/does though. I do have a very vague (VERY vague) memory that it happened to me some years ago too and when I asked why it was because a lot of banned people were using gmail to setup alt accounts, so ED banned them. Or it was because of gmail spam-bots...
  23. I did that for a long time and then it started killing something else (can't remember what). So I dug out the hub (took me over an hour to find it, lol) and it fixed whatever the problem was. I've had this Crystal for well over a year now and still with all the issues. Updater doesn't work and you say "we're working on a fix"? Did you type that with a straight face? How long ago did the Crystal go on general sale and Pimax is still having to "fix" fundamental software components? And you want, or even expect, people to buy or upgrade to the Super?! Sure, a lot of people who have no experience in the field might buy one but there are sure as hell thousands who will say "when hell freezes over!" Pimax asked for a second chance, you blew it and you won't be getting any more from those who know the history.
  24. Something I noticed a while back (haven't played DCS for a few weeks), with guns in the Migs (15 and 21) the vibration activates when I pull the trigger but the guns aren't turned on (no tracers/rounds are seen/fired).
  25. Just checked and same, the updater in the Pimax app tells me I'm on the latest version (1.18). Just another reason why I won't be upgrading to the Crystal Super. They stop making advertised accessories and the software remains janky across the board (why does the pass-through continually turn itself off?).
