I actually get along quite well with the Z axis on the Gunfighter Stick.

Yes, I've seen it but have not tested it yet. Currently I use a VKB S-TECS as throttle which has an excellent quality. May be I'll check the S-TECS with a VKB Space throttle grip in the future which offers an additional Z axis. Atm I'm fine with the Z axis of the Gunfighter stick which offers an excellent quality too.

May be I should add to my comment that an important feature for me is the Z-axis for rudder on the stick because due to health issues I am not able to use pedals. Not all sticks offer this.

Rather sounds like an OS issue than a DCS issue to me. Did you try a system reboot?

I had a logitech x56 Hotas, but returned it after a few weeks because I wasn't satisfied with the quality. Then I bought a TurtleBeach VelocityOne Flight Deck Hotas which I used for about 3 months. It's much better than the X56 but I was looking for top notch. Then I bought the VKB Gunfighter IV ultimate in March which elevated joystick performance to a completely different level. Die cast aluminum shell, nice tactile switch feeling, customizeable into every imagineable direction, good tutorial videos, fast and kind customer support ect. completes the overall picture. Yes, also the price is another level but I didn't regret it a single second. Highly recommended.

Which graphics file viewer are you using for .dds in Windows?

Well, I had to do too much files clean up afterwork and/or exceptions to the normal procedures. As a result I decided that I am quicker when doing the mod management manually. It may not work for every one but it works better for me.

After trying OVGME and Open Mod Manager and cleaning up the mess they left I went back to manual mode.

My workaround is to store all cockpit liveries in their seperate folders and thrn copy the required cockpit to the default folder before starting DCS. Not sexy, but it works.

The rear view mirrors also do not show any rain drops when when it's raining on the canopy.

Anscheinend bin ich ja hier der letzte Mohikaner mit Intel CPU. Na ja, egal, Muss jeder für sich entscheiden. Ich bin mit der Performance jedenfalls sehr zufrieden. Vielleicht auch weil bei mir nicht die 12., sondern die aktuelle 14. Generation mit i9-14900K werkelt. Und dass der i9-14900K nebenbei noch als Zimmerheizung taugt, kann ich auch nicht bestätigen. Für die maximale Performance ist die CPU aber auch nur ein Faktor unter vielen. GCU, RAM, SSD, Board; Netzteil etc. sollten ebenfalls alle auf dem gleichen Niveau performen. Das schwächste Glied in der Kette bremst das gesamte System aus.

I bet we'll get a Mirage update soon. M2000 and Typhoon/Eurofighter would be great too but probability seems to be lower to me.

Ich habe meinen 15 Jahre alten Laptop im letzten November durch einen gamingtauglichen Desktop abgelöst (siehe meine Signatur). Zwar bin ich nicht mehr berufstätig, lege aber Wert drauf, dass neben Gaming auch sämtliche Officeanwendungen und andere kommerzielle Software soweit wie möglich ohne Kompatibilitätsprobleme läuft. Ich habe mich daher für einen PC mit Intel CPU und Nvidia GCU entschieden. Angeblich soll zwar die momentan aktuellste AMD Generation ein paar Prozentpunkte Geschwindigkeitsvorteile bieten. Aktuelle Benchmarktests zeigen da aber ein recht uneinheitliches Bild. Mal ist Intel vorn, mal AMD, jeweils immer nur mit ein paar Prozent, die im Betrieb wohl kaum wahrnehmbar sein werden. Gefühlt lese ich jedoch häufiger von AMD Usern mit Kompatibilitätsproblemen als von Intel Usern. Daher habe ich mich eben für eine Intel CPU und Nvidia GCU entschieden und habe es bisher auch nicht bereut. DCS und MSFS laufen jedenfalls sehr flüssig darauf.

Daran liegt es nicht. die Webseite ist tatsächlich nicht erreichbar. Hab's mit Chrome, Firefox und Opera getestet und vorher den Cache gelöscht. NB: gerade noch mal probiert - jetzt ist sie wieder da. Evtl. machen die einen Backup oder sowas und haben immer nur kurze Aussetzer.
