I would need to be a 3-dimensional sorting at least: per aircraft per terrain per mission .. plus with an override per sorting criteria: all aircrafts, all terrains, all missions

As I play DCS on a 32:9 screen the MFDs do not block as much screen area as on a 16:9 screen and moving/rezising the center MFD already helps too. At least your solution works for the F/A-18. However as I fly AH-64, F-16, A-10C and several other mods I'd prefer a common approach which ideally does not break IC too. Unfortunately there doesn't seem a solution available yet. I even do not see how to adapt your solution for my preferred mod F-16C.

That's it. It works ! Thanks. btw: in my case it's some of the official F-16C training lessons which came with the modul.

As an engineer I don't want to join in fruitless disputes - please forgive me. I rather spend my time snooping through the DCS software jungle. After some trials it seems the issue is not based within DCS core. The "forgotten" snapview settings only appears with certain mission files. These missions seem to ignore the snapview settings as previously stored in SnapViews.lua. Leaving these missions to and start another mission the stored snapview settings are still available. I guess these special missions are older and do not fully respect the latest DCS requirements. This procedure is repeatable. After I found out how to store that in track file I will upload it.

Are large monitors still relevant?
TheBiggerBass replied to MJY65's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
A "57 magnifying glass would be more expensive and heavier than my "57 32:9 monitor, I guess. I think I keep my monitor for now. -
FWIW I have the same issue with F-16C. Snapviews are reset sometimes after a training mission.

Just to highlight it again : is there any way to relocate/resize MFDs for Alt-F1 View (HUD) only. I know how to change screen(s), MFD size and location within .lua setup files in DCS World\config\MonitorSetup\. Changing the MFDs there changes the MFDs for Alt+F1 HUD view and F1 cockpit view, which does not make sense to me. I do not want the additional MFDs for normal F1 view, F2 view or any other view. I want additional MFDs for Alt+F1 HUD view only.

Ok. But what are the other folder locations intented for? Are they still in use?

TheBiggerBass started following Introduction to Livery creation

As I didn't pay much attention yet to lieveries and skins I'm struggeling where there is the appropriate storage location for aircraft custom liveries. I found several potential locations: Saved Games\DCS\Liveries Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\<aircraft name> Saved Games\DCS\mods\<aircraft name>\Liveries DCS World\Bazar DCS World\Bazar\<aircraft name> DCS World\Mods\aircraft\<aircraft name>\Liveries DCS World\Core Mods\aircraft\<aircraft name>\Liveries ... and there may be even other locations I didn't find yet. I have no clue where to store which livery and would appreciate some guidance. (to admin: I don't want to open a new topic for my question but did not find another topic covering this issue)

Also ensure the file extension (and format) is .jpg or .png only. Other extensions like .jpeg do not work.

I've set my cursor X/Y axis' each with a curvature of 20-30. That slows down cursor movement for small axis movements but keeps the higher speed for larger axis movements.

I'm also curious how ED will implement to control four engines with a maximum of two throttles. Group them to pairs inner/outer, left/right ... ? Also how to load and unload cargo, troops ect. I'm exited.
