Again, 1 on 1 is no problem because you can of course use tactics: beam/dive/go low/F-pole/whatever (and keep lock) force the f-15C into defense and finish the job with ET’s. But just imagine the Su-27 with R-77 versus F-15C with only AIM-7 (you guess already the result right). We (Su pilots) even don’t ask this from the hosts. But we are just asking AWACS support for Su-27’s! With 1.11 most of the time AWACS is not having perfect conditions anyway (AWACS behavior in 1.11 is kind of realistic and acceptable).

FPS....considering each setting.
TucksonSonny replied to Coffee999's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Exactly, in 16x12 resolution having 2xAA, 4xAF is heaven. -
Very interesting, And I remember that F-15 fan boys were saying that Russian AWACS data link (like god’s eye) was over modeled in lomac. These pictures prove the opposite. Apparently in RL you got also altitude/speed data together with the symbol.

FPS....considering each setting.
TucksonSonny replied to Coffee999's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Anyway with my setup I can get crazy FPS hits in 16x12 if I turn off AA/AF (0xAA/0xAF). From runway 55+ FPS to 90/115 FPS in 16x12 in cockpit with Su. With 2xAA/4xAF this is only from runway 25+ FPS to 70/89 FPS in 16x12 in cockpit. Conclusion with 8xAA and 16xAF you place the bottle neck on your video adapter (Anyway in my case) . With 0xAA and 0xAF I have the impression that my CPU is even overpowered for FC. -
There is a simple way to give the 27 again his advantage without having ARH missiles (or at least equal balance in multiplayer) against F-15C’s. I know you can defeat an expert AI F-15C but it is just too hard to handle with AMRAAM spammers on line. Let host servers add a couple of AWACS’s (or 1) for the Red coalition with the Su-27 and at least equal balance in multiplayer will be restored. You (Hosts) have the right to ignore this request and continue with servers full of F-15C and Mig29S AMRAAM / R-77 spammers. Anyway AWACS is far more realistic in 1.11!

I will go 78 /512 SLI when the time and my pocket is ready (I am still on AGP but it is a great OC motherboard) BTW the only logical upgrade I can see with your pc would be the FX-60 :icon_kidr

Ok, I already start saving then :icon_supe

Like Viggen, the new fighter (now named JAS39 Gripen) has a Volvo but new Flygmotor RM12 turbofan engine.

Happy 2nd Birthday LOMAC

ED must start asking sponsoring like Microsoft did with AOE and Nvidia Happy birthday to lomac/FC  Hi WhiskeyRomeo, I just realize that Vandenberg AFB is a Flemish name like my name (VandenHaute) Written with a little ”d” means (he belongs to the nobility):horseback -
Anyway I skip the FX-57 and wait for the FX-59 :icon_mrgr

Start/Run CMD Ipconfig Note your Default Gateway ip-address and browse this ip-address to configure. Note also ip address (this is your intern ip-address) Browse http://www.whatismyip.com/ (this is your extern ip-address) You have to forward port 10308 for tcp/udp (NAPT on my DSL) -
About the money issue: Phazotron-NIIR owing to its vast experience in the field, 45 years of scientific research and huge production facilities that allows to make excellent aircraft radars. To acquire this elegant systems, Russian Phazotron alone spent over $40 million gained from its export contracts. Not bad.

But I remember that in RL the su-30 or whatever R-77 capable Su had earlier burn through advantage (thus earlier launch) but I am not sure on this one.

Su-25T is like a beautiful Russian Woman

C’mon guys. Just let a couple of wingmen start (from the parking). Pick a wingman that is ready inside a hangar and jump in his plane (ALT-J). When you return to the base put your plane in that same hangar (doors will open). I remember that I returned once on time in my hangar just before the enemy started a gun attack on me. PS. I am also still searching for the magic trigger. -
Question for the hardware specialists
TucksonSonny replied to zenTera's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Very nice OC. But how can 2800 MHz be faster than 2.8 GHz? A few people on the forum here have a stable FX-57 with OC 3.5 GHz! Note that there is another little detail: 4000+ has only 512kb cache. FX-55/57 has 1024kb Level 2 Cash and X2 has 2x512kb L2 cache or 512kb L2 cache in single core. Note also that the multiplier on FX goes from x1 to x25 :icon_weed (with x13 as default). -
Come have a look its worth it :)

Create a folder on your desktop (click right / new folder) and drag and drop all your 218 icons into it and close it. Now you have 1 icon folder + trash bin. ;) -
Question for the hardware specialists
TucksonSonny replied to zenTera's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You have that right: In my case I have to unlock the advance tweaking settings in bios with ctrl+F1 and change the multiplier from AUTO (X13) to X14 (1 click). What a coincident. Last year my dealer told me too that the FX-55 was not worth the money. He tried to sell me the 4000+ too. And I told him: ”Are you kidding me, I want my FX or I get it elsewhere!” ”Of course, I told him that I was into flight Sims!” Anyway with stock cooling you need a little luck on CPU and motherboard. I read from other people on forums that they don’t get it stable over 2.75Ghz with stock cooling. Otherwise you can of course install some cooling or consider water-cooling. I would go for the FX-57 (OC @ 3.0Ghz, SSE3 instructions and 90µ technology) together with dual GeForce 7800 GTX 512 SLI and 2x1GByte (t1 setting in bios) of good quality ram (Of course it is your money). I have no experience with the X2 but apparently it performs also very well in single core and maybe dual core is a good choice for the future. PS. Next year I am going to build a house and as a result I am also stuck for a while with my rig. -
ECM in Lock On Vs F4 - Realism question...
TucksonSonny replied to ron533's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
You don’t need necessary heavy mathematical implementations for simulating stuff. Implementing an effect can be done with simple programming tricks. Complex stealth technology you can simulate by simply decrease the lock-on range for example. BTW, CPU’s love heavy mathematical calculations. -

FX-55 @ 2.6 GHz is unlocked; the AMD4000 @ 2.4GHz is not (means you can’t change the multiplier)! Your default multiplier for FX-55 is set on (AUTO) (x13) -> 2.6Ghz Just go in your bios setup and change the multiplier on x14 and you got 2.8Ghz. (This is so easy, even me can do it!) Almost the same goes for the FX-57 go from stock 2.8Ghz to 3.0Ghz! (Athlon 64 FX-57 at 3.0GHz by simply setting the multiplier to 15x and juicing the voltage up 0.1v (from 1.4v to 1.5v). You can do this safely with stock cooling. If you don’t thrust it put the safety alarm on 60°C and you can’t break stuff. The FX-57 is not enough for the sim but until there is no game/sim done for dual core it is the fastest solution available. In single core even the FX-55 is faster than X2 4800+ -
Nvidia 7800gtx 512mb out next monday.
TucksonSonny replied to a topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I discovered also that CPU OC (200Mhz) gives better benefit the higher you go. With alt @100 close over cities benefit for me is from 17-20 to 23-25 FPS With alt @2000 I already got benefit from 40 to 50 FPS. Of course my older Ultra can’t take more than 2xAA, 4xAF without serious FPS loss in 16x12. Anyway these 7800GTX’s rock especially with higher AA/AF settings! -
