It's not a cheat, it's a feature of the real Gazelle autopilot, and it's simulated in the module too.
-
Hello Gents, As far as I know the real Gazelle doesn't feature a data link system. So it's not simulated in the module. What you can do though is to get your current position coordinates through the NADIR, Lase the target with the sighting camera and get its distance, then you can communicate what you got through the radio. I'd add that the Gazelle can only lase a target in a short range of time, a few secondes, just to get the target distance, but it cannot perform a buddy lase. The module will feature the ability to refuel in a zone pre-defined in mission editor with flags, I mean without any FARP. But the same cannot be applied to re-arm at the moment, it will as soon as the game will allow to do it. All these features are open to improvement or addition, please feel free to let me know your ideas and I'll see if it can be done, respectful of what can be done in real though.

Hi everyone I'd like to share the different skins already done for the module with you. Be aware of the following restrictions though. Only the french ALAT Viviane Hot model is simulated in this module. So, all other countries liveries will be fictional. As you can notice, Sighting camera, Turbine filter, rotor blades, antennas, navigation lights, etc ... differ from one country to the other. Some countries still use the SA341 and the simulated one is a SA342. Some countries use the Westland Gazelle, Airbus Helicopter Gazelle, or SOKO's one. So, here's the list of already done skins at the time this post was written. France ALAT Combat France ALAT Training France Tiger Meet Germany Fictional Greece Cyprus Fictional Israel Fictional Serbia Fictional UK Fictional

It's a radar warning, and a radar missile launch warning too. No IR or optic missile launch warning though :)
-
No, The TV doesn't show your own coordinates, it's already a feature of the NADIR at the center console, and more ... :)
-
Having the torque red lamp steady too long (as a consequence of applying too much collective in some situations) will lead to the turbine blow up, then no more engine at all :) It may happen faster than one can think if one doesn't take care of the torque gauge

Sorry Wolf, I'm not an English native I agree, I should have say "less than a real Autopilot" :)
-
Training missions are currently beeing made. Campaign will be later.
-
This feature is not implemented yet in DCS World. We'll really be happy to add it to the gazelle when it will be available.

Good idea, done :)

Hello Gents, Here are some pics of my last mission, I'd better say of the end of the mission. Downed by a T-72 I didn't see ...
-
Hi everyone, Here are some shots of the external textures WIP during different flight conditions EDIT : The pilots are currently beeing textured too, as soon as I have something to show I will.

-
Here are some details of the texture WIP regarding the external model The FM has been coded to reflect the real helicopter as close as possible.

Hello Gents, Yes I removed the old videos because they didn't fit the real state of the module anymore. Here's a new one I made showing firing HOT missiles with the new cockpit. http://youtu.be/9EQ_2_dBQ2I

About the FM The FM is an external FM coded from scratch This module features simulation for the following systems Electric System Fuel System Lighting System Weapons System Engine System (Turbine) Rotors System ... FM depends on all these systems at some point or another Flight performances follow the different charts available in real flight manual All systems follow every info available in real flight manual FM and systems has been test passed by real pilot, technician and sim fans, keeping in mind the limitation of a simulation game This stated, I let for everybody the pleasure to define it as an advanced flight model, or a professionnal flight model, or else :)

@Kobac, already in contact :) But it doesn't prevent me for code debugging
-
Kobac, I got you for the fuel pump and the starter, Thanks for your report. I thought it was already the case, I'm checking the whole cockpit at the moment exactly to chase these kind of things.
-
Hi Kobac, PM answered I was told the french army version SA342 has no more the fuel pump switch with the 20s stuff.

Hello gents, here are 2 close-ups from the cockpit at day and at night. The external model and the pilots are still at texturing, as soon as i have something to show I will.
