Will there be a 'final' version of this model available for download? Meaning just the model. No updater, extra skins, etc....

Dang I'm getting sick of waiting.... I mean I know it'll be done when it's done..but damn every time I watch GA's "Project 50"....dammit!!! Who do I have to kill to be a beta tester?? lol

We already know that they are leveraging their code for the battle simulator or whatever it is they are calling the product they are marketing as a military training aid, as well as the desktop A-10C sim for the US ANG. Gov't contracts are the big $$$. We should feel lucky to reap the benefits of that business. I think the future is bright for ED. My biggest fear is that Russian/US relations may go south over Iran or oil or a million other things and they will cut us off from the good stuff!

How are you "loading the profile"? Loading a profile (by right-clicking on the icon in the task bar) doesn't load the profile into the editor. You have to open the editor and then use it to open the profile for editing. If that's not what's wrong I don't know what is. Been using my X-52 for 2 years now and never seen what you describe.

Medium altitude restrictions have been placed on most recent conflicts for one simple reason....MANPADS. Has nothing to do with what type of A/C it is. It has to do with the threats.

If anyone can provide some good pics of the symbols on the tail and wings. I'll make the skins....

Logitech X-530 from Newegg Rugg. First thing I played was the Virtual Thunderbirds movie. Nice mix of different music, and roaring jets...lol The sound is light years ahead of what I had. Lockon sounds great, my anomalies are gone, and I couldn't be happier! :thumbup: Now my monitor is showing signs of death...sigh...it never ends...:doh:

I ended up getting an X-Fi extreme gamer card and some logitech 5.1 speakers :thumbup:

I'm currently running a 5 year old SB PCI512 soundcard on some Altec 2.1 speakers w/sub. Sometimes I run into problems running LO with basic acceleration, but running it with no acceleration makes other weird things happen all the time, like super-loud engine sounds when a wingie or other A/C is close, or super loud engine sounds in my cockpit if I switch to another A/C's external view etc... My question is: Is this just LO having messed up sound or can I solve this by upgrading to a newer sound card? I'm looking at an OEM audigy 4SE. And is it worth it to buy 5.1 speakers? Does lockon use any positional sounds?

No solution to that I'm afraid. Just a result of doing something not actually designed into the game...I find it easier to "fly" the TDC onto the target myself...:joystick:

Oh so you're problem doesn't have anything to do with my mod! I see, I'll check tonight and see if the same thing happens when I make the Su-30 flyable through a meinit edit.

I have no idea why you are having sound issues. My mod doesn't modify any sounds, and mine work fine with the mod installed. Have you changed anything else recently?

Yes you can change the meinit and fly the Su-30, but then you can't A-A refuel. The only Russian bird with that capability is the Su-33, which is why I used it for my mod.

Download either GIMP or Irfanview. Both are freeware graphics programs with the ability to resize images. IMHO GIMP does a better job, but Irfanview has a nice batch processing feature for when you want to do a bunch. If you have problems using either one just post here and I'll try to help!

They are going to bring the 25T up to the TM (39) standard, and add the podded radar...mmm R-77's and ASMs on the Grach....:smartass: well a guy can dream can't he....

I'm pretty sure ED will release a template when they release BS like they did with the 25T. Maybe this time they'll release it in RGB??? *hint hint ED* lol

OMG JAGUAR!!!! I must have it! I think most of our modeling gurus are all busy on projects though. God I hope that Jaguar makes it to release...please someone who can... help him!
