Thanks Eno! I did discover your server and the SimHQ thread while trying to search for the mission on google. Love your server! I have been on it once or twice so far. I fully respect your holding on to the mission! Now I just need to time it so I meet your rotation, LOL! Meanwhile, I did create my own really simple mission killing convoys with rockets....lots of fun! (But yours looks fun-er!)

Good video. Wind perhaps?

Is there an option to change the color of the cursor in the DCS World main environment? The in-cockpit cursor is fine. I am referring to the one in the main program menus and then also when you first enter the module, the one you use to click "fly" and the briefing screen. The default cursor color is dark and the menu backgrounds are also dark, so I loose the cursor all the time. I figure this "may" be a simple modification to a lua file to set the color (I am hoping)?? Thanks.

I searched the forums, but could not get any hits on this mission name. Sorry if I missed any posts on it.... Found this video on YouTube.....is this mission available as a download? Looks awesome.

Still only approx 30 FPS after graphics upgrade.
Marmusman replied to JaseGill's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ditto on this....or is your frame rate counter set to 30 fps max instead of unlimited? -
Got my manual on Friday from Lulu. Got the softcover B&W version. IMHO, very affordable, excellent quality printing, binding is secure and quick delivery. I'd say the binding is similar to some softcover textbooks I had to buy back in the college days...seems durable. Thanks chaotikchiken for setting this up!

I ran DCS A-10C Beta and first releases on a NVidia Quadro FX 770M (workstation laptop with external monitor) with Windows XP for about 2 months. Used the 3Gb switch to get the extra memory needed. It ran, but I do not recommend it. My issues may have been due to memory limits of XP. I am not sure about the card's use with Win7. Though it did give me enough experience to decide to invest in a new computer...so I guess it was good. As stated by others in this thread, the video card is not design for gaming, so it does not officially support the types of graphics needed. The card is very powerful for AutoCAD and such, but not up to snuff for a fast moving, graphically intense flight simulator. I was able to play on multi-player servers, but the game would crash if too many explosions and smoke occurred within the game. I can only imagine that the latest version would be worse than my experiences last year. If there is no money involved, I'd say give it a shot...but don't expect too much. If you are buying hardware for it.....not worth it. [edit] my advice, if you DO go ahead with it....make sure you have the latest NVidia Drivers for the Quadro....when I first tried DCS A-10C (as beta) it would not run...then NVidia released a new driver version that just happened to address the issue, then it ran. It was just a coincidence that a fix required for AutoCAD also fixed the problem. So it is hit or miss.

Cheers! I recommend FreeTrack also. It is kinda fun...making your own clip and setting it up was a blast. I have used it for 4 years now. I recommend a Bluetooth dongle and Wii remote, if you have a Wii. The dongle will cost you about $20 US. The "clip" or "Hat" was about $10 US in parts from Radio Shack or small electronics store.

This might be a bizarre question....I am sure I will get grief for it.... ...but has anybody linked DCS World to any ACARS type programs? (ACARS is used a lot in FSX for plotting flight paths onto a Google Map on Virtual Airline websites) I assume that a program could use the same data output that TACview uses. My interest is having a pilot upload a file to a website database. The file would contain flight data, such as flight time, path coordinates, maybe weapons releases or something and plot it out on a map and record the data to keep pilot records. Almost like a VA for military operations.

Yea, you are right. Lulu does not even offer non-bound printing. I did just recieve a 20% off code from Lulu! They are celebrating Veteran's Day. " For 3 days only, Lulu is offering you a chance to save 20% on your next purchase with coupon code VETS2012. Visit Lulu.comto redeem your coupon code today. Offer ends November 13 at 11:59 PM."

Can they print a non-bound, loose version on 3-hole paper? We could provide our own binder(s)

We have found it to be very playable....but yes there are bugs that tend to drive you crazy. Yesterday's beta patch and the beta patch last month solved many of the bigger issues....at least for me and my squad-mates. Most of us have played IL-2 since it's original release in early 2000s, and believe that the future will be brighter. (Of course, all of us bought mega machines prior to release just to play the damn thing)...the first release back in 2000s was full of issues and it took them many years to "fix" all of it, then the mod community took it from there and turned in into an absolutely beautiful sim. with UltraPack combined mod package. Cheers!

HJ, Thanks for the tip! I was not aware of that! One more reason to add to the list to upgrade to a SSD.

In game at regular speed, the explosion causes frame rates to drop from 30+ down to 6 fps!!! (All graphics settings set to Full, plus I have Fraps running, which kills frame rates anyway). I think DCS A-10 definitely does a better job managing the resources during explosions.

Gotta love the Train Explosion effects in IL-2: Cliffs of Dover. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQhdxwWtiew

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
Marmusman replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Thanks....no multi-monitor setup yet, just playing with the idea...if TS can be integrated with (2) MDFs, I would be happy and will make it so. -

Marmusman replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Thanks. I hear you about TS overlay. So there is no way to make the 2nd monitor such that say...half shows the game screen and half shows the Windows desktop (where TS3 could be opened and visible)?? Just a thought. -

I am going way back to Post #39 in this thread.....I like the multi-monitor with Cougar HOTAS MFDs shown in photo..... ...is there any way to get Teamspeak to be displayed between the two MFDs? (or above or below, etc) so that I can see who is speaking in TS? or does all content need to be within the sim program? -

is there a password for the FTP?

so is it a patch or not?

Yea, EDs torrent tracker "http://tracker.eagle.ru:2710/announce" is still tracking 37 seeders and 106 peers. I have mine up all day to help out.

I found a copy of the original torrent file for v1.1.0.9. It appears that there are still seeder/feeders/whatever out there to be able to download it. http://www.mediafire.com/?kwkgstza9e4dcia EDS does not include the version number in the full version torrent download filename, but if you check the listing in the torrent, they are for v1.1.0.9

Rule No.: 1. Cardio 2. The double tap and my favorite 22. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, unless it’s a sprint, then sprint We would need to come up with some additional rules....
