  1. It's the same, it's paying for something that you've got no guarantee to get in any reasonable time. This is good for small studios, some passionate guys who creates some indie stuff after full time job, not a goddamn full grown commercial company with government top secret contracts. Stop behave like children.
  2. Jesus.... please, stop this kickstarter, donating or throwing money bullshit...
  3. Been discussed many times before. There will be good product released, i'll put my money in. Not before. Stop stupidly throwing money at anyone. It ain't no good. It's not going to push anything faster or better. It's shooting yourself in the foot. It's a full grown company with government contracts, ffs.
  4. 10 years of selling the same products over and over again. 10 years of flying above the same terrain. With exceptions of BS (which i payed for twice) and a-10c.
  5. At the end of this discussion from my side i suggest all of you give up this altruistic "i buy to support devs, so i can hope that ill get good stuff later" aproach (not only in games, DCS or whatever). It really doesn't work that way in business, marketing or whatever these days. And spoils the market. Try to become conscious customers rather than that. couse that what you are, the customers. Not a friends, not a worshipers, not a family, not a support group, not a brothers in arms, not a do-gooders and such thing. Just the customers with money and expectations. And learn about economic laws. Personaly, i think this really sucks what's happening right now. 10 years. Only module i'm waiting for is Beczl's MiG-21 and maybe Buckeye, if it truly will be hi-fi. EOT
  6. It's like friendzone meme: "keep telling yourself it's better than nothing." right direction? 10 years, same products over and over again, same map.
  7. I think there are reasonable voices already that say throwing money at ED in hope to get full product in some reasonable future doesn't work quite well. It's company under economic laws.
  8. :D :D :D Wooooooow!!! This is brilliant business idea! This is going to be even better than Fighter Ops. Selling the same products over and over again. How do you feel FC3 buyers? Surprise b**t s*xed? This is cute.
  9. Combat Helo is doing nothing, as the project currently is on halt. (EDIT: i've just checked. There are some moves, but more or less they're similar to moves in Jet Thunder development or Seven-G) Combat Helo isn't meant to be on DCS level of 1:1 realism.
  10. 2:08
  11.
  12. Apache, apache, apache... always apache... Yeah right, 10 cheesburgers and diet cola, please. It's a bit funny, when a niche has it's own mainstream tastes :) My choice? AH-1 or Hind. Apache is too mainstream and somehow connected to word CLASSIFIED (longbow), and that's what disqualify it from being DCS module. Best choice evar? http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/imgs/lockheed-ah56-cheyenne_2.jpg As i always say, at this rate of releasing modules, even a "DCS: Kite Toy" (BETA - 39.00$) would be warmly welcomed by myself.
  13. Basicaly that's what i was thinking. It was the kind of substitute and way to simulate feeling of glass. Funny, because basicaly it's like a definition of advanced simulation. It's about finding the nearest equivalent of feeling or impulse that initiate feeling in a very limited (for our senses standard) environment. Enough of philosophy. I remeber this feature was extremely immersive in LOmac and has been giving very powerful feeling of glass. Miss it a little.
  14. eeeh... i've always liked this effect in LOmac, realistic or not. At least p51 has it.
  15. two weeks. be sure.
  16. Dudes, slow down a bit and get real. What Vietnam? What you're talking about are tons of enormous work for years. Look what we've got, after those many years: 3 machines and 2 of them still needs some fixes (don't count FC3 stuff, it's FC not DCS), Nevada map, that is too long in developmnent and 2 birds near release (UH and Mig). And all of these together have no real, historical or coherent in any other way background that connects them and justify their existence in first place. I'm perfectly fine with that. I just hope DCS level of simulation is not going to be watered down with some half functional birds with simplified avionics in order to release more birds in shorter time. Cheers I'm great fan of what these guys doing here and i fly them birds every day, but sorry for breaking dreams of yours (hehe, and mine)
  17. Well, so many sims to be updated with: RoF, Combat Helo, Jet Thunder... Waiting for my Fighter Ops mug, polishing flying skills with Ka-50 Cziernaja Akuła, trying to achieve optimal Hohmann's transfer to Mars in Orbiter, waiting for finaly anmd barely playable Cliffs of Dover and SH5. Damn. So many things happen in flight sims branch these days... :pilotfly:
  18. Yes, please Nate. I guess you're reffering to FC2 Currently i actively support like 3 projects, and none of them goes into direction it should. In every of them devs lost big picture, changing it to realatively easy money and short-sighted, short-term activities and policy. It's a plague these day, good promising start then some crap about open environment, suh things. One of these projects is very close to implement paying for fuel to keep birds flying :D I'm sure that ED's p-51 is great. I have no doubt about it. Somebody just tell me, so what? Sightseeing flights in combat ready environment. Thank you, i've got A2A B-17, B337, p-47, Spitfire, P-40 and P-51 within some few months with full procedures, engines wearing, consuming exploatation fluids etc. etc. I just don't understand such shor-sighted entusiasm in community. I have some serious suspicions of wasting time money and resources. Because i can.
  19. Great, cool, yeah! Finaly! Excusme. May we now have some aircraft that actualy fits into the DCS? You, know i mean something that actualy has more sense and is not that pointless and useless like p-51 in Georgia over the socrealistic settlements etc. for 40$ ?
  20. Second that. Maybe within next 8 years we will see somenthing like that, and it will be probably another shiny toy for hamburgers completely out of context in terms of DCS series.
  21. Sorry, i have to say that. Another brilliant marketing move from ED after selling Ka-50 one more time to the same people. You hamburger boys want 100% realistic P-51? Wait for A2A release. If ED put as much work as A2A in P-51 to make every system 100% accurate and working, then i don't believe we will see decent, 100% accurate DCS jet within next few years. If we will see it, then i'm concerned about it's quality. At least they could make me262 or 109 or P-80, or any other interesting combat aircraft instead of another US Pony Plane
