The whole problem is that release date moves forward faster than days in calendar.
-
Please, read with uderstanding and with whole context. BTW. I don't know what edge is doing. And nobody knows, only devteam knows.
-
Hmmm.... but that requires completely new and different level of details (map and terrain). DCS maps are good for airplanes... To make any sense these days, it has to be at least level of Steel Armor: Blaze of War (Arma level is rather impossible in terms of EDGE). DCS's map resolution matches resolution of M1 Tank Platoon 2's map. I think it's not good enough for tank sim today. But we'll see. It would be awesome. Right now i'd prefer DCS level Su-27 ;)

??? That's a surprise. Didn't know. That's what happens when you live in cave. Big THX. -
1.2.8 Open Beta Preliminary Change Log
q800 replied to upupandaway's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Any news on releasing FC3 birds as a DCS modules? Got money to spend, but don't want to waste it buying LoMAC. -
Guys, i'm not going to pet you like the others, i'm not going to be big-hearted, uderstanding, and tolerant. I'm going to be someone much more important. I'm your 1st buyer. Just think and estimate your capabilities before you say something. I think of this project as a real deal, not some skilled amateur's after-hours fun. It's worth something. Besides, you've already got enough claquers. I'm not going to be one of them. Just for good balance.

More excuses. It is a delay. 31 march was official and confirmed date, even after this whole soap opera has ended. There still exist such unimportant things like reliability and responsibility for words. I know it's insane thinking in this left-oriented spoiled western society. Ppl here are the 1st buyers with real money no matter what, some of them have already paid. Don't you forget that, when giving some more excuses and teachings about world, that had lost some important principles.

Soooo... 6 days more and we take off! Maybe some some vid with working avionics, weapon systems, payloads, FM and such? Or maybe you will finaly admit that beside nice, eyecandy screenies of never-polished-enough-cockpit there's no progress at all and you are, like every DCS dev team including ED itself, deep deep behind any reasonable schedule? Which is normal state for DCS stuff lately.
-
So... basicaly we could have T-2 within this year, and instead we will have Mirage for like 2-3 years? Seems legit. Why couldn't you just finish what you've started and then go to the next thing?

Every couple of minutes looking to the right from pilot's, co-pilot's or engineer position causes heavy stutter (looking left is always fine) and then it takes some time to clear buffer or whatever. I don't know, if it's some texture - polygon issue, memory leak or is it only with mi-8 (haven't checked it with another plane) or with DCS: World update that fixes some things while screws others. Hell, even opening radio com menu causes stutter.

Night vision goggles - no way to increase brightness
q800 replied to q800's topic in Bugs and Problems
Good job, Mate. thanks! I've suspected something like that, but too lazy to check that out. -
Decreasing (RAlt+RShift+H) works fine. Increasing (RCtrl+RShift+H) doesn't.

I've just turned my co-pilot's view a little to the right. The old marker has nothing to do with the new device, they're not connected in any way. View on your picture is alligned because you and your co-pilot look in the same direction, straight forward. I guess it's still WIP, which suck a little, as now i have to watch only-aesthetic sight that doesn't work, with fake, prosthetic marker and is not visible in external view or from gunner position. Kills immersion a bit and painfully reminds it's beta. I'm not in game dev, so i'm not gonna ask why this small thing wasn't fully implemented after such a long time since last update. i have a feeling that they could do better that this. Nevermind.
-
Like here? http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=84741&d=1373675519 because mine doesn't look like this. Instead of nice new reticle, i have the old one that is connected to co-pilot's sight position. Uploaded with ImageShack.us And there's no pilot's sight in external view... you really could do better with this update, Belsimtek
-
That's what i'm talking about. To be correct, not all lights work.
-
I know how to bring the sight down. I don't know, how to turn it on. When i acivate guns, i have old aiming reticle on co-pilot place (which is as it should be) and this nasty, fake, orange, thick gun reticle on pilot's place, that have been there before update.
-
Cockpit lights knobs still don't work... How to turn on pilot's sight reticle?

I don't care what kickstarter is. If you want money, first you have to show what you've got to offer. That's natural law, you can't just bypass it. And, as you can see for yourself, reality has verified it pretty quickly. Popularity of chosen aircraft? Look around, get real, how many mashines we've got already and how many years have passed? Everyone on this forum will buy everything released, even the DCS: Paper Plane. I'll be happy if only 1/3 of already announced aircrafts see the daylight, within next 5 years, if ever. Beside that, marketing and marketing. Look at Star Citizen. (personaly, ithink dude's got nothing, but has great marketing)
-
Agreed. Show something, put in some hard work first. Some basic model with animation (even canopy, flaps), basic avionics test working in dcs environment, basic start-up procedure. Create a feeling of nearly finished product... then ask for money. In a long term it's good for every1 of us, that this kickstarter didn't make it. It'll be healthier: work 1st, money 2nd. They thought it's enough just to say "hey, we will create something cool, but first give us money". They were wrong.
-
Hm. Not surprised. Explanation: Case 1. Dev: Hey, look what we've got. It cost only X$ Some Dude: Wow! Nice, i'll take two - one for a friend. This is how things go normally in civilized world Case 2. Dev: Hey, look what we've already achieved. Pay us us some money, so we can finish it, and you'll get it once it's done. Some Dude: Meh, again... wait, it's actually cool. There's a chance. Ok, got some spare bucks, here you go. There are some good examples: Kerbal Space Program (my favourite). Star Citizen (risky thing, but very, VERY good marketing - results: few million bucks) Case 3. Dev: Heeeey! We've got nothing, even a basic model working in DCSW environment, just some shots from 3d studio. You want h-f DCS: UFO, dude, no problemo! Give us money, then we gonna create it, eh? Some Dude: lolz
-
Just wake me up, when there is any DCS Jet Fighter released at all. Then you'll see my money, not a penny before.
-
Yeah sure. If there's any module released at all, you'll be the first to bring money in your theeth, without asking any questions.
-
Name just one of the kickstarter projects that has been already finished and released. And i mean things big, and advanced like Star Citizen, not some indie relatively simple stuff. It's succesful business model (for kickstarter creators), because it' easy to make children wet themselves and quickly gather lot's of money, promising everything they want to hear. You just have to know what they want to hear. Concluding. It's bit too early to say that this is succesful business model. This f-35 thing... lol. Good luck. You're gonna need it. Already it's like modeler's shop with lots of beautiful, colourful, but empty boxes. Only real thing coming in soe predictable future is Beczl's MiG-21 (maybe T-2) nothing more. Eh... it's so easy to amuse many of you guys...
-
Wow... This is going to be even better than Fighter Ops!
-
No i'm not generous. Always pay for things i get the same day. That makes me a bit richer. Again, throwing money at them will not make things go faster.
