after re installing dcs from scratch ......updated the videocard to the newest update .....deleting all the cache shader files......still got the weird changing of colours on the approaching treeline .....i have had dcs installed on this pc for over 5 years without this happening ...after update on the normandy map it started to show ......trees on persian gulf are perfect .....so only in normandy and caucausus having this issue ......frustrating ....maybe some advise for nvidia panel settings to change ? all help welcome thanks in advance My system Intel Core i7-4790 3,6GHz 4GHz Intel B85 nvidia gtx 1070 dcs on 500gb ssd 16gb ram

no luck , will try to add a movie clip later on , maybe you can check

went back to older driver for my gfx 1070 , see what that does

dear bignewy , thanks for advise but unfortunately no succes, very strange , never had this issue before , following dcs since flanker 1.0 in 1995 :joystick:

here too , also i still have the texture issue where upcoming trees change colour from dark to lighter green .....checked in caucasus and there all normal did repair and deleted the metashader folders and fxo several times without success - drivers up to date

now checking in caucasus map , and same issue , before had no problems :(

Updated to latest patch but still the trees switch colours just before flying over them....like they change\turn position last minute ... is this a LOD problem ? brgds Maks

Dear Bignewy, just updated to the new patch but the trees are still swapping colours from light to dark constantly when flying low .....like the textures are turning last minute :music_whistling: (cannot explain otherwise) can this be fixed with a setting or is this still a lod problem ? brgds and thanks for the updates maks

i am not using trackir.......

i am running dcs for years on 60hz with a solid 60fps over each area on the maps.......i have noticed that 60fps is needed to get fluid motion.....from the moment it drops or goes higher than 60fps ....stutter occurs.....i tried 75hz but could not hold 75fps all the time.... now i saw an offer for a 144hz monitor 1080p 32inch and was asking myself.....wil the game run 60fps on this solid or goes it up to 144fps with drops and rising fps?.......and if it runs on 60fps do i have then any advantage of buying the 144hz monitor?......i am a bit lost in what to expect? (english not my native language) thanks for any advise and help

Hi there, Need some advise I want to change my existing SSD 250gb (only used for dcs no other files on it) with a 1tb version. Now it seems, i dont have any free connection inside my desktop (no tech experience with pc building), nor cable connections. Can i just copy the whole DCS file from the SSD 250gb , first onto a usb backup disk , then install the 1tb version ssd into the pc , and then copy from the usb backup disk onto the new ssd and play the game again ? :cry:.......or is there another way , easier, safer..... thanks in advance for any advice, help brgds Maks

i deleted all liveries in my saved games folder and also in the base dcs folder and still they show up in the game? can i remove all liveries in an other way .......want to start wit a clean bunch of original liveries delivered with the game .....:dunno:

Solved it ....deleted su25 parachute from temp textures dir Why mig 29 and su27 were affected , dont know?

Dear, a few months ago , i installed the liveries for the north korean air force for the su25/su27/mig29 , but now i get on all aircraft (eg russsia,ukraine) the same drag chute with north korean markings, and i cannot change them back to the stock drag chute (red and white) texture ? seems hidden ? can someone help me out ? thanks in advance brgds maks

Dear Wags and ED team, fellow virtual pilots, While i am at 27% of the 2.5 update , i suddenly recall some nostalgic moments attached to this siumulation software. 1995 : attending a pc game fair in Brussels , Belgium on a big screen , a promotion video of russian pilot Anatoly Kvotchur for the Flanker software by SSI i was amazed of the simulator as at that time i flew only Falcon 3 but i had no pc to run the Flanker series 1997 : finally after a 2 year wait i bought a copy of Flanker and a new pc that run it smoothly 1999 : a family member went to the USA and brought back a copy of Flanker 2 2001 : due to the addiction to the SU27 flanker series , i headed to the MAKS airshow in Moscow ! 2003 : 1february2003 : had an opportunity to join a press pre release of LOCKON in Rotterdam snowing like hell and nearly did not made it on time , on the tv one of the space shuttles exploded live on the screen 28november2003 : quit work and headed for a 100km trip to the nearest game shop to finally get a copy of LOCKON 2005-2012 : LOCKON flaming cliffs 1,2 .........and even 3 ? dont remember correctly 2008 : meeting Jim from ED team at Brussels in the release of BLACK SHARK 2012-2017 : DCS , different versions , numerous modules (now 13 in ttl) 2018 : 30january2018 : DCS 2.5 , same exitement as in 1995 , The FLANKER series comes home !
