  1. Hey KillarZ The big boys will probably correct me on this but I try to get nice, defined, basic shape of the airplane which is more or less a low poly airplane. My secret is to make the job as easy as possible while creating the model, smaller number of vertices, so that I don't have more work set out for me than necessary. When you finish your model, then you can apply the turbosmooth to see your High-poly aircraft but until you reach that stage just work with editable poly, with small amount of vertices. Best advice I can give you ;)
  2. SkateZilla, that solved the problem! Thank you very much! The problem was solved by pressing on the Chessboard looking icon in the Material editor. Now, back to work!
  3. Hi Rudel The object is not frozen. The steps I take are the following: - Create a plane, Length segs: 1, Width segs: 1. - Material, choose -> standard -> increase Self-Illumination 100 -> add bitmap by pressing by the Diffuse button. - Apply to the object. The steps are from youtube tutorial I was watching.
  4. Hi Everyone! Wanted to re-do the fuselage for the my C-47 project. I thought I would start with different blueprint-line-up approach. Well stumbled into my first problem. I can not manage to see my blueprints in the viewport, however I can see that they are well applied in Material editor and it renders the blueprint when I render. Any suggestions how to fix this? :helpsmilie:
  5. Sir, the music....Rep inbound ;)

  7. Hello Everyone I recently re-installed 3ds max studio because I want to try, since I'm still a rookie, and contribute with some models for Beczl's WW2 mod. I know that an airplane is a big task for a "real" first-time project but I feel that with a challenge of this size it could be a very good first step for more models in the future. I will try to update with my progress. These pictures are after 3 hours of work. (1 hour to get back into the game). Just the fuselage and wings. Some geometric error by the cockpit is visible and front part of the wings are too pointy. Feel free to comment on design errors that you may see. I'll try to take in all constructive feedback and I hope some of you with good modelling knowledge could help me when I get stuck  Enjoy!

  9. It's like watching this video. Just a question regarding the smoke. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like there is less smoke, almost none at all, when the afterburners are engaged, why is that ?
  10. Just amazing how much immersive feeling the smoke effect and wingtip vortices adds to the game alone. And just as someone mentioned that sound would've been cool to see in the future. Although Diveplane's mod comes quite close ;) Btw, think I've rewatch the video 20 times by now
  11. Wow Mustang Are you using any mod for that sun because it looks really good. First and second picture were incredible.
  12. Very nice editing, just fired away a rep. Like your style, keep em coming !
  13. @tjhowse Are you creating them yourself or buying the parts somewhere online? @Swaty Thank you swaty, I'll check out the links!
  14. @tjhowse Interesting project you have going on there. Are you planning to create your own buttons(internal components as well) or are buying them somewhere?
  15. RIP Jim
  16. Nice find DD_Crash, will send an e-mail to the company!
  17. Hey Swaty Thank you for the link, I will check it out!
  18. Hello Everyone I've recently found my old 4-button - CH product - F16 Fighterstick with gameport. Since I'm studying engineering ( second year computer science) and long living dream to modifying my joystick I thought I make a project out of it, where I convert my old gameport stick to an USB-stick by changing/adding new internal components. The goal is to make it look like a genuine USB-CH product "Fighterstick". Since I barely have any experience in modifying joysticks, I will during this project learn by doing and document everything in pictures so that I can show the progress. So for the first step I'll be needing your help guys since I'm having problems finding quality parts. Step 1. I would like to ask if there is anyone out there that knows a good site where I can purchase the following things: – 3x traditional push buttons – 3x 4-way hat switches – 1x 8-way POV hat switch – 1x mode switch button To connect all of the buttons and the the three axis I'll be needing a custom or ready-made microcontroller, but that will be Step 2. Thank you in advance :smilewink:
  19. Sorry for hijacking but just listening to the engine sound makes me want to purchase this model. Also enjoy watching Furia videos, very informative!
  20. Used to love this game The company later made this game. (Sorry for the bad res.) Search and Rescue Vietnam Med Evac
  21. Well Ells228 don't get me wrong, I don't doubt that there are people on the forum who purchase products from IKEA. But it's first time I witness someone actually making some commercial for IKEA's products. Just keep it up :D
  22. Never thought I, a Swede, would ever see people exchange IKEA product tips on these forums :P
  23. Nice MiG shots! If there would have been exhaust smoke some of the shots, it would look real.
  24. Yeah, the ship smoke was very realistic!
  25. Very nice vid Ralfi. Just one Q. Do you use any smoke mod?
