Added the ability to designate an AWACS surveillance (SURV) Multi-Sensor Integration (MSI) track file as the Launch and Steering (L&S) or Designated Target 2 (DT2). This is a work in progress with expected changes/improvements later. When finalized, an instructional video will be provided.
Known issues:- AIM-120 desync issues (not strictly an MSI issue, but rather more visible because of it)
- Half-sized HAFU for MSI track in TWS radar mode.
- Missing L&S, MSI-only tracks on SA page.
- Incorrect AIM-120 RWR warnings from MSI-only launches.
- Incorrect HMD indication of MSI-only targets as friendly.
- All MSI targets should be in the priority ranking matrix.
- Low priority tracks presentation missing.
- HAFU's missing proper MEM flashing logic based on contributing source.
- L&S Trackfile losing radar contribution causes the trackfile to be deleted and requires re-designating.

Looks like a great update for Afghanistan has been published... yet still no ILS at Kandahar. @NineLine
It is reported still, and I have bumped the issue internally. Thanks

The Zero announcement should have been announced with a really big ass trailer. I think the reason they didn't is because they don't have much to show. Sadly. But Nevertheless, we are getting a zero! It is beyond amazing.
Consider this more like a tease you might see at the end of the Beyond videos, you dont get much, but you know its coming.

Please go by official announcements. Things can be teased or shown that might not be announced yet, or later were removed from the plan, etc. Focus on all the exciting things we announced, and don't worry about the non-announced items until they are announced.
Our assets are in varying stages of readiness; they might make the occasional guest spot here and there.

I wasn't trying to convince you of anything, so that makes sense.

I will provide screen shots later. I know it’s not as sharp as TGP. But it should be as sharp as on my other PC
But busy days now so no time to fly. Maybe next week. Thanks for showing interest.
Sounds like it might be a setting or something, happy to take a look

I wish I could assist but I have been playing ITJ on the server with the latest version we released and have not encountered any issues. Flew last night, but did not record. One thing I have changed though is I turn off my antivirus/spyware now when I fly DCS. I noticed it was causing the performance issues. I only turn it off when flying on DCS though.
I would recommend opening in the mission editor and taking out the IDX to start with. Then maybe disable spyware/antivirus if it persists. I hate to say it, but this is the problem we run into playing a mod heavy mission. Especially with every new update. I know the last update that reverted back to the previous version fixed a lot of issues with mods and missions. You may give it another shot and see if anything has changed.
I wish ED @Wags @NineLine would consider making @Eight Ball Eight Balls VAP pack an official addition to DCS. It is stellar from the AI perspective and has really provided some much needed assets to DCS.
He would just need to propose it to us, and we could consider it if it meets all requirements.

Can you post an updated track for me please? Thanks!

You are both correct; that is why it's optional.

Aapparently it is ok to have a 'skip BIT test' button for the Apache FCR, but not for the ATP BIT on the Viper
Yes, it is ok when based on the documentation we have on these two items that the AH-64D has the skip bit test, whereas the AAQ-33 does not. As always, if you have evidence available from a publicly shared source, we would be happy to review it.

I can’t help but thinking ED waited to see the success of the Corsair before expanding their plans for the pacific assets pack and the flyable zero. So I guess the Corsair did well sales wise, that’s great news.
No, research alone for the Zero has been going on for an incredibly long time. It was more about making sure we could do it to the expected level that people expect from a DCS Warbird. We were happy to have M3 doing a module that will fit in nicely with the Hellcat and Zero, but they were not held for the release of any other module. Thanks!

Since the release of the free DCS: Marianas WWII map and the Magnitude 3 DCS: F4U-1D Corsair, we want to provide an update on the extensive effort being devoted to bringing this scenario to life with the PTO Assets Pack. Learning from some of the European Theatre of War scenarios, the PTO scenario is focused on providing an extensive order of battle for both US and Imperial Japanese forces in the summer of 1944 and to offer an accurate representation of the battle for the Mariana Islands and the Battle of the Philippine Sea.

Dear all, we have cleaned this thread. For now, this thread will remain locked as it has become more work than it needs to be. Currently, we have generally the same 10 or so people debating different things releated or unrelated to this topic. It ends up in angry people, warnings and misunderstandings.
When there is something new, it will be added to the 1st post in this thread.
If it's something that needs discussion, we will consider opening this thread.
Any new threads opened on this topic will be removed. If you have questions about items in the 1st post here, you can send us a DM.

Ok,
bringing up this subject again. On my old PC the IR D F-16 mavericks is usable. Then I go on 3 weeks holiday, come back, and the a complete new, fresh install on a new PC. Now the D maverikc picture is so blurry that I can not make out what I am trying to target
I have one PC monitor connected and one VR headset (Pimax Crystal Super). The problem is there when I am playing in 2D and also when playing in VR. In settings, Res of Cockpit displays is set to 1024 every frame. I have the same settings on this new PC as the old PC where I did not have this problem.
Like I said, all I did was a fresh new install on a new PC. I have not installed any mods or done any strange settings on my new PC or in DCS.
Looks normal here, you can include some screenshots and a track and we can take a look. Its not gonna be as sharp as the TGP.

Training 6 Reported
Training 7 I didnt have much issue with this one.
Training 8 Reported, Depression seems broken as you cant set the first number past 1.
Training 9 Same as 8, with the Depression not working right it seems these wont work right.
Training 13 No issue here taking off, this one might just take some practice.
Training 14 Reported

Well, that was... something...
Honestly, aside from what I assume was AI-written and voiced text, it gets many things wrong or makes reaching assumptions, perhaps based on research from ChatGPT?
I am not going for a point-for-point rebuttal as this is old, old news, and I have enough going on without reliving past speedbumps in the winding highway that is DCS.
SD is correct, we have been thinking about PTO for a loooooong time, Marianas as a free map with a WWII version was planned ages ago, so no, do not drag us into anyone elses story, the world is not that big and conflicts happened in many locations that games will overlap, we do not try and stop anyone from making their own vision of any particular theater.
The P-51D was what was supposed to become a Flying Legends collection in DCS, modelling some of the most epic warbirds of that and other eras. RRG came along and wanted to create an all-encompassing ETO theatre, when they saw that much of their Kickstarter went towards the first aircraft, which started the death spiral. That first WWII fighter will make or break a 3rd Party, I think, in many cases, they are more difficult to model correctly (at least when it comes to flight modelling).
We never had the manpower to do a full-blown WWII sim. We picked up the pieces the best we could, and we have what we have now. With the F4U coming and the Hellcat being a favourite of the boss, a dip into the PTO theatre just made sense. If we do a Zero... oh my, while other games could do many different Zeros, our version, if we can, would be... epic.
Anyways...
Let sleeping dogs lie, I will leave this video here and open, but not sure I care to see anymore here I know how it ends.

Maybe also an HPRF mode maybe one day? I know its not entirely F-16 thing, but still.
The best place would be a wishlist item with publicly available evidence of what you are looking for.

Ok. Was just wondering if the "After Early Access" list will expand in the near future. Of course those items need to be accomplished first, and I am sure there are other items in-work behind the scenes, was just wondering is all.
if later we are 100% sure of adding a new feature, we will add it to the roadmap then, but not before. Thanks

This bird looks nice and promising! But hardly I have to say "no" to any purchase from a3rd party developer after the second loss of developer (first VEAO, now Razbam). A purchase would be a too big uncertainty for the future. Sorry, but ED crashed their loyalty in that for me!
I understand your concerns, but I can say that ASC has worked very well with us to ensure that safeguards are in place to ensure support no matter of most any unforseeable issues. But I totally understand the desire to tread carefully.
