why isn't the mirage 2000 on the list, there are no sims about french jets, but if you ask my I vote for an su-27 sim
-
because it was more expensive and complex going against the idea of getting a cheap front line fighter to replace the f-104 that the nato was using

so.. is the mig-29 trust to weight ratio lower than the f-15? I though that it was the other way around. The way I see the energy maneuver discussion is this: Energy maneuver was developed to counter jets that could turn tighter than the american jets, in other words the russian jets could turn tighter and faster. exp: f4 vs mig-19 and 17 Energy maneuver is not only about keeping your airplane from getting too slow, it is also about maneuvers that can help you get angles to counter your enemy aircraft superior maneuverability (I think you guys already know this) The f-16 is a great airplane but the thing I don't like about it is that it is preprogramed to fly in certain way. You can't go any-further in aoa or gs. Airplanes like the f-15 or russian jets, don't have this limitation, being able to push the jet further can save your life. (it can also kill you) where I'm going is that being limited to 25 degrees of aoa denies the possibility of doing a quick snap-shoot as the f-18 or migs or sus. I rather have a jet that have less restricted alfa limits than a restricted f-16; But that programed and scripted f-16 is been programmed to give you the best and safest aoa and gs for the airplane, and in the right hans it can still kick some mig a@s. Anyway I don't think that high aoa is bad, What I believe is that if your are in a situation on which a quick pull into high aoa can help put the piper into the enemy to end the fight then a high aoa limits is a good thing to have. (like in jets like f-18 or the su-30 mki)

There is an interview of the su-27 chief designer that says that the su-27 can do a 360 turn in 10 seconds is that true? here is the link http://vayu-sena.tripod.com/interview-simonov1.html The only way I see the su-27 doing that is at the end of the display with minimum fuel, like it is shown in one video of anatoly Kvochur here also note how different is Anatolys the display from other su-27 demos, other su-27 pilots seem to do slower rolls and more delicate movements.

New J-11B MOD coming soon by inSky workgroup of China
mikoyan replied to RICK's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
rick can you post what are the differences between the chinese flanker and the russian one? what missiles are on the wing tips? -
I guess the f-16 don't do the tail-slide because it can enter into a deep stall, and to me that is a bit troublesome, because that is a limitation, If you are in a dogfight and you do an unexpected tail slide (by mistake) then you have to worry about handling your airplane out of trouble, in a russian jet don't need to worry about that. One thing that the f-16 does better is that its reaction to the pilot input seem to be really fast because of the flight control system, in a russian jet you need to move the stick a lot to get the same input, but anyway that can be counter reacted by a good pilot, what I'm going is that all this airplanes have advantages and disadvantages. An for you f-16 fanboys, take a look at the super hornet that thing does have an great flight control system!

Guys I didn't wanted this to become a flame war, I just wanted to show you haw well the mirage handles, I'm impressed by the fact that it seems to have a great instantaneous turn rate and that it could do the tail slide without entering a flat spin thats all.

so can f-16s f-18s and f-15s do that? I know that the raptor can do it too

take a look at this video

:notworthy::notworthy:please man dig into the vapor effects! try to implement them if you don't mind! plaese please please -
Yeah like the same week, that is a shame!
-
It is a shame that it got pirated, i felt like they were stealing my work, since you can see how much effort was put in the making of the sim, I just hope ed never gets tired of creating simulators. About the protection thing; I will buy it no matter what system is used, I think that this sim is worth the little annoyances that may appear.

I was expecting this answer: WHEN IS DONE:megalol:

what was the bad experience with the russian helicopter, I ask because my country uses a mix of brands like uh-1h uh-1c, jet ranger, mi-17, uh-60, uh-60 arpia, ka-32 (not sure if we still have it in service we had two, and they ere called t-82s) we had have accidents, but I never saw that the russian build were more prom to accidents. At the beginning we got rented mi-8, the media started a controversy after two accidents on this type of helicopter, later it was clarified that it was because pilots were not used to such a big helicopter (first accident) for the second one, I don't know what was the reason but I was able to see the fuselage being carried in a truck.

I couldn't hold my tongue so I'm going to ask: When id the next DCS;) module out?
-
I guess you haven't seen boot-camp do you?
-
I will like to add, fsx looks good if you have super pc, and the flight models are not accurate and... they have a lot more money and resources than eagle.
-
can you elaborate on that one?
