Hi Dragon, I've installed your training pack but when I get there, I have a flashing pause button up on the right hand top side. Clicking it does nothing and I seem to have tried most keys on my keyboard to no success. Is there a secret? And do Ireally have to logon to multi to play these or will they work in single player the same?

Yep. New system here. Old video card. Never had a crash. A bit o stuttering but hopefully the new 560 Twin Frozer OC that's on its way will fix that.

Wow. Thanks for all those great answers. I thought on maybe one of the generated missions I saw some bad guys danger close. But maybe that was some lesser sim like Apache Air Assault. Headspaces question deserves merit tho. I certainly be looking into that.:pilotfly:

I know it's no longer "Ring the bell and run like Hell." but I was wondering if, in a real combat situation and especially if there was an immenent threat, would you calmly sit thru the left engine and then right spool up or would you be firing both at the same time and rolling as quickly as possible? And how about taxiing? Would your taxi speed be 20mph or 60? Just curious.:)

Flashing 'Note' On The HUD I've had this come up a few times. Probably after a failed bombing attempt, but I'm not sure. Spent a lot of time trying to find it in the manuals to no avail. What does it mean? Can I access the complete explanation and fix it? Should I ignor it?

Even tho I just spent a crapload to build myself a new system, one thing I kept was my two yr old Vid card. I have noticed a bit of jerks and laggs in the game and watching HDTV downloads on the big screen so I started prowling for a new one. Down to two choices (money IS an issue). 1. Radeon XFX HD 6870 900mhz 1gb for $220. 2. GeForce GTX 560 880mhz 1gb dx11 for $220. I've just boosted my pagefile to 'recommended' and will see how that changes anything but I think I'll upgrade the card anyways. Oh ya, those prices are Canadian.

Is there any difference between the Instand Action missions and the Single missions. They look identical.

The bridge was never the object. It was the AA. As in 'Attack Air Defenses.'

Still looking to solve this problem. I wonder if they dealt with it in the patch?

Nope. I have checked switches and frequencies and they are set right. And I do have chatter with the wingman as he pipes up with 'mudspike' or whatever. And I have checked and unchecked easy comms to no avail. And...I have tried the commands before, after and in close proximity to chatter that me calls out. Nada. Too bad. If I had eight Mavericks slung, I'd walk right thru this first mission.

Ok. Thanks 159th for finally pounding that into my thick skull. I've got the commands up and asked wing to go after ground threats. Got no reply and, for the life of me couldn't find him. But, I will. Step by step. Baby steps. Baby steps.:joystick:

Ok. Im jumpin into this one (see my query Wingman Commands).I think Bahger is like me. Just trying to get thru a Quick mission and use the wingman commands. I've just gotten nowhere and have read up and fiddled with the radio settings (VHF set to 251 mhz.) I see it's listed as a keyboard command in options, so why aint it workin???

I guess I should explain myself a littlle better. With the little time I have, I really haven't been able to immerse myself the way I would like to. I've been thru all the tutorials and, with my memory, will need to go over them again and again to make the game work for me. I am also very stubborn. That means staying with an initial mission till I get it down pat. So, I started with the first quick mission. I went with the game mode and could not get the gunsight pipper up. Solved this by switching to sim mode. and easily got my gunsight. I have now waisted the first three targets and am out of Mavs. And, there's my wingman. Just circling around, following along. So, the question is still. How do I send my winggie after ground defenses? Remember, I am doing the first Quick mission. No setups. No preflight checks. Just jump into the action. And, I hope I do not have to jump back into game mode to have G LWin work.

Do these actually work? I'm still trying to get thru the first quick mission and a little help from the guy flying around with me would be great. I try G LWIn for Attack Ground Targets and I get nothing. Nada. And no response from winggie.

Hey Nate. Same stick also. Question. With my hat swich in use as a lookaround in the cockpit (which I like), would it be some sort of conflict to have it mapped with something else. I saw this in Apache Air Assault when I mapped something else in and got for eg., look left and roll left at the same time.

MEIN GOTT! Did I start all this? Let's all just step back and take a breath. I took no offense at any of the light hearted remarks. So, let's drop it. Now, back on track. The Quickstart guide is one of several manuals installed with the game Goto: Start; all programs; Eagle Dynamics; DCS A-10C; and there's your list of Adobe Reader manuals. I jumped into the first quick mission, fiddled with everything and was unable to bring up the gun (circular one) site or get the DSMS to display 'guns'. Jumped out and switched to sim mode and had no problem doing this on retry. So, forget about game mode. Who needs it anyways when it's really not much different from sim besides all the brightly lit icons. And of course sim mode seems to work. So, let's all get out there and, well....blow things up!:smilewink:
