  2. I had this mission before but have just installed the game on a new SSD and cant find it either. Somewhere we can get it?

  4. I skimmed the thread so I'm not sure it has been asked or not yet but... on the same note the winggie takes off and climbs faster than us. Even when I set him up with the exact same loadout. This simplified model has been, on several occasions, responsible for bringing us both down in flames after running into us. In the real world, wouldn't he keep his distance? Of course, he takes forever to catch up after takeoff so maybe the SFM is a good thing. Then again, those weird dives and climbs he does to gain height seem a little random.
  5. Finally got past the startup and taxi only to be told to shut er down in two minutes but doesn't protocol state that you need to cool down for somewhere around four minutes? And, I made the changes in the editor to stop the fratricide by changing both helos and a10s to Georgian only to have the damn thing to, once again, CTD a short time into the taxi portion.
  6. Has anyone tried these? Are they all done up in Russian? Ie; voiceovers and text? Is there a workaround for us ignorant westerners? I'd love to give em a shot.
  7. Bahg. Try Kashuri Gap. I crashed when my winggie got a sucessful hit with a 105 on that one. Furthermore, I tried CBUTest mission again, I think by Roigat to find that I still crash in that one. These are, of course 09 version missions and yours is made in 10 ver. Wondering if it really makes a difference and how would one edit these to make them 10 version missions.

  9. Bahg Those tanks sure do look like they are rolling along a lot faster than 30. I did have that thought about stopping the column with a Mav. And I did hunt down the AA first nailed one and directed my winggie at another. Loadout was 2 105s, 2 97s and six Mav Ds. Goin back now to try the Mav trick + I'll try ccip on the second column with a 105
  10. Just flew it. Now that I've got my CTDs ironed out, the 97s and 105s worked beautifully. It was interesting to see them NOT hit their mark as they wouldn't with tanks charging along at 60 mph. Flying in at 12000 ft, setting the heights for 1800 with the TGP locked in on the first tank had them explode way too late. I reset to 1200 for a second pass and only got the tail end. With a bit of guesswork I did better having the TGP locked 100 meters ahead of the column and deployed at 1200. Bloody good fun, tho.:)
  11. Are these missions available as SP without joining STP? Not trying to be difficult. Just have no time for most online. And the pings for 90% of the servers (also locked) are way too high for me anyhow.
  12. This game seems to like a full install as opposed to just an update. Go figger. Every update for me caused bugs. The answer for me, unfortunately has always been to uninstall the original and install a full game update.
  13. Would this be the same with fellow players in MP? With my very limited online experience I often have a real hard time finding targets or especially avoiding sams. It would be awesome if I could slew to someone elses' target from a safe distance.
  14. Obviously the TGP can see a lot farther than the human eye. Not sure what the laser range is but I do know the TGP makes a lock at just under 15 miles. You know this when you see the small square actually snap to the target. And that's what the laser locks to. I do wonder how it is effected by clouds tho. Like, semi cloud cover must dissipate a laser, mustn't it?

  16. I've been putting a different spin on this mission. Noticed that after the sams, I'm out of Mavs. I tried taking on the convoy but just had too many guys shooting at me. So now I get the Sams and then head back to base for a reload, and waste those close by bad guys that are messing up the base. once, I came in heavy and damaged my ship beyond repair. Once I trued taking on the helos and got nailed. And last night I landed, got fuelled and reloaded and was shot down on takeoff. My plan now is to get back before the helos, re and re and take off staying clear of the helos. If I succeed, I will hop over the ridge and take out all the AA I can before hitting the convoy.
  17. I'm glad somebody's makin it work. Cause I'm still strugglin. I am using one of the original refuelling missions and the refuelling speed is about 180 knts. As I tried a refuel in another mission and that was around 200, I was wondering if 180 is a tad slow with more likelyhood of bouncing around and losing it after connection? But, basically I'm sure it's just me. Then again, how do I explain that the the wives and kids of the flight crew I sent to a flaming watery grave last time around? Didn't see any chutes.

  20. Did the very same thang. I need that guy. How do I get him airborn?
  21. Just tried it. Found my winggie got his wingtip hung up trying to round the first corner out of the hanger. This ended his play. Noticed that the map actually shows the hanger protruding over the taxiway. Can the hanger be set back a bit with the editor? Or should I just try again and see if he gets by?

  23. I've a sneaking suspicion that there's a lot of guys like me out there. Love the game, love the campaigns, fly limited multiplayer because; there doesn't seem to be a lot of open servers and I haven't the time to join a squadron. And the servers that are open usually have way too high a ping for me to join with my limited wireless setup. the single missions I have downloaded are great but I do love working my way thru campaigns. I just wish that the people who are good at this would crank some more out. Keeping in mind, of course that the distance to target in the shore is waaaay too long and a nice 30 to 50 miles would rock.:) I'd even pay for an expansion pack as long as it had a good half dozen campaigns in it.:pilotfly:
  24. The trigger for calling up a second CAP needs something. I think maybe they have to come all the way from the base and at over 100 miles that aint gonna help us poor dog.
  25. I completed the last one. It said something to the effect that the war was over. It just did not show a completed campaign. And, I believe, it wouldn't let me carry on or replay the last mission.
